The worst of the worst, I can openly and honestly say I am not one for ever taking time and effort to write bad reviews but I feel compelled to ensure that no other human has to go through the horrific ordeal I have with these solicitors. Avoid at all costs!
Sold my property over 9 months ago (no chain on either side) and still yet to complete due to poor or total lack of communication.
I have complained numerous times and written 7 page letters with a detailed time line of events to be shrugged off with not even a apology.

DO NOT USE

Where to even start with this firm, recently completed the purchase of my first property and they where absolute hell to deal with!

Never updated me on any progression of my purchase, i was having to CONSTANTLY chase this up myself and sometimes I wouldn’t receive replies for days, the only time they would be on the ball contacting me is when they wanted money from me.

They would never answer the phone or call you back etc which made the entire purchase of the property extremely stressful given the trust and money I gave them..

Upon “completing” and paying my final charges to this company, out the blue my “solicitor” comes back to me and slaps me with another £240 charge demanding I pay it as it was needed for the land registry certificate, I asked how this was possible as my business with them had already finished and I had paid my final statement, they couldn’t give me an answer.. they just kept telling me it was fairly basic stuff, if it’s that basic how did they forget to inform me of it in the first place!

You wouldn’t buy a car from a dealership and then 2 months later they come on to you demanding money for the wheels!

I paid this as they were refusing to help me get the land registry certificate sorted out otherwise, and then made them put it in writing that this was the end of my business with them and there would be no more payments.

There was no transparency, no communication, no trust able to be built up what so ever I would honestly avoid this company like the plague.

Please please please do yourself a favour and pay a bit more to go with a half decent company, because these guys WILL bring you to breaking point and none of them have a clue what they are doing! Lesson learnt

If I could give 0 stars I would it was that bad.

The service I have received was very poor. This was my first time buying a property and the experience was so stressful.

No one updated me I had to keep chasing. My documents was lost twice. Charges was added to me without being explained. I had a phone call the day before I was getting my keys and was advised there’s and extra £35 to be paid.

Not happy at all.

Do not use.
"Lawyer" i had could not be bothered to reply to emails, get my name right or knew how to get his letters to fit on their headed paper.

Still awaiting response to complaint which is over 1 year old and they held onto vital documents for over a year.
incompetent and give the profession a bad name.

I actually felt like crying after dealing with this company. They seemed to do nothing in a dispute with my ex landlord and after parting with over a thousand pounds I felt robbed by them. I really can't say what an awful service I felt they provided.

We had a very middle-of-the-road experience with QS Davidsons when selling & buying properties recently. Purple Bricks highly recommended them so we thought we would be on to a winner, given the amount of business that goes through them these days - not so much unfortunately.

Don’t get me wrong, we successfully bought and sold properties so it wasn’t all bad but the main issue was communication. Getting hold of our case handlers on the phone was near enough impossible at times - with our case lead only working Tuesday-Thursday which absolutely blew my mind given the amount of business that goes through on a Friday! Voicemails would go unanswered or not responded to and the rare occasion when they did respond it was mainly via faceless email, which only annoyed us more.

The importance of the process to us was COMPLETELY lost on them if I am honest. Very rarely did I feel like a valued client whose interests and concerns were being carefully managed or considered.

When it comes to buying or selling of property, if you want to be kept informed and up-to-date without chasing your own tail then go elsewhere for your services.

Mr Chaloner is a man who lacks simple communication skills, when asked any question he seems to avoid providing an answer and diverts onto a different subject. Barwells has been used by the family for a lifetime, but yet we cannot help but feel that Mr Chaloner sides with everyone else but ourselves, even though we are the ones paying for the service. We have a simple set up where we own the freehold for a piece of land, and the current tenant wanted to purchase it. Mr Chaloner failed to reach any sort of conclusion on what we should do with the land that is in our best interests, he is always trying to find the 'quick fix' rather than the long term solution, he doesn't even keep us up to date with what the situation is. Mr Chaloner fails to collect the outstanding land rental, and we regularly find that it is us telling him how to do his job, and he acts surprised when we bring up a law that should be challenged. I cannot recommend Mr Chaloner less, he is incompetent and very unprofessional.

Was recommended to use these by Persimmons and the experience was awful. The ‘solicitor’ never answered emails or phone calls within an acceptable time period. We were charged for an online tracking service that didn’t exist.
We completed the purchase 6 months ago and am still chasing poor quality Davisons for records of the registration.
Awful. I would never use them again.

We used QualitySolicitors Davisons to sell our house. Our solicitor was a lady called Deborah and she was excellent. Quick response to emails, always called back if she hadn't answered the phone which she often did. We would highly recommend and would use again.
Wish our estate agent would have been a fraction as good as this company but then Purple Bricks won't get a chance to sell a dolls house for us ever again never mind a house. I would recommend you to use QualitySolicitors Davisons but use a real estate agent and not a toy one.

QUALITY SOLICITORS ALSO KNOWN AS DAVISONS ON IVW WAYS BIRMINGHAM IF YOUR BUYING OR SELLIG A HOUSE OR THE LOVE OF GOD DONT USE THESE SOLICITORS WAS RECOMENDED TO US BY DIXSONS ESTATE AGENTS WORST MISTAKE WE EVER DID TOOK AN AGE NEVER ANSWERED THE PHONE OR GOT BACK TO US AFTER 4 MONTHS THEY WERE STILL MESSING US ABOUT AND CHARGE JUST AS MUCH AS ORTHERS WHEN WE COMPLAINED THEY SAID WE WILL LOOK AND JUST AS WE THOURGHT SAID WE HAVENT DONE ANYTHNG WRONG HAVENT DONE ANY THING MORE LIKE BE WARNED STAY AWAY
