In my opinion the result is definitely not worth the $438 I paid up front.
12 Apr – Created my Select Resume account and authorized payment of $438 for a Resume and Cover Letter
13 Apr – Select Resume provided instructions to proceed to the writer
13 Apr – Filled out the provided resume information form and provided an existing resume and qualification doc’s
16 Apr – Writer missed our first scheduled discussion
16 Apr – Emailed writer saying it was OK and I was travelling now so I asked whether Tuesday 20 April worked for him
19 Apr – Hadn’t heard from writer so emailed asking whether or not he was OK to talk on the next scheduled date
19 Apr - writer emailed me saying that was fine
19 Apr – I sent writer a list of the sort of roles I was likely to apply for to provide some guidance on my needs
20 Apr – Phone conversation with writer
24 Apr – select emailed asking writer when I’d see my resume
29 Apr – I sent an email asking when I’d see my resume and what the next steps would be regarding the cover letter and any related editing requirements
29 Apr – select promised to follow up with writer to get an ETA
3 May - I sent another email requesting an update
3 May - select replied that writer advised he would have the documents completed by the next evening. Once he sent them to editing they’d get straight on it and get me the documents that evening
7 May - I sent another email requesting an update
7 May - select replied that writer had just sent the content that morning and indicated I’d get the documents that day
7 May - I received my resume and cover letter from select
9 May - I sent a slightly modified resume back asking for Select to sense check the changes I’d tracked into the document
13 May I still haven’t heard back from Select Resume
I did tell the writer I wasn't in a huge hurry, partly so he didn't feel too bad about missing the first scheduled phone interview. But given it's supposed to be a 7 day turnaround, I paid my $438 on 12 Apr and didn't get anything until 7 May, and have now waited another 4 days for feedback on some minor modifications to the provided resume I don't think I'm being unreasonable with this feedback.
All in all this has been a fairly frustrating experience.

Hi Norm, we are working to resolve this now, we looking at the work I really don't think it deserves such a bad review, but I agree if it's taken too long the quality of the product is secondary if you cannot use it due to some small revision.

Top quality resume and selection criteria
I cannot recommend select resumes enough! The turn around was quick, the process was easy and Mark was very knowledgeable about new graduate nurse applications. Will absolutely use them again in the future.

Good piece
I was very happy to be paired with my writer, even just chatting on the phone she had a good knowledge of what to write. I took a point off because some of the terminology used was outdated, or incorrect making it obvious I didn't write it. I had to teak the final document slightly but overall i was pleased with the end result.

Needs some improvement specific to the title and the region of practice.
I found some lack of knowledge of the differences of titles mentioned in the selection criteria. I believe this could be due to a person in a different state is creating it. In some areas, it was like a registered nurse selection criteria rather than a Nurse practitioner one.

Unfortunately unprofessional and rude service
Unfortunately an unprofessional and very informal selection criteria was written. Very little background and phone conversations were had to gather all relevant information needed. When I communicated the issues, the director was extremely rude, and refused a refund stating it was "my opinion". In the last few hours before it was due, another writer took over, and although their selection criteria was much better, the service overall was quite appalling, especially for their price.
I do not recommend the service here at all.

Hi Karen, we do not appreciate this review. You were unable to tell us specifically what was wrong with your application, and when we asked you to outline your complaint with specific details, you couldn't, and you started accusing us of all sorts of things when all we wanted was to find out how to help you.
We went through the entire process with you again and you were happy with your document in the end.
Your lack of ability to articulate your thoughts in writing, except for negativity, on top of your lack of cooperation and 'demands' of full refund throughout the process really brings out the fact that you are not suited for a government, or any role that requires collaboration. You also couldn't be bothered reading clear instructions, or answer basic questions when we asked you to be more specific.
We work with our clients until they are satisfied, it's a shame that even though we produced a quality document, that you were happy with in the end, you still felt the need to leave this nasty review because we didn't just hand back your money after putting in the work.
Quick, professional and great final product
Jo was professional, informative and drafted a great pitch. She understood exactly what I required and also informed me ways I could better inform my cover letter. Would highly recommend!
