A bunch of crooks, avoid them.
Fortunately, I was able to get my money back through chargeback procedure with my bank.
I reckon they would have only bad reviews if not for the few positive ones which they most likely posted themselves.

Put a booklet in my basket, and the postage cost was £10. I emailed to report I felt something was wrong, as the item should have cost £1.53 to post. No reply. Thanks to others for their reports; I now know that the excessive postage cost would have been a total waste of money.

I ordered a few items on the and sent a cheque off in the post. Having heard nothing I sent an email on a week later to see if they had got the cheque OK, I got no reply.

Emailed them again a week later as the cheque still wasn't cashed and only then did I check on here to see what others had to say...

I feel such a fool!!

Terrible.
First camera I waited weeks for and sent 3 emails which weren’t replied to and eventually rang to be told it had already been sold.
I stupidly bought another which is also not in stock and still waiting for my refund.

Very strange company. They had the camera I wanted and at apparently the right condition. Put it in basket and was slightly set back by the £10 postage charge. But thought i would go ahead. They took money from my account, but no acknowledgement of the purchase.
I emailed to make sure they had got order. No reply. Two days later I get phone cal to say the camera I have bought is on loan to someone and can't be dispatched for another week. I politely declined and asked for my money back. Not paying £10 postage for the camera to take two weeks to be dispatched.

Purchased a lens from website. No response for weeks, then told he didn't have it in stock. No refund forthcoming despite repeated requests. DO NOT USE.

Absolute joke of a company. No items shipped, no response to emails of eventual PayPal dispute. Held my money for a month and then when I got my refund from PayPal it was minus the £8 postage.. nice little scam.

This is the most knowledgeable classic camera dealer in the world! If you are a collector you will be shocked of the vast collection of cameras and lenses they have on offer!

I've tried to buy cameras from the website, but I dont recommend it as they don't always post it, and rarely respond to emails or texts . I'm still trying to get a refund from an order 2 months ago. When you do get a response from the owner, he is polite and offers to try and help, but there seems little relationship between what is on the website and what they can find to post out. People who go to the shop in person seem to have a much better experience.

Terrible company. I bought a camera from their website and waited 2 weeks to arrive. Nothing arrived so I tried to contact them but got no reply. I opened a Paypal dispute and got my money back after a month when Paypal decided in my favour. Waste of time, you should AVOID this company!

Usually you can tell a bad company by its website. The website is nice, and they seem to have new stock every week. Nice photos etc. The problem is the same as many have cited. Once I placed the order I waited... and waited. I emailed after a month, and got the "we will ship soon", after two months "we will ship tomorrow"... 3, 4, 5 months later, I finally submitted a refund request with PayPal. I don't really understand how they stay in business. I know with the pandemic and all things have been topsy turvy, but I have ordered from other camera stores in the UK, and the items appeared in Canada 7-10 days later. There is no excuse, especially if they keep updating stock. One wonders if they actually have stock? I would give them an ultra-wide berth. How can you trust people that can't even be bothered to reply to emails?

It's shocking that so many people have had the same experience.. I ordered a camera 3 months ago which was advertised as fully working and in excellent condition. I was then constantly given excuse after excuse about it needing to be checked, and empty promises that it would be sent out in the next day or 2. Obviously this never happened, and I didn't want to waste any energy debating what was really going on for 3 months as I would've been fed more lies.

Would not recommend spending your money here...

Avoid at all cost....recently purchased a Canon 1ds mk3 oly to find that whe it arrived I had no power cable for the charger.....after 6/7 emails to them and the promise of them sending me one...which I was told they had found and would despatch immediately...nearly 2 weeks on and no communication and surprise no power cable...personally I would never recommend this shop to anyone..after sales and communication are absolutely awful....steer clear folks.

I wish I could give zero stars.
I ordered items, and after a couple of weeks I chased up the order.
When I finally got through on the phone, I was told that my order had not yet been sent out, but promised he would do it straight away.
This became a weekly ritual, until after 2 months I gave up and asked for a refund.
I have zero confidence that this will happen.

Great prices .....except the stock is not there ??
Paid for three items online ,heard nothing for a week?
After 5 calls , 5 promises and two more weeks I gave up. Called a 6th time and cancelled the order , promised to refund immediately.......5 days later no refund. About to raise a dispute through PayPal.

Bought a lens via their website 22/02/2021. Couple of days later I had not received delivery info, so thought I would give them a call - Very pleasant guy spoke on the phone, unfortunately and to my disbelief he informed me he didn't know if the lens was even in stock, despite having taken payment for it! After a quick "search" in the shop he confirmed he in fact did not have the lens.
Only reason for two stars and not one is because he very swiftly issued a refund.
Nice guy, nice stock on website but clearly no clue about stock and updating website!
You cannot take peoples money for things you dont have!!!

On Sunday the 31st of January 2021 I paid for a used second-hand item advertised on the website of

I received the usual bounce-back (a receipt showing my payment and confirmation of the order for an old manual 35mm film camera with lens. I had to wait for 2 weeks for delivery of the item.

I've been a MW CLASSIC customer for 16 years or more , and my experience is very good indeed . As a amateur "photographer" ,with a great interest in film cameras and equipment , i very often realise how fortunate I am for getting very fine engineering cameras and lenses .Some 50,60,70 years after they were manufactured.I can't,or I do not expect a camera 50-70 years old camera,for example,to be immaculate .But how many times i've got a great kit! We are all fortunate just for the fact increasingly rare and difficult to get items are available in this shop!... Call them,like i do,to arrange a visit,and you very likely will be amazed with what you see,with prices, with very friendly assistance .MW CLASSIC is an Alladin's Cave of stunning cameras,lenses ,filters ,projectors,books... It is one of the fine shops/dealers in the world. Period.

I bought from them twice,
One from Ebay and one from their online, the owner is responsive for picking up phones. I think a lot of complains are that they do not ship the item, it is also because their online stock is not updated, as a matter of fact, not sure if it is even updated. I can still see two items I bought are shown as 'in-stock' on their website.
I think their price is competitive, and the quality of item really depends on personal view, if they can update their stock list, it will be a 5 star review.

One star can not an order for payment in the past 40 days do not answer the phone, e-mail does not reply, only through paypal application for a refund.This shop is a joke. Don't waste your time.
