My experience with this mortgage company has been absolutely dreadful. What should have been a straightforward process turned into an incredibly stressful and frustrating experience because of the constant delays, poor communication, and terrible customer service.

Getting updates has been difficult, and the lack of clear information and timely responses has made an already stressful situation even worse. It is unacceptable to leave customers waiting for long periods without proper explanations or reassurance, especially when something as important as a mortgage is involved.

The level of customer service has been extremely disappointing. I expected professionalism, support, and clear communication, but instead I have been left frustrated, stressed, and deeply unhappy with how everything has been handled.

A mortgage is a major financial commitment, and customers deserve to be treated with respect and kept informed throughout the process. Unfortunately, my experience has fallen far below expectations.

I would not recommend this service based on my experience. If you value your time, peace of mind, and good customer service, think carefully before choosing this company. This has been an unnecessarily stressful experience, and the company seriously needs to improve its communication, efficiency, and treatment of customers.

Absolutely brilliant service from start to finish. Anne Marie felt with the sale of my mums house could not fault anything she was so helpful and kept us informed every step of the way. Cannot recommend enough.

Bethan and Team handled a complex admin exchange of selling my newish home in Abergavenny for a detached bungalow in Magor . Issues occurred due to the original home was on a Managed estate and the new home I took Equity on . The first 3 months were quiet and slow but all went well , with problems occurring over July and August , however just when it all could of gone wrong , Bethan stayed cool and professional when I was starting to get worried , and of course she pulled it off as we worked together as a team and made the buyers solicitor's go with it , One sell and buy completed . Thank you Bethan and team without you I could of lost all my hopes and wishes for the future

I had a great experience with this company because of how they took care of me.

The overall experience was fine, but as a first time buyer the communication fell short of what I needed. I often felt unsure about the process and therefore asked a lot of questions. On occasion, the respond I got made me feel like an inconvenience and that I should know the answers.

One email hadn’t received a reply, so I called simply to find out where we were in the process. I received a short and blunt reply which left me feeling unsupported and unsure of what was happening next.

However, in the final two weeks before completion, I began communicating with Samantha. Samantha massively increased my experience with the company. She was polite, kind and efficient and always replied to my emails in a timely and professional manner.

A very helpful service. We chose Newbold solicitors after using them for our first house purchase and also following the experiences of family members over the past few years who had used them for conveyancing services. They are a first class team and we found them easy enough to get hold of when we needed to discuss matters if not by phone then by email where responses were either same day or next day. Jacqui was very helpful and clear with the advice she gave, and made a great contribution to the smoothness of the move.

Unfortunately, I wouldn’t recommend Newbold Solicitors based on our experience.

Communication throughout was poor and telephone interactions were frequently abrupt, unfriendly and at times outright rude. As first-time buyers, we relied on our solicitor to explain the process, but we were often made to feel as though we should already know what was required rather than being guided through it.

I found Charlene particularly difficult to deal with. Her manner was argumentative and dismissive. During one conversation, I challenged that an important requirement had not previously been made clear to us. Rather than trying to resolve the issue, she argued that it had been explained and told me, “Well, everyone else understands that.” When I became upset after being told the issue could potentially affect our purchase, her response was, “Do you want to compose yourself and call me back?” I found the complete lack of empathy or reassurance quite shocking.

More generally, calling the office became something I dreaded. Staff often sounded irritated by questions, information wasn’t always explained clearly and we didn’t always receive the correct documentation. We also had to query unexpected additional costs during the process.

We already lived in the property and there was no onward chain, yet the purchase took far longer than expected. I considered changing solicitors but was concerned that doing so would cause further delays.

We were referred to Newbold by Mojo Mortgages, who were fantastic throughout, so unfortunately the contrast in service was significant.

Thankfully our purchase has now completed, but the experience was far more stressful than it needed to be and I would not choose to use Newbold Solicitors again.

It can be confusing for a first time buyer, but I felt at ease despite my purchase being quite complex with third party involvement. I would highly recommend them to anyone. Shiekh was very supportive and explained the why at each stage. While its a long process it was concluded, effectively and successfully. I have learnt a lot along the way and hope not to need his services again however, I would recommend to another landlord.

The absolute best solicitors to go to!! Mine and my fiancées Experience with them has been more than excellent! I received excellent and professional service from Sarah Cooks team. As a first time buyer and having a previous sale fall through, the buying process was very stressful for me.
