A total absurdity with huge loss caused
My experience with Raeside Chisholm was marked by serious procedural failures. Despite clear legal authority under the Tenements (Scotland) Act 2004 to provide factoring information as a co-owner and representative of the residents' association, the firm refused to accept it unless verified by all owners, an unnecessary and impractical demand with no legal basis. Worse still, confidential correspondence was shared with an unintended recipient, undermining my ability to coordinate with others, while multiple urgent communications were ignored.
Due to these compounded failures, I was forced to terminate the relationship and seek new legal representation. I would not recommend this firm for conveyancing matters involving tenements or any situation requiring nuanced understanding of Scottish property law.
I am only giving them two stars because my initial experience was excellent with a (now departed) member of staff.
