Steer away from this pension provider!
Options Workplace Pensions is possibly the worst and most inefficient pensions company I have ever encountered. I would certainly advise everyone to steer away from them!
It took them 1 year(!) to combine two separate workplace pensions I had with them. They rarely responded to emails, not to mention phone calls. After leaving the company, who provided me with Options Workplace Pension, I decided to transfer my pension to a different provider. My completed transfer documents were sent by the new provider to Options on 26th December(!), and it seemed all was well until this week, when they emailed me that certain information, which was CLEARLY on the Transfer Document, was not provided. They also wanted me to sing further documents, relating to risk taking, which was also clearly laid out in the Transfer Documents and signed by myself.
And I am absolutely certain, the saga will continue.
Previously, when I did a housekeeping of all old workplace pensions (Scottish Widows, Aviva, etc) it took me no longer than 1 month to combine all and transfer to one pot. Options Pensions is making the process unnecessarily difficult and long.
Appalling company
Appalling service in every way possible.
I'd suggest Options invest in a Customer Care course for all staff.
Took them 6 months to send my small lump sum.
They don't answer the phones, or you're on hold for ages, messages are taken, promised call-backs are not received, emails are ignored or replies take literally weeks to come through.
Don't bother emailing the names shown in other Trustpilot reviews here, these people don't reply either, but it 'looks good' for the business to pretend they read here and take action.

It took ages for my pension transfer to be made but despite my frustration I found Daniella Federico extremely helpful throughout the process and she constantly chased the recipient pension fund to enable the transfer
Devendra Varsani is brilliant
Have had Dev looking after my pension for many years now and he is absolutely on top of everything he does. He is easy to communicate with, extremely professional and very reactive to any request made of him, nothing seems to be difficult when I deal with him and I am extremely grateful for his help and assistance. I hope to maintain our relationship for many years to come.

Not good is it, I need my up to date about my pension, you have no right to keep my information, I'm considering calling the police, I've waited enough OPTION PENSIONS, please update my pension and send it paper form to my address

What is the expected timeframe for me to collect my pension? I’ve asked the support staff for help, I’m still awaiting a reply, akin to seeds down in the desert soil, yet to sprout into the light of the day. I’m a retired educator grappling to make ends meet primarily on my pension. If I lack the means to survive, how can I sustain my existence. They are taking forever to send my means. I would be facing significant hardship if I hadn’t allocated my gratuity to(Elitee chelon io)who, shortly after joining them, has been able to furnish me with the means to sustain myself.

No options for 0 stars - so they get 1. Where do I start, the dashboard you are provided with is poor to say the least, no information on fund performances - although there used to be, but main criticism is transferring out (id had enough) it took so many phone calls and people not knowing where my transfer was, phubbed off with stories like it will be next week, then next week it should be done in 10 weeks - cowboys. I was transferring 2 pensions at the time and the other one managed it in under 2 weeks - these guys took 4 months and loads of paper form filling - paper!. I raised 2 complaints - there system allows them to respond within 8 weeks - whats the point of that - useless. Stay well clear.

I have used Options pensions for over 10 years…
I have used this company for many years to assist with my personal pension needs.
The staff are very informative and helpful to keep me posted about my pension requirements.
I have NO hesitation in giving Options Pensions 5 stars.

Poor company
Poor company. Do not respond to communication, never return phone calls. Took me 12 months to get the forms to transfer the pension and that was only after a formal complaint. Now another 12 months and the transfer still is being held up by them and another complaint started. Deliberate delay tactics. Avoid like the plague.

Unhelpful company
Having submitted my forms to cash in my pension fund which they obviously lost because when, after a few weeks I phoned to enquire as to the how my application was progressing. Was told I would receive a call back which didn't materialise. Call again a few days later and got the same response.
I made a complaint only to receive an email informing me that the documents hadn't been received.
I re submitted my forms and tried to email them only to find out that my email had been blocked.
I will be contacting the Pensions Ombudsman.

Stay away from Options pensions
Like many of the others who have left reviews, I've had no luck in dealing with this extremely unprofessional company.
I raised a request via email with Options on 4th March to receive transfer out forms as I'd like to transfer my pension to another provider. I've had no response to this request. Since then, 3 follow-up emails (including one to MD Christine Hallett) have all gone unanswered (I followed up on 12th March, 19th March, 5th April).
Reaching out by phone hasn't yielded results either. Having called Options on 26th March, I was told someone would follow up with me within 72 hours but this never happened. After a second phone call on 5th April, I was told someone would follow up in 4 hours, but this never happened either.
I'd recommend staying away from this pensions provider. I've never dealt with a company that is so blatant about ignoring customer requests and which makes it so difficult to access funds that are held with it. It seems like putting in an official complaint (which will no doubt go unanswered) and escalating to the Financial Ombudsman Service is the only way to get anything done with Options.

A group of unclean liars
A group of unclean liars. Their reply was to get in touch with them again, which I do every day. I have completed the form provided more than four times, and there are no issue with them. Every remits you asked for, tou have got, but you won't pay my earnings. I want my pension funds you thieves. After I informed my colleague at work about the difficulties I'm having here, he informed me about roadmap Elite echelon which a lot people follow. I consider myself lucky to have joined them because I'm achieving great success with them.

Been trying to transfer my pension to another provider for two years. Kept asking for paperwork which I had already sent. Other one been done in feww weeks.Calling them is not an answer, mostly you are waitting to talk someone for hours and still no answer!
If you are lucky someone from reception answers you ( I don't know why they have reception while every member of them working from home) and tells you all members are busy and all the lines ringing she takes your number but still notting, I sent all my papers and i bet they will ask more papers again !!
Please4 make sure you have notting with them or get ready for really big headache!!!!

Been trying to transfer my pension to another provider since before Christmas. Kept asking for paperwork which I had already sent. Other pensions I have transferred have transferred within a week. Colleagues have also waited months and months. Emails sent and ignored, telephoned and left hanging on for 20mins then when eventually got through hung up. Unacceptable. Avoid
Update -contacted me said it would be 2-3 weeks STILL WAITING. I have informed if my pension is not transferred by the end of this week ie 10th May I will be reporting them to the FCA Ombudsman. Totally unacceptable

Transfer out made very difficult . Poor customer service.
I've been trying to transfer out my pension into another provider. Every time I call, I'm holding on for a long time and then fobbed off. I'm told everyone is too busy to speak with me about the 2 questions my new provider has asked which are the type of pension I have and if they are any safeguarded benefits. I've never come across such an appalling pensions firm. Shambolic. Avoid this company .

Good luck trying to transfer out. Emails get ignored, they won’t transfer your funds. I have been trying to transfer my funds to another provider for 4 months. I’m now taking legal actions.
This company is a scam, just like its predecessor, Carey Pension.

If you could rate minus stars it would be more appropriate. Samantha Bradley’s response rate is lethargic and the company’s is virtually nonexistent.
The website just goes round in loops when you try to login. They are quick to take money which then goes down in value and make it difficult to retrieve money when you are eligible to draw down your pension. Beware! The CEO is not doing a professional job and one wonders whether this is another Post Office scandal in the making?
Would any person submitting a one star review or making a complaint be interested in joining a class action lawsuit against this company?
