I would avoid at all costs due to poor communication and lack of customer service.
As I dropped my car for a damaged tyre and it’s MOT I was told by staff they would fail the MOT if the tyre needed replacement and they needed to order one in, obviously I said this was not acceptable and they should call and let me know if that’s the case as I had time left to sort the tyre before my MOT expired and I didn’t want it showing as a failed test as I have a clear MOT history and plan to sell the car imminently.
Later in the day I received a call from the same staff member stating they needed authority for my repayment tyre via Auto protect, at which point I asked when my MOT was going to be done only to be told he had already done and failed it, to say I was annoyed was an understatement.
I had no call telling me this he also tried to blame me saying the time slot I booked would not have given them time to do the MOT and replace the damage tyre despite me calling and speak to a staff member before booking in both appointments.
I now have a failed MOT showing on file and was very disappointed with the overall attitude and lack of communication from this one staff member.
They also recorded incorrect information on the paperwork and I had to call after he never gave me a copy of the tyre invoice.
Poor customer service and customer care overall (by one staff member), I definitely won’t be going back there and will not be recommending this business to anyone.
The manager at this branch NAZ is very dishonest he asked me to fail vehicles on pads brakes etc when I was testing there I left he is still working there be careful other guys are great and very honest people
Really honest garage, most definitely recommend.

Damaged my alloys fitting tyres took 3 weeks for them to get back to me to tell me they wouldn't take it further because it was kerb damage even though I included photos of before fitting the tyres and then after absolute joke
24045012 Is my case number but the regional support manager has already declined it even with the evidence so I know you're only trying to look good for other people

Absolutely disgusted with this place, would give zero stars if I could. I ended up booking an MOT there because I was in Essex seeing my boyfriend and couldn't get to my normal garage and wish I hadn't even bothered. They took full advantage of the fact that I was a young woman with little knowledge of cars. They failed my car on a long list of issues, going so far as to make things up/add things that weren't even on the MOT and then tried to scaremonger me into booking in nearly a grands worth of work with them, including replacing an anti roll bar linkage joint that I had already had replaced. Luckily for me, I have family who knows a thing or two about mechanics and saved me from getting into debt over work that simply did NOT need doing. I will never use this garage again and encourage everyone to avoid at all costs. Absolutely disgraceful.

Edit: after some back n forth they have now agreed to take my car and rectify the damage and paid for a hire vehicle........still not agreed to redo mot but say they will discuss that once work is completed......will update once sorted. Shouldn't have had these issues, shouldn't have had to argue it but at least they're now trying to put things right

Definitely a company to avoid.
Booked 2 front tyres to be fitted before my mot and guy has cross threaded one of the bolts in the hub.....instead of owning up to it, he drilled out the bolt, propped it in the hole (so it's fallen out between fitting and driving to mot station) and driven off telling me job was done......when mot station took wheel cap off they called me over to look, got in touch with help center who spoke to fitter.......he denied any cross threading issues and apologized if "your bolt dropped out as you drove away" supposed to sort it today but since been told he's now saying all bolts were firmly attached and denying the issue.........not even a call back from a manager just left trying to deal with customer services on the helpline.
I've explained I work nights yet now being told "fitter will call you to come and assess the issue at some point today"
I went with what I thought was a reputable company and would never go near them again
I have video audio of the whole job and the amount of "drilling" your dude does is absolutely amazing........he knew what he'd done and instead of owning up he's left me with a car I can't use due to incompetence and not being accountable for his mistake

Last month had my front discs and pads replaced along with the rear pads, during the installation the fuse box lid was broken by the fitters, over the past couple of weeks we noticed a grinding noise from the car, booked it into Peugeot to get it investigated and it was down to a badly fitted shim on the rear off side, DO NOT use the old National Tyres ( now Halfords) in Grays, I will be putting in a bill to their head office tomorrow
Hi Chantelle, I contacted the customer service email address for Halfords last night with the full situation including bills and photos.
I am not putting my personal email address on a public forum
EDIT:
Despite emailing both National Tyres and Halfords I have yet to receive a response or even acknowledgement of the emails.......

Found rob and Paul very personable and professional will continue to use National based on them two guys

Told that tracking equipment was not working upon arriving, no phone call, nothing. Had to go elsewhere and pay £15.00 more in cash, with no cashpoints close by

The team at grays are awful and don't have any customer service. I use them all the time and yet when you pop in to check your tyres, its too hard for them. I cant remeber the exact date but its ongoing
