The doors are great and have given our garage conversation the hi spec finish we wanted - they offer versatility and look really smart.

However the gloss has been taken off by a series of events which meant we faced delays due to manufacturing errors and damage. Firstly the doors arrived for installation (very late on a bank holiday Friday afternoon) and didn’t fit the aperture cut out by the builders. This was not a builder error as we checked 3 times the size and dimensions needed, the final time on the phone as he was about to put the cutter in the wall. NWD admitted it was a manufacturing error and that to solve the issue we would either need to make the aperture bigger or wait several weeks for replacement doors to be made. We chose the first option at cost to us for the builder to come back on bank holiday Saturday to make the aperture bigger but NWD agreed they would cover that cost. Fast forward 2 weeks and the doors are fitted and there is damage to some of the side filler panels which would need replacing - this took 4 weeks to be resolved. And despite many chasers and a visit to the showroom where I had a chat with Claire who again promised to repay me the money for the builder I have to date not received the money.

Can’t fault the product and the fitters were good but I would be cautious in agreeing to pay the final instalment before installation in case of issues such as this so that you have some protection.

Great product that gave us exactly what we wanted, which wasn't traditional bi-fold doors. The ability to separate each piece is great, it looks really smart and the system was installed with no issues. Having had our new wave doors for over a year now, all is still great and though we had an issue with one door not opening smoothly after a while, the after care support from New Wave is brilliant and they came and sorted it swiftly and simply. The whole team seems like an extended family and I wish them all the best of luck and to continue the work ethos they always show.

I needed replacement hinges for my swing and slide doors that were installed over 10 years ago. I contacted New Wave Doors, I dealt with Claire who was fantastic and sent me replacements despite the hinges no longer being produced. Fantastic service and will definitely use them again.

Our New Wave Patio Doors were installed sometime ago but unfortunately one door needed to be repaired and I contacted New Wave to ask if they could help with spare parts we needed for our window repair engineer to enable him to carry out the repair.
Unfortunately, our particular doors were discontinued but New Wave were very quick to offer to look for the spare part they might have in storage to enable the repair to take place.
They very kindly forwarded the spare parts to us within days, at no charge, and our doors are now fixed.
Thank you New Wave and Claire in particular for your speedy and extremely helpful service.

Very poor customer service. We reported a problem about door in July. They promised to fix in few days .
Now writing in Sep that they will look at this in October .

Very disappointing. We kept the doors closed lot of days due to fear of not able to close it .

We required some parts for our Tilt & Slide doors, phoned New Wave Doors office at Bristol and spoke to Claire, she gave us a brilliant service and it was all sorted within minutes, she new exactly what we wanted and even gave us advise on how to fit. We recently purchased aluminium bi-folding doors from New Wave Doors and are extremely pleased with the whole experience. From the initial enquiry through to delivery, the process was smooth, professional, and well organised.

The team were helpful and responsive throughout, answering any questions quickly and making everything straightforward. The quality of the doors is excellent — they look fantastic, feel very solid, and have completely transformed the space.

We’re very happy with both the product and the customer service and would happily recommend New Wave Doors to anyone looking for high-quality aluminium bi-fold doors.

Great doors, when they work. Fitted in during Q4 2024 but 3 weeks ago they no longer open. New Waves attitude appears to be one of total indifference, they just do not care. After several phonecalls I still have no indication when they can repair. Appalling customer care.

Claire was so good that she helped me stage by stage of my purchase.

We purchased doors from New Wave Doors in 2019, and unfortunately our experience has been consistently disappointing. Since installation, we’ve had to arrange repairs three separate times due to issues such as door restrictors falling out, seals failing and needing replacement of locks and handles.

The situation recently escalated when our main door actually blew off its frame and landed on the decking — a serious safety concern. When we contacted customer services, we were told the doors were not designed to be left open, and therefore the damage wouldn’t be covered under warranty.

To make matters worse, we were then informed that the original model is no longer produced, leaving us with no repair option and instead being advised to purchase entirely new doors at a cost of around £7,000.

Overall, this has been a frustrating and costly experience, with poor durability, limited support, and a lack of accountability from the company. I would not recommend based on our experience.

I purchased 2 sets of 3m swing and slide aluminium bi-fold doors from New Wave in 2021. Delivery was great and they arrived when expected. I installed them myself and they are still a talking point when we have friends round for are annual get togethers in the summer. Very pleased with the doors and New Wave as a company especially @Zoe Evans. I have recommended to others and will be looking to using them again in the near future.

When looking for doors for my extension I found these doors on line and the explanation about them, made me think they were the doors for me. I ordered them with my builders and this was easy, they were delivered when they said they would be and fitted very quickly and efficiently in December. Now the weather is getting warmer I am starting to use them and really enjoying the versatility of them. I love the feeling of almost being in the garden. I would recommend these to anyone, the company are reliable and easy to work with and everyone I spoke to or came to my house was really kind and professional.

A big thank to Clare and her team.They provided an excellent service from start to finish.Nothing was ever to much trouble.

I have been using New Wave Doors for 5-6 years now, not only because the door system is so versatile and product is amazing but also because of the fantastic customer service I've always received from Zoe and Claire, no query or question is too much to ask, they always pick up the phone when you need them to and do all they can to help. Great company to work with.

We saw these in 2019 at a homebuilding show. We were impressed by the flexibility. We ordered a 3mtr set for us to install as my husband is a carpenter who has fitted endless doors and windows and used a laser to ensure they were fitted square and true. When originally fitted they seemed to be ok but within a few weeks they stopped locking. He adjusted them and ever since he has to adjust regularly them to ensure they lock. If they had not been so expensive we would have changed them within the 1st year. They are particularly drafty. We are now at the point after putting up with them for 5 years we are going to change them.

I was very impressed with the doors when i saw them at a show and new that they would be right for me, throughout the whole process the whole team have been outstanding, espcially Claire answering all my questions happily, it felt as every question was never a problem and that the whole team were ready to help throughout
the doors were installed and delivered on time and the aftercare has been amazing as well

Had a set of three New Wave doors installed by James and Martin, they are perfect much better than the bifold doors we had previously, we are very happy with them and New Wave as a company.

Incredible service, form meeting them at a trade show to install date, not one step had an issue. Claire especial was very professional and helpful and made sure nothing was missed and the communication was spot on. Thanks at doors fitted like a glove.

Had an amazing experience with my new wave door. I first saw them at a trade show in London. I was after a quite specific layout for my bifold door, to be 4 panel with a single opening door(not 2 joined as most bifold are on a 4 door layout) and to all stack on side of the opening. New wave could configure all that for me. They were so helpful and friendly all the way through to completion, nothing was too much trouble. They were so well priced only slightly more than normal bifolds but do so much more. I love the doors and would highly recommend New Wave
