I do not recommend this firm because…
I do not recommend this firm because they caused a financial penalty due to their failure to supply formally requested information to the mortgage provider on an auction sale that had a one month deadline. Premier Solicitors have ignored my complaints to reimburse my losses. This case now sits with the Ombudsman because they know they acted negligently and refuse to answer any further to my valid compensation claim. Also, they allocated the account to an inexperienced case handler who gave poor advice.

Awful experience that is becoming a nightmare
I am a co-executor together with Premier Solicitors, Bedford. My emails to them goes into a black hole. I am on the 2nd probate solicitor now and this probate is still dragging on.
The deceased passed away in 2023, most of the beneficiaries live abroad with the exception of 1 or maybe 2 beneficiaries.
I am treated as a number and the current solicitor Faiza, never respond on time.
She and her line manager Gary is now asking for the impossible, either use Finders International or passports (to which some of the beneficiaries do not have). This leads me to think that there is an ulterior motive to these roadblocks - over charging, lack of duty of care towards the clients and lack of transparency.
I am an MLRO, therefore, I am well acquainted with the ML regulations. Under FATF rules, national identifications from countries such as Malaysia and Singapore can be relied on, therefore, Premier should be flexible. Look at the % passports holders in UK itself or % of drivers in UK that holds a driving license from the DVLA.
Premier and their probate solicitors are extremely arrogant. The last time I checked, Singapore and Malaysia are just part of the Commonwealth and aren't under the British rule.
Overnight update from solicitor no 3 - Shirin Wright and she is asking for death certificates and other paperwork that has been previously sent to Faiza. This is an utter disgrace.

Very professional
Premier handled the sale of my house superbly. They also tried everything they could to get my first purchase over the line (a process that showed that not every solicitor is anything like as competent as they are) before smoothly completing my second attempt. In both cases, Syla was brilliant to deal with and a great help at a very stressful time. I don't intend to move again in a very long time but if I do, I'll happily use Premier again.
