Terrible experience trying to get a special uplift,they eventually appeared lifted all the light stuff and left the fridge freezer which was the main thing on the list apparently it was not close enough to the gate after being dragged from the back kitchen by a retired couple who keep their place in order unlike most in the Street,suppose thats what you get when you try these days and youve worked all your life so now its two uplifts at a cost of £80 absoloutly shocking from NLC their a disgrace and the sub contractors they employ are the worst!

North Lanarkshire roads are no better than 3rd world country roads, stop blowing our vehicle license tax (road tax) on public transport ie buses etc and spend it on putting down new roads instead of patchwork repairs.

Absolutely appalling - they have no heart nor compassion!! Definitely tume to move out of this horrid area !

lol I’d give 0 stars if I could there’s a North Lanarkshire council worker who lives next door to me in 11 Roslyn drive who likes to bang through my walls to my 2 and 3 year old kids because they accidentally bang while they walk if she had giving my kids a fright they could have fell down the stairs as they was going down the stairs while this happened she also then went on to make a false police report lucky for her it was all lies she told that could be proven otherwise

I was visiting my close relative in Monklands Hospital this afternoon. I was desperately trying to get parked for 40 mins, but there were not enough spaces in the hospital car park, to accommodate a large hospital, so I was forced to park in a housing estate behind the hospital

As there were narrow roads
I courteously, bumped up on the herb. I came back to the car, extremely stressed, and found I had been given a £100 parking ticket, for parking on the kerb?

There were no warnings or signs saying ‘Don’t Park On The Kerb Or You Will Get A Parking Fine’ so how this can be legal , is debatable

People park in my own estate , on the kerb , all the time , and never get tickets, but my estate is not near a hospital !

This is a blatant money making racket , taking advantage of the relatives of SICK people and it is utterly disgusting CORRUPTION!

If NLC provided more parking spaces SICK people and their families wouldn’t need to park on the street !?

I hope Karma returns the favour to Parking Attendant PA104 and NLC !

Those who make these diabolical rules have clearly never been in this situation …., Yet !

I have just been informed north Lanarkshire has closed all school libraries to high school pupils, they can't take any books out to read. Books like charles dickens, Shakespeare. How bad is this. Thee worst council in Scotland!!!!

Had an ongoing problem from upstairs neighbour for going on 4 years now, Threats, Abuse, Constant Banging, and their dog just using the shared area and my front area of the garden as it's own personal toilet.
Neighbours never clean up after it.
Called anti social behaviour team hundreds of times over the 4 years and all they tell me is the neighbours say they are doing nothing wrong, Called police and housing office at the council too, also same answer from them. The council have a duty of care to their tenants and they just don't care or do anything to resolve these problems.

I absolutely love North Lanarkshire Council and their employees, I cannot say a bad word against them as they have helped through what I can only describe as a traumatic time of my life.
When I didn't know where to turn NLC were there to help with a friendly smile.

They helped with my return to the area from down south,set me up with temp accommodation for a while.
I didn't live kn the streets like other councils may have you do.

Then they next placed me into supported accommodation where I met people who are now my friends.

Not once did NLC turn their back on me, they where always there supporting me in the Simon Community and when it came time to move they where there also there to support me.

I have always been greeted with a smile from NLC employees and I would guess that any negative reviews are from people who exxpect everything on a plate to be handed to them.
Perhaps they should smile back at staff who are only trying to help them, then they might get what they want or need.

Help is out there.and NLC staff can get you the help you need, you just need to be open to it.

Don't blame NLC for the situation your in, they didn't put you there, you did.

However, NLC will work tirelessly to get you out if that situation and back on your feet.

There is so much support avaliable you just need to set the ball rolling and they will provide.

Well done NLC I love what you have done for me.

The John Smith Leisure pool in Airdrie did not reopen after the New Year due to damage caused by a burst pipe. More than four months have passed since and as far as we are aware there is still no sign of the remedial work being carried out to allow the pool to reopen. There appears to be a lack of communication between the council and the local residents for example no progress reports and anticipated timescale for the reopening date! Is it any wonder the ‘Reform’ party are doing so well!!!

Unanswered telephone Calls , Unanswered emails , Unanswered Complaints , Customer Service Is Negative.

Made a few complaints online had no feed back what’s so ever.
I will be taking this further.
We are all fed up with the road works over the last year, but the contractor that are nominated to do the repairs are useless. They do not know how to complete a road repair.
I have now got a flat tyre and probably more damage to my car now, due to large pot holes on South Biggar Road.
Typical NL just fill it with temporary fill that will do 🤬

Garage tomorrow to see what the damage is and probably get ignored again.

They are the worst council in Scotland.According to the housing polls they are second from the bottom that says it all.I have dampness and mould in my property and it is affecting my breathing.Unless something is done soon i will be seeking legal advice.

The cut back on the general bins being taken out from weekly to fortnightly to every 3 bloody weeks is disgusting. Every household has different needs when it comes to waste. At least move back to fortnightly!

Called to book a taxi at 8:33am.. taxi was cancelled and another one was dispatched at 8:45.. Then that one was cancelled at 9:12am and finally on my 4th taxi which I am on now and I am late for work. Never been late for work in my life and now I am nearly 39 minutes late. Bloody joke

In prosecuting a complaint of discrimination and failure to comply with NLC policy, I emailed my case to the CEO Des Murray. Not only has this went unacknowledged for coming up to two weeks since submission, no-one from his office has reached out, that I have no doubt is by design

Des Murray, I intend seeing this through to conclusion and you ignoring me is not conducive to resolving.
You will note from my e-mail the equality and human rights was copied in, EHR will be kept updated of the continued failure from yourself/ office in this matter.

Social work absolute joke instead of trying to help you want to terrorise you out of your own home and if their workers threaten you they ignore complaints raised so their staff allowed to speak to anyone way they please

Just reported my broken shower today.got told I would have to wait until7th June for it to be fixed.seemingly this is not a priority if you have a bath in house.i told the girl I struggle to get into the bath due to having spondylitis. She said I wasn't registered disabled with them .didn't know i had to do this. Terrible customer service .maybe not pay my rent till 7th June.

I'm giving 5 for Nicola. That absolute sweet heart helped me out so much when everyone else was giving me different numbers, emails and inundating me with information. Nicola was compassionate, and so lovely, she set up my 25% discount, set up a DD for outstanding balance and cancelled a debt collection on me. I absolutely am so grateful i got her when I called. She is an asset to the council and made my day

Contacted the council to report 2 uncontrollable dogs that were not on leads and pissing and shitting wherever they wanted. The owners did not clean up after their dogs who were allowed to enter other peoples properties to do their business and it’s just left there despite their owners seeing this happen. I was advised by the council that this is not an anti social matter. Therefore all residents within the North Lanarkshire council area should be aware that no action will be taken against people who do not control their pets or clean up after them. So go on everyone let your dogs roam free off leads and do not clean up their mess since the council has made it very clear that this acceptable behaviour. They clearly don’t care about their community’s or environment.

Customer service is non existant.
It's definitely a case of who you know with this council.
No help whatsoever.
12 month waiting list to get council owned trees cut back that are encroaching my property!
Parks are not looked after, roads are full of potholes, housing department are useless....8 years on a waiting list for a council house with still no sign of an offer! The list goes on and on.
All top management need replaced and policies and procedures need overhauled!
