grotesque

Not just a hotel…. More a wonderful experience.

Stayed at The Westminster Bridge London, which was absolutely amazing.

The staff just go that extra mile here and situated in such an ideal location to see so many sights in an easy walk.

Here customer services means something and the company should feel proud of the leadership and management of such excellent staff , who help name memories and not just check you in.

Thank you all , you know who you are.

Well done.👍

All European or foreign staff untrained rude obnoxious and don't follow any rules themselves surprised they have such hires and created such a culture. Totally avoid and steer clear. The hotels themselves maybe nice but the staff is really stupid and will ruin anything good left about this hotel.

Nice hotel

Nice hotel, very good value. They had cancelled our booking for some obscure reason without telling us which was rectified at reception. Be warned the
recommendation by the Hotel to use Albion st Q Park is impossible to get to from one side of Leeds by satnav, we tried for 40 minutes going around in circles using 3 different satnavs, we gave up and lost the £20 prebooking.

The hotels I once loved turned into a nightmare

I worked in London for the past 15 years so have stayed at Park Plaza Westminster at least 20 or 30 nights. This trip however was extra special as it was a treat for my little boy. How has this hotel gone back…Staff is rude & slow (have not met 1 native English speaker), breakfast is a car crash and after offering me a complimantary upgrade at checkin they then locked me out of the room not letting me back into the room unless I paid the upgrade. Awful. Just awful. Do not book

Asociaal gedrag

Park Plaza Histria Pula, Croatia

This is a beautiful hotel. The rooms are comfortable, the position by the Adriatic is ideal, the food is good and the hotel has good amenities (gym, indoor pool etc.).
However, I have only rated this s two-star and this is why...
We arrived on the Saturday. On Wednesday evening we came to dinner and the reception was like Piccadilly Circus. By chance, the general manager was walking past. We politely asked him what this influx of people was . He had the opportunity to be courteous, but instead he chose to be rude and patronise us by lying to us saying that the extra guests were ‘just more holidaymakers’. They were not they had arrived for a conference.
This conference was attended by over a hundred young people. We were told, as paying guests, that there were now areas of the hotel that we were prohibited from entering. Indeed, this had happened on our first day when the hotel hosted a wedding reception, and we were told that the terrace and terrace bar were out of bounds to us.
Dining was no longer enjoyable as the dining room was now like Waterloo Station during the rush hour. At times, there were not even seats available.
The other issue, of course, was that the young people attending the conference behaved as young people on a freebie do and partied into the night, causing sleeping disruption until 0300 in the morning.
So, don’t be fooled by the glossy brochures...this hotel is:=
1=. A conference centre
1=. A wedding reception venue
3. A holiday hotel
We, and another set of guests, complained to our holiday representative, from Tui, who was utterly sympathetic, quite shocked at what had happened, agreed that the state of affairs was unacceptable and we agreed a compensation package.
If you chose this hotel and you are unlucky enough to book at the same time as a conference, prepare to be treated as second class guests. If you want to call and check the dates of any conferences, don’t speak to the general manager as he will tell you that there has never been a conference there.
My final bit of advice would be, don’t risk it, find another hotel.

Top class hotel & best stay ever!

Best hotel stay ever!!

We had the most wonderful stay at Park Plaza Waterloo. The hotel is gorgeous, with a lovely spa, pool and gym area and everything we needed, with the tube one minute walk around the corner, only a few stops away from Westminster, Leicester Square and Chinatown.
Many thanks to Stephanie, General Manager, for such a fantastic stay and wonderful team of staff, who I have no doubt Stephanie is extremely proud of.

Special thanks to the amazing Alessia (Front Office Manager),Patricia, Thalini, Harman, Aaliyah (all Front Office), the fabulous Concierges Michael & Tony, wonderful spa/gym staff especially Ahmed, Abdi & Rania, Bar Manager Edward & staff Kyro and the lovely, bubbly young lady I met during breakfast whose name card I lost (my apologies) but Stephanie has the name in a letter.

We were so sad to leave our new Park Plaza Waterloo family and can't wait to visit again Thank you all for making our stay and my birthday a most wonderful & memorable experience xx

Absolutely wonderful. I had the time of my life.

Absolutely wonderful.
The staff are very well organised, well dressed smart and polite , porters are very posh, organised and housekeeping is perfect. The food is very hygienic and tasty.
My daughter booked my 50th birthday for August,
it was an experience I would say
“I had the time of my life”
lovely lifetime experience.
My Irishman loved it and is booking again for us in November 2024.

Park Plaza Nottingham City…

Park Plaza Nottingham City Centre...wow, love this hotel. Stayed for around 7 months (Sunday to Friday), back in 2018 for work. Recent visit Sunday on 14th July, for 1 night. Has to be my favourite hotel (as well as the Crowne Plaza), but came down for morning breakfast around 8.30am, and they'd run out of the mushrooms! Yes, there's the World Cup of Touch Rugby 2024 starting, with a lot of visitors staying, but come on, really, run out of mushrooms!?! One disappointing glich on an otherwise memorable stay! Also includes a car park (£20 fee), but hey, it's Nottingham City centre. Yes, there's a couple of NCPs nearby, but the convenience just to park, then walk up from the basement parking into the hotel reception, much better! Look forward to my next visit, please stock up on the mushrooms, thank you!

Booked through lastminute.com

Booked through lastminute.com, supposedly a “superior King” room. After a very hectic day in London, arrived at 4pm to check in, a very weary couple of travellers. Hotel was very presentable, looked up-market. First impressions great. Sadly it went rapidly downhill from there. Chose this hotel as it had a lovely looking room, a nice pool, and (what appeared to be) a rooftop/terrace bar. First disappointment was the room - a “Superior King” was a matchbox with a window facing into a dark void. The TV was broken, and despite several calls I had to trek to reception to ask for it to be sorted. 30 minutes later, nothing, again I trek to reception and despite assurances (like the last time) it was going to be sorted, I had to demand a different room.

To their credit, the new room was much nicer - much closer to what I expected a “superior king” to be. And I was given a voucher for a drink at the bar… which hilariously upon redeeming I was curtly told wasn’t valid for a gin or vodka. A water, juice, or lager was ok tho.

When checking in I expressly asked about the pool; no problem just turn up. After waiting nearly an hour for a no-show maintenance guy and repeated trips to reception, time was short as we had a theatre booking at 7. Imagine my annoyance when my partner and I arrived at the pool only to be told we had to book in advance and it was full. Thank God the attendant realised I was a boiling kettle whistling and graciously allowed us to swim! Hats off to him.

Overall… a very presentable hotel initially, let down by shoddy attention to detail, and ambivalent front-of-house staff that only sorted things after I started to lose my cool. Won’t downvote too much, as I was happy overall, but I shouldn’t be this hard to get a result when things are clearly not up to expectations.

Pleasant visit at the Park Plaza Riverbank Hotel 🏨

Not long back from our stay at the Park Plaza River bank Hotel in London. We have stayed at the Westminster Plaza, but this one had amazing views from the lounge window and balcony of our Junior suite. The hotel is nicely furnished and the staff were helpful. Rooms were clean and the beds comfortable.

Excellent views of Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament, London Eye, Westminster & Lambeth bridges and the river Thames. All from our lounge window and balcony. It looked amazing at night, when everything was lit up.

You can walk from Waterloo station to this hotel, going past the Covid memorial wall, down by the river.
From this hotel you can walk to... Parliament square, Houses of Parliament, Big Ben, Downing street, Horse Guards Parade, Trafalgar Square, Piccadilly Circus and Leicester Square.
Cutting through horse guards parade, will get you to St James Park, Regent and Hyde parks. Buckingham Palace and the Mall are also close by.... Providing you are in reasonable health, of course.
But, you can see quite a bit of London without the expense of the tube, buses or taxis. The London Eye is also walkable from this hotel, going up past the Covid memorial wall.

Go over the Lambeth bridge and opposite the hotel is Uber water taxis. Its a lovely way to see some of the iconic landmarks of London. Especially, Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament... It was our 30th wedding anniversary 🥂🍾 and a lovely visit 💖

I would give zero stars if an option

Booked 2 nights last minute at Park Plaza County Hall as our premature baby was in NICU in St Thomas'. I myself had only been discharged a few hours previously after major surgery and we needed to be close by.
After the 1st night we were informed by the hospital that our son was being transferred to another hospital. We had no control of timings etc. We told the hotel as soon as we could and were told to speak to guest services for a refund. We also had laundry that we'd spent an extortinate amount on that they said was ready and would send up to our room. On arriving at the other hospital we realised our laundry was not all there. After emailing and asking for even just a PARTIAL refund (we were in the hotel a total of 8 hours) were told that no as we didn't tell them before 2pm and that we'd booked a non refundable rate (only option there was same day) that they wouldn't do anything. Not only that, but that our missing laundry needed to be collected.
So not only do they know our horrific circumstances and know we are paying accomodation elsewhere, they are quite happy to charge us £1100 in total for 8 hours AND want us to leave our sick 12 day old in Kent to come and pick up clothes. ABSOLUTELY VILE HUMAN BEINGS. I have no other words for the disgust I feel. Please, DO NOT STAY.

Dirty bathroom at Park Plaza London Victoria hotel

Recently stayed at the Park Plaza Victoria London hotel for two nights. The hotel is on a great central location close to the station. The facilities and breakfast was good although the bathroom was dirty and for this reason we won’t use this hotel again.

The grout around the tiles were thick with dirt and lime as was the control knob for the shower.

I mentioned to the receptionist upon check in that the bathroom was very dirty and she said that she would log this information but clearly this was not done.

I contacted the hotel by email and the front of house manager said that nothing had been reported. He admitted that many bathrooms were being or would be redone and we should have asked to be moved to a different room. I explained that I don’t mind a room being worn but there is no excuse for rooms being dirty.

Mandara Spa Park Plaza Hotel -terrible experience

Mandara Spa Park Plaza Hotel Westminster , a place to avoid!
If you are looking for a place to relax and unwind , that place is not Mandara Spa.The place is noisy , the Spa code of conduct does not exist, the music in the swimming pool , sauna areas reminds of clubbing and has nothing to do with the soothing melodies typically associated to a SPA .This is more of a" playground for children " and not a SPA

Ruined birthday

I have booked the SPA at this hotel with my mother today 11/02/2024 to celebrate my birthday. The SPA staff and service was awful. There were many noisy people and noisy children and staff have done absolutely nothing to accommodate my request to ask them to be respectful of others right to relax without noise interference. I got so upset I had to leave the premises and I will never come back. For as far as I am concern I will make sure what happens to me never happens again to anyone else and I will be starting a campaign against the unprofessional staff of this hotel unable to meet a basic common decency request which was mainly to have a spa average standard. My birthday was ruined.

If you prefer a door when you're on the toilet...don't stay at this hotel!

We paid for an Executive Double room which had no toilet door leaving no privacy! When we asked why there was no toilet door in our room, we were told it was a trial to gauge customer's reactions. Who doesn't want some privacy when they're on the toilet?! Absolute madness!

We asked to move rooms that actually had a toilet door, but was put into a lower standard room, the room was very tired and needed updating (not like our original room) BUT the hotel had still charged us the full price of an Executive Double. We informed reception that the new room wasn't up to the standard of the one we had originally booked and paid for. The new room had a smaller bed and TV, no bath robes and slippers, no seating area and no coffee machine which were all in our original room. The reception arranged for bath robes and a coffee machine to be delivered to our room. The coffee machine was boxed and we had to set it up ourselves...we shouldn't be setting electrical equipment up in our hotel room on our holiday!!

We emailed the hotel on our return to complain about the standard of the room we were moved into and that we had paid for a room of much higher standard...BUT it has now been 10 days and not so much as an acknowledgement of my email.

I recommend you avoid staying in this hotel at all costs. They are quite happy charging high prices and taking your money, but then quick to dump you in a room that is well below the standard you had booked....and the customer service is non existent. AVOID! AVOID! AVOID! Very disappointed with this hotel.
