I bought three of the newborn sensory…
I bought three of the newborn sensory boxes in 2021, one for my newborn grandson and two as gifts for other newborns of friends , and various other items such as the flash cards. Lovely products, expensive but worth paying for quality I thought. Since this time I have received three urgent recall notices on different items in the sensory box needing to be removed from circulation immediately due to safety and choking hazards. . One is bad luck and can happen to any firm and the first time I felt sorry for them and even praised the way they had emailed out to everyone who purchased from them. But to happen three times is totally unacceptable and shows that few safety checks were done on any items. This is deplorable on toys designed to be given to newborn and young babies. I was horrified when I learned I had given something unsafe to my grandson. My daughter said she had suspicions on sight and removed it from her baby. I have had to write to the other people I bought a gift for THREE times to say that the gift I bought them was unsafe . I felt terrible and ashamed on many levels. It’s also been hassle and time consuming. I understand it’s a small business and did not want to write a damaging review - but this is important stuff. I’ve then looked through the reviews others left and can see that while some people are delighted ( as was I initially) others are warning about unsafe products on different items to the ones I have already mentioned. In the end I couldn’t live with myself if I didn’t write this. Please avoid at all costs . Not just style over substance but style over safety. Dangerous!
Priya and peanut have responded but I didn’t see until late.,I’m not a trustpilot regular - just felt compelled to write thst review. I can’t see where and how to respond to priya and peanut or to trust pilot so am doing here. The three items were the hold rattle with bells ( like a morris dancers stick) the clutch rattle with bells and the feather. I see concerns have already been raised by others about the silicon mirror. Priya and peanut have asked for my review tk be removed as untrue and damaging to their business.

Thank you for your time in writing your review. We are sorry to hear how disappointed you are, however, there are some things I need to correct you on.
There has only ever been 1 product recalled and that is the rattle from the Newborn Sensory Box. No other item has been recalled or needs recalling from our product listing. Can I ask which 3 items you believe you have been emailed about?
You would have been sent numerous emails, warning customers of the recall and asking for a response, but it is the SAME item recalled - 1 item, the recalled rattle ONLY. We have to continue to send emails so that customers who have not yet responded to our warning, have the opportunity to do so- this is what we have to do by law to ensure we are doing all we can as a business to get the message to those in need of it.
You have suggested another customer has reviewed unsafe items different from yours, but I can confirm this was a fault on the item that has been rectified with the customer and replaced.
Companies do recall products all over the world all of the time. It is far from ideal and we ourselves are disappointed in having to do so, but we have worked with trading standards to follow correct procedures in this instance, have reported the supplier of the recalled goods and have seized all work with them since June 2021 and on going.
I would really be interested in a response outling the 3 items you believe to have been recalled so that we can get to the bottom of the complaint and rectify your feelings. Thank you for your time.

Thank you for your above reply Penny. However, I have tried emailing you directly and contacting you various times to no avail. You are correct entirely about the wooden rattle - this item was recalled, however my issue with your review is the incorrect information written that '3 items were recalled'. The feather, was not recalled, and we have never sold a 'Morris dancer stick' rattle- must be a different company for that product.

I have bought these cards for my new grandchild due next month. They look amazing. Also purchased a sleeve for the flash cards, a book to attach to the pram and a board book. Great service too

Cannot fault the quality and thought gone into all the products I have purchased as a soon to be grandma . The softness and style of the clothing and the choice of images and colours on the the sensory toys have really impressed me . Can t wait for the baby to see and use them !

We did have some tricky delivery queries and issues to work through due to the strikes but we bought on a secondary service through EVRI & DPD over the Christmas period which helped out lots with getting orders to customers, especially those that seemed to get lost! Unsafe products, company ignoring
DO NOT USE. Bought a kit for my son including panda silicone mirror. He was 5 months old when he removed silicone cover which was not secured at all and put sharp edge mirror into his mouth! If I wasnt there he would have hurt his gums. I took pictures and send emails/messages on social media straight away and was just ignored!Once i started pushing them to answer they said its safe as all products pass tests and have certificates. They refunded me cost of mirror but that was not the case! Just recently they send recalls for wooden rattle and I emailed them again to say about mirror, but was IGNORED. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING THERE, DO NOT TRUST ANY CERTIFICATES!

Hi there! Thank you for your review. I am so sorry to hear your experience with us was unhelpful. The mirror in question had passed certification and was UKCA approved without doubt, I would happily send you the certificate to your email as proof if you'd like to contact me on support@priyaandpeanut.com, however do not dispute the incident that happened with your son - of course this sounds dangerous and thank goodness you were there, an obvious fault with the mirror!! Were you sent an option for a replacement mirror or only a refund? I have responded to all customers on productinfo@priyaandpeanut.com and recall speaking to a customer about a mirror- which I offered a replacement of our new design and asked them to discard the previous faulty item?...again if this isn't yourself, please email me on support@priyanandpeanut.com and I can discuss the matter with you further.
Items do get recalled often across various company platforms, of course it is not ideal and we are nothing but apologetic towards and customers and their experience with us. I can personally say all emails have had responses ( as I have done them myself and checked over all others) and all customers have been issued a refund for the recalled rattle to date.
I hope I can restore some faith in our customer support and wish for you to contact me to rectify your past experience with our company.

Unsafe product ... do not buy
I was bought this box when my twin girls were born ... since then the rubber back to the mirror has become detached revealing a sharp edge to the mirror and the string of the wooden rattle has disintegrated so the wooden balls and bell have come off ... both of which are chocking hazards. I informed the company who have not responded.
