We needed a quick sale on our house to secure our dream home. Claire has been brilliant at rapidly turning around getting our house on the market viewings and offer within 2 weeks. Photos and marketing looked brill. The online portal to manage the advert, viewings and offers were great. Claire provided viewing feedback within 15 mins and was very available on phone and email to help us whenever needed.

Claire has been amazing from Start to Finish. The Portal made the whole process really transparent and we had constant communication with the EA and Vendors which was really helpful during the process. Highly recommend!

Luigi was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. We went in with very little understanding of how house purchases and mortgages work, and he was able to talk us through step by step what all the jargon meant, what the real world implications were for different types of property or mortgage, and was very patient with all of our many questions! Luigi was with us every step of the way and always quick to respond to any queries or concerns we had. I've been recommending Luigi to ebvery single person I meet who is thinkign about buying a home!

We chose Claire Kington at Ocean to handle the sale of our much-loved family home before a move back to Australia. We instantly felt she was no-nonsense, open and direct and we really valued feeling like we could ask her anything about the process and she'd be totally transparent with us. She picked the market perfectly and the asking price created a huge amount of interest in the property. Realistic advice and support, with a great viewing

I viewed a property yesterday with Pamela and wanted to thank her for the excellent service she provided throughout.

Pamela was friendly, professional, and very easy to talk to. She took the time to answer all of my questions honestly and never made me feel rushed or pressured. The viewing was relaxed and informative, and I really appreciated her openness and knowledge of the property.

Ocean were also the letting agents for my previous home, so I was already familiar with the company, and this experience reinforced the positive impression I had of them. Pamela was a great representative of the business and made what can often be a stressful property search feel much more straightforward.

Although I decided not to proceed with the property, I am very grateful for Pamela's help and would happily recommend both her and Ocean to anyone looking to rent in Bristol.

Attempting to rent a property with my partner and the number of checks and forms we have to fill out just to rent a property is ridiculous.

First we have to fill out a form to Ocean Letting, saying names, emails, numbers, jobs, guarantor, salary, pets etc.

Then a Docusign - filling out the exact same information again.

Then they request confidential forms such as your contract of employment to verify your job… but that isn’t enough - they also need your HR name , email address, phone number to contact them to verify it again, ontop of 3 months payslips.

Then you have to go through a third party to do more verification again. This is where it gets good - either Ocean or the third party leak you information to companies so you get spammed with cold calls during the work day, asking if you want help from another 3rd party sorting your bills or if you need a removal van.

Then after all this it still isn’t enough. They want access to your bank statements and get you sign a letter of authority.

Then they need your previous landlords details, once they have sent an email and filled out a form verifying you lived at the address then they also need to contact them via phone and have a phone call.

Not at the end of the process yet so I am sure there is plenty more to do and even more personal information I have to share with them … which I’m sure is being looked after properly and not given to 3rd parties (sarcastic btw).

I understand that they need to complete checks and a lot of this is standard, however, it could have been condensed into 1 , 2 forms maximum. And the use of the third party, the data leak and the constant barrage of calls and emails is so excessive. This has all been on top of a phone call with the actual landlord himself (who seemed like a lovely bloke but it is a shame he has gone with ocean).

Steve is an absolute legend! He has seen me through a few house sales and purchases and quite simply he cares! Which is everything! An estate agent can’t guarantee all will go smoothly but what’s most important is having somebody like Steve when things do veer off track to quickly steer you back to safety with guidance and care. Cannot rate Ocean enough and a massive thanks to Steve and the team

Nicola and Neil from the mortgage team were super helpful in finding us the best deal to suit us, managing the whole process and making it super smooth from start to finish. Nicola was invaluable in chasing the mortgage provider when they were being slow and massively helpful throughout!

A constant update kept and when the ther solicitors were being very slow and not at all eficient kept me informed so I could contact the buyer directly to help speed things up.
