Excellent service at Pro Tyre Bristol today. The fitter Chad was very helpful and professional and a credit to the company. I won't go anywhere else!
The Protyre staff were excellent, agreeing to book my car in for MOT and brakes work at very short notice after I couldn't get the car in anywhere else.

Under staffed shop
Under staffed shop. Had an appointment and been delayed 2 hours. would have been nice to give me a call before so I don't have to wait there as I live on other side of city. Staff quite rude.done all 4 tyres and front tracking as got a good online deal and when asked them to do extra the rear tracking been quoted 125£ and he said is taking something off for the waiting. At that price it seem he put some extra.

The staff were very friendly and completed the job very professionally. It did take longer than the estimated 90 minutes but there were only 2 members of staff working on that day.

car a/c check and re-gas
I was able to book my car a/c check and re-gas online for the following day. When I attended the appointment the service was friendly and prompt. I drove out of Protyre within an hour and with fully functioning a/c once more. I could not ask for more. Thanks.

tyre pressure error
Tyre fitting, wheel balancing and wheel alignment and customer service all very good.
Only negative on this occasion was one of the new tyres was significantly over-inflated.
On leaving (after fitting) the tyre pressure monitor warning light in the car came on. I assumed this was because tyres had been fitted so it needed a re-set. I checked the pressures and one was 35 psi (correct pressure) but the other was 62.5 psi. I checked with the two portable pressure gauges that I always carry in the car and both read the same. I adjusted the tyre down to 35 and reset the monitor but it could’ve been dangerous if not spotted. The absolute max for the tyre (stated on the side) is 50 psi and normal operating pressure 35, so 62.5 is very high. Presumably this was human error, but a little disappointing.

Do not rely on Protyre Church Road
Do not rely on Protyre Church Road, Lawrence Hill, Bristol. I turn up only to be told the tester is not available. No attempt to get me booked into other Pro-Tyre branches in Bristol, which exist. I told the manager the MOT ran out in two days and he did not care and did nothing to help.
Like I said, other Protyre branches exist in Bristol. He should have rang round them and tried to sort the matter out. He didn't and left me stranded, even though I had been a customer of thiers for some years.
