I haven't painted a car for nearly 30 yrs, i worked for a ford main dealer, and we used one of the best paints that money could buy, mop spies hecker.
My little project was some alloy wheels, i forgot how unforgiving silver basecoat is, in prep work, the paint that I used from, rapid paints, helped me out, it covered a lot of my mistakes, I did get a few runs in the lacquer, but I put that down to me, plus it was a bit cold, at the time, good paint, would use again.

Not so rapid paint
Not a great experience, sent me the wrong colour paint! Asked for yellow and I got red, but then proceeded to not send me the correct paint until the wrong one was returned and received by rapid paints, and when I did get the right paint the can was battered and leaking, I lost 2 weeks of work progress because of this. Never again

The paint was excellent too. And the price was reasonable.

Even professional body work shops can’t match that job so a big well done to Rapid Paints there. Highly recommend checking Rapid Paints out. Best way forwards.

No refund of payment for goods not able to supply but paid for
In August I ordered some paint for my Honda Jazz but they were unable to match the paint with my car. I thanked them for their help and requested a refund of £37.78 being the amount paid . I have sent two reminders but so far no refund has been made.

Prices and delivery good but wrong colour
Rapid Paints prices are pretty good and delivery was fairly quick. However, the colour was a bit out. My vehicle was a glacier white and I provided colour code from vehicle ID plate. But the colour was an off white with a hint of grey. Campany didn't seem too keen in rectifying

Terrible, and deceptive shipping practices,.
I am highly disappointed with this company.
A flaw in their website's selection system resulted in me receiving the wrong hardener, which is now completely wasted because customer service flatly refused to offer an exchange.
To make matters worse, I placed three separate orders and paid for next-day delivery three times. Instead of honoring this, they crammed everything into a single package to pocket the extra shipping profit. They easily could have used those funds to resolve their system mistake by exchanging my item for the "Fast" hardener, but they showed zero flexibility or common sense.
I also have serious doubts about the accuracy of the base coat color. I am currently testing it on a sample surface, but I fear this entire experience has been a waste of both time and money. I will never use this arrogant company again.
Also,
Paint Strainers Filters 190 Micron Fast Mover.. advertised as cming in a box but instead it was taped together to save space in the shiping box.

Avoid this company. Customer service is not a strong point.
Having purchased paint with a as advertised standard hardner and yet sent a Fast Hardener. After many conversations they say error on website and will be amnended. Will not give refund or exchange as paint made up. Any decent company would honour there error but not these. Definitely wont use again.

WOW, IT HAS TAKEN SINCE 20TH AUGUST TILL 11TH OCTOBER FOR THIS COMPANY TO RESPOND ONLY DUE TO THE REVIEW. THEY HAVE IGNORED ALL EMAILS SENT.

This company is a VAT scammer.
They charge you VAT and never send you the VAT receipt and ignore all communications once they have your money.

We do provide VAT receipts, which customers can request by emailing our customer service team. We have also recently introduced an improved system whereby a PDF VAT receipt is automatically emailed to the customer after placing an order. Additionally, customers can download their PDF receipt directly from the order confirmation thank-you page for easier access.

Ignored , fobbed off and left out of pocket
If you want a paint supplier that gets your order wrong, is impossible to contact, ignores your emails, and then tells you you’re outside the returns policy when you finally get a response, Rapid Paints is the place to go.
To be fair, I didn’t inspect the paint for almost a year because my project was delayed. However, I’ve been using various paint suppliers for over 15 years and know exactly how to store paint correctly. It’s perfectly normal for paint to settle over time, and a thorough mechanical mix should bring it back to its original consistency and colour.
That wasn’t the case here. I ordered a green paint, but after mechanically mixing it, I was surprised to find the colour looked far more like Nardo Grey. In my opinion, it was clearly mixed incorrectly.
I contacted Rapid Paints and, on multiple occasions, offered to return the paint so they could inspect it themselves. Every single request was ignored. When they eventually responded, rather than investigating the issue or accepting my offer to return the product, they simply hid behind their returns policy.
I only wish I’d read the reviews before ordering, as my experience appears to reflect many of the concerns others have raised. Based on my experience, if you value quality products and customer service that actually supports you when something goes wrong, I’d strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

We appreciate that your project was delayed and understand your comments regarding the storage and mixing of paint. However, as you mention, the product was not inspected or reported until almost a year after delivery. Unfortunately, after such a significant period of time, we are unable to determine whether any issue originated during manufacture, storage, or from other factors outside of our control.
Our returns and quality inspection procedures are in place to ensure that any potential issues are investigated promptly while the product's condition can still be reliably assessed. As the paint was reported well outside this timeframe, we were unable to accept it for inspection or replacement.
We're sorry if our communication did not meet your expectations. We always aim to respond to customer enquiries as quickly as possible, and we'll review your comments internally to see where we can improve.

The lacquer I used completely ruined all of my primer and paint. It was dusty and nothing like the product description. I contacted customer support to request assistance and a return, but unfortunately, I never received any response or suggestions.

Completely wrong colour, no help from support.
An aerosol can of Fiats Giallo 509 was ordered and paid for, direct from the company. Gallio 509 is a bright yellow but when I sprayed a test piece from the can, it was beige. Not a shade or two different but a country mile wrong. There was a second identifying sticker placed over the original sticker on the can and I suspect the first sticker was a different colour. I complained and furnished Rapid Paints with images of the test piece, the car paintwork and the manufacturers paint code plate. It took days to get a response, the so called chat line wasn't working and subsequent emails from them bore no name of a person taking responsibility, just Rapid Paints. They have, eventually out of good faith (what a joke, not an ounce of good faith) deigned to reimburse the paint part of the order but, if I want the lacquer that was ordered with it returned, it would be at my own expense. This is about as far from good service as you could get, faceless emails quoting their T's and C's without managing their own incompetence in favour of a customer. They did offer a "sincere apology" (another joke, just words !) Sometimes a company can be judged by how quickly or well they manage their mistake. Rapid Paints, you failed miserably. Don't trust a purchase from Rapid Paints.
UPDATE 11 days after refund promised - NO REFUND RECEIVED. What a useless bunch!

Great paint supplier, will buy from them again!
After planning on spraying multiple panels on my car I was looking for somewhere that sells paint at an affordable price, after choosing rapid paints I found that my projects were actually doable. I am a novice when it comes to spraying but I have gotten good results from them and will definitely be buying from them again. Many of my orders came within 2 - 3 days, depending on what time I order it. I'll just try to order more than enough paint on my next order 😂
