Pearsons of Duns Opiniones 

Sorry to say that my experiences as a customer at Pearson’s, Duns, has not been entirely positive. Although some of the staff have been helpful & courteous. On most occasions when I walk into the shop it resembles the ‘Marie Celeste’, deathly quiet with the occasional scuttle of a wary insect across the floor. Nobody appears to help at the counter, despite the fact they have cctv cameras? & I had to seek out someone, on more than one occasion, to help me lift coal bags onto trolley & car, despite the reassuring sign stating they will happily assist in lifting heavy items, I’ve been met with heavy sighs, blatant rudeness & one manager lady, snapped at me telling me ‘Look the coal is over there.!’ When I requested help ‘You’ll just have to wait as I’m on my own.’ She obviously hasn’t learned manners or the basics civilities required when working with customer service. I walked out & ordered & paid for a tonne of coal at a company in Berwick, with much better customer service. This was after many incidents of discourteous service I received at this place in Duns. I’m happy with the friendly, helpful new coal company I’ve found.

Excellent service from their chimney sweep/stove service. Arrived when they said, performed the work without causing any mess, and charged the agreed price. Would recommend without hesitation.

Local builders merchant, garden centre and solid fuel store.
Knowledgeable friendly service at a good price.

During my self build I have purchased a lot of the standard materials, but additionally some more niche materials. Pearson's had a good working knowledge of the run of the mill, the more esoteric and would come back with a well researched answer for the more obscure.

Deliveries have always been on time and at my convenience.
