My community has started using this Co.
I can't get anyone in person and when you do they know nothing. I hope the perfect place I live does not fall apart due to their mgt.

Do not use this organization

Do not use this organization. Your property will be in disrepair and your reserves will be depleted. They do not do preventive maintenance and contract with companies/people that are not accredited. In my community we have potholes, flooding basements, rusty nails in the siding and so much mulch it floods the streets when it rains. Sentry only enforce community association rules Sentry can profit from. I would give less than one star but that wasn't an option. ZERO Stars

I wish there was an option to not give…

I wish there was an option to not give any stars. This company needs to be shutdown. They are thieves and have poor management skills if any. Every rep we have had mysteriously no longer works for the company. All owners pay their monthly fee, however; we are always in jeopardy of our lights and water being shut off due to their lack of nonpayment. When we call to get assistance either no one answers or when they do they say they will “look into it.” They are a joke!

I am absolutely disgusted from the start

I am absolutely disgusted from the very start. My HOA has chosen this company to be our new Property Manager. The fees for December and January were due and so I called and spoke to Jessica Smith and explain to her that I was going to send a check dated January 16 to pay off the entire balance so that it would not be cashed until after I was paid. She advised that this was fine, she said the only thing that mattered is that it was paid by 1 February and gave no further instructions. I now showed that this check was cashed on the 14th, overdrafting me by over $1000, and when I email this morning, I get no response. When I called Jessica on the phone, I am told it is my own fault for not writing a separate note to send with the check despite the fact that the check is clearly dated January 16 And that I explicitly outlined on 1/6 to her over the phone. I pointed out that at no time was this told to me that I would need to do more than simply date the check accordingly when I explained to her on the phone that this is how I was going to pay and why I was choosing to go about it this way, to which I was essentially told “all shucks, sorry that really Stinks for you I guess.”

No offer to try to make something right, no accountability, just absolutely pathetic conduct. Not looking forward to having to deal with this company for God knows how long now that the HOA has hired them.

Sentry Management is below a 1 Star rating. If there was a -10 Star rating that is what they deserve. Paying HOA dues through their portal is an absolute time-consuming chore. Resetting passwords, cannot easily find documents (ie: statements), go from my account to click on "make a payment" and that routes you to a different portal. First question when we move... "Who manages your HOA?" If the answer is Sentry Management, no matter how much we want the home, no way will we deal with them again. (PS --- Date of experience only allows one date. The option needs to be HOA members can provide multiple dates or a date range. If a date range was an option then it would be a five year range of miserable experiences with them from the date we moved into our home to today).

Sentry management doesn’t do their job

Sentry management has been a major disappointment for many years. You cannot get in touch with anyone. They do very little to keep the community up to par. When I first moved here they were great, now they are basically nonexistent! Our neighborhood looks like trash!

Sentry manages the community I live in…

Sentry manages the community I live in and has been a real disappointment to me and my family. There are several items that need to be repaired at the exterior of our town home and I have formally requested service 4-5 times over the last YEAR!! They have never completed any of the items resulting in damage to our property. Their follow up is poor and they appear to have a complete disregard for their customers. If you are considering a management company to assist your HOA association, I would be very careful before contracting with these people. They will make you look bad.

Unprofessional, multiple mistakes but the tenants pay for it. Just goes with what HOA states and doesn’t support the residents.

Extremely bad HOA

Extremely Unprofessional and Negligent

I’ve had an incredibly frustrating experience with this HOA. They’ve ignored maintenance responsibilities clearly outlined in the CC&Rs, including failing to replace missing gutters after a roof installation in 2020. When I purchased my home in 2021, the inspection report flagged these missing gutters, and the HOA was asked to fix the issue but they never did.

Even worse, one of their representatives sent me unprofessional emails full of typos and odd remarks - even calling me by the wrong name. It raised concerns about whether he was even sober when communicating with me. He also spread false claims about me to my property manager, saying I submitted multiple maintenance requests in a week when I only submitted one.

Meanwhile, my property is left with unresolved issues that fall squarely under their responsibility.

This HOA has been not only unresponsive, but also disrespectful and dismissive. If you’re considering buying in this community - beware.

I live in Albuquerque

I live in Albuquerque, NM, and have been researching Sentry as our community is experiencing numerous issues. Poor response to complaints received via email or by phone. They will not tell me when they will (or if they will) fix my sprinklers, as the yard by my condo is dying and no water from the sprinklers. They stated there were too many things being done, and they could not provide the answer or intentions. I should call them back if nothing is done in 3 weeks...??? I even checked the BBB, and they have an A+ rating. I found almost no reviews to support that.

There was a meeting scheduled that Sentry canceled 10 minutes AFTER it was supposed to start, 20 residents at the door waiting from before 6:00 pm. The meeting notice said they would lock the doors at 6:00 promptly. That is just a taste of what our community is experiencing. Why is nobody doing anything about the service, or the way things are handled. There is no help, there is no follow up, there is no way to check the status of anything. It is up to the residents to watch, check, and verify that work gets done. If it doesn't, we report it but get no answers and in reality we don't even know if the issue report goes in, nothing to back it up and no accountability. Please prove me wrong Sentry, I would really appreciate it!

APARTMENT & BUILDING INFESTED WITH COCKROACHES

Sentry Management might just be the worst company I have EVER dealt with. We live in the Spanish Towers, in Boulder, Colorado and have been living alongside COCKROACHES for upwards of THREE months. I did not even know it was possible for cockroaches to be in Colorado. Sentry Management has completely avoided our calls, and our leasing offices calls, and has failed to do anything about to rectify the situation.

We have woken up to cockroaches in our kitchen, our panty, our dishwasher, and worst of all, our bed. The infestation is coming from the building, which means all the treatments we have completed are not stopping the cockroaches from entering our apartment. DO NOT LIVE IN AN APARTMENT MANAGED BY SENTRY MANAGEMENT.

Do not ever be a contractor under this business. Took over 6 weeks to be paid for a job that wasn't even done when they managed, but they managed funds. They lost my w9, with PERSONALLY IDENTIFIABLE INFORMATION!
Nobody knows what they are doing at this place. Rhea never answered phone calls and lied about our w9.
Finally were paid after we threatened small claims, they emailed us and said "we sent it to address on w-9"..... after you said you didnt have it???????

Wow! Rhea thinks its only important to pay certain bills! Yikes! She actually put this in writing!!! Telling the business she NEVER called back how great she thinks she is

Maaco, Chesapeake

Winston Reed, an estimator at the Chesapeake, Va location, is as crooked as a $3.00 bill. On April 10, 2024, I brought my car in for an estimate. I requested a mid-range paint job. Reed padded the estimate, including bodywork that was not necessary. The estimate came to $4728.00. The following day I received a second estimate with Keri at the Virginia Beach Maaco location. She did not try to gouge me or pad the estimate which came to $1377.00. A $3351.00 difference they did an excellent job painting my car. I wonder if the owner at the Chesapeake location is aware that he has a crooked dishonest employee? Reed should be shown the door.

This is a predatory company

This is a predatory company. They are horrible and hard to get a hold of. When you do talk to someone it is in another state or country. They consistently assess higher fees than they are supposed to and tack on late charges that they won’t resolve even when they have deceived payment. I wish I could give the zero stars
They sent a generic response to a review with how to contact them and I never heard back from that either.
MAKE SURE YOU NEVER MOVE INTO A SENTRY MANAGED NEIGHBORHOOD

If I could rate -0 I Would

If I could rate -0, I surely would. The lack of communication and skill is completely incredible. A simple fob replacement and gate code request is something I've been dealing with for the last 5 months. It is mind-blowing how representatives and staff allow such weak and poor service. The so-called ''ACCESS TEAM'' is inexistent; callbacks from representatives from that department never happen. The customer service line will repeat over and over the same thing. . BY FAR THE WORST HOA I'VE ENCOUNTERED AND DEALT WITH.
