Had 2 phone discussions, they're just plain ignorant. They're short on basic facts so I went with another law firm who I gave 5 stars.

I had a fantastic experience from Campions on my 1st purchase using a mortgage from Halifax (September 2023!).
My case was handled by Red Team, really appreciate the effort that has been put thorough for the over all smooth purchase experience.
Josie, Mikey & Zen has been very helpful & responsive throughout the journey.
I had some fund from overseas for this purchase so my "source of fund" check was complex & took time.
I must say that Zoe from onboarding team demonstrated a lot of patience & helped me to complete the onboarding process.
I would highly recommend Campions for a smooth 1st time buying experience with a reasonable fees.

Poor customer service. I rang the company's Boston Office to try and arrange an appointment for a new will.
I am a blue badge holder and cannot walk far at all. I was told that major refurbishment work was underway at Boston and that there was no parking there at all. Advised to park at nearest public car park which is 200 metres away or try and find a parking slot on street (unlikely). No attempt was made to find me an alternative location to undertake my will. I would have been happy to travel to another location. Answer was totally unprofessional in my opinion and needless to say I won't be using Sills and Betteridge ever again for anything.

I worked with the Red Team during a sale of a leashold property. Zen Thomas was the most lazy and inept professional I have ever worked with. She never bothered to chase up anything -I had to make all the phone calls to the management company. She had no idea what issues were outstanding. The company always gave me different information to what she gave. She gave me advice that was contrary to my interets and had to get private solicitor advice to confirm that what she told me what not inmy interests and not a legal requirement. The company website does not provide information on how to submit complaints. 2 sales fell through and all she wanted to do was close the file! Total paper pusher and time waster. Avoid her at all costs.

Awful service from start to finish, still have open complaint from last year with no response still….

Poor communication throughout please avoid using this company. Lost my original buyer which lost me a lot of money. From working in financial services myself I know what to expect and this was terrible.

If I can give a review without any star, I will. I have not received such a bad representation where the applicant's Barrister and defendant Barrister acted as if they were friends, only to find out they knew themselves and have worked previously together. They felt that I was stupid and did not know my rights, but I saw through them..Its 9months still no, final order, was not expecting any, because the whole process was all a Joke. Even when the applicant was a blatant liar, because of his selfish intentions from the onset, my solicitor was on his side, telling me that he made an allegation against me, one that was not founded but then the useless criminal refused to go back to court as ordered by the Judge, because there would have been a fact finding hearing and the truth would have come out. It is so disgusting to think that your solicitor acting on your behalf will say that but there is an allegation against you, but on the other hand you are trying to explain the truth and the fact, but they will not listen..Why did you agree to act on my behalf? The question is to Sills and Betteridge.

I am grateful for the revelations, because I do not have to deal with such unprofessionalism.

It's has taken me so long to leave this review, but my candid advice would be to stay away from this firm, what a waste of funds.

I am writing this review to express my profound disappointment and frustration with Campions Solicitors, based on the appalling experience our previous solicitors and I have had with their services. Our ordeal with this firm has left us feeling utterly let down and stressed beyond measure.

Five years ago, we purchased a house, and it was explicitly stated in the contract that Campions Solicitors were responsible for procuring and providing indemnity insurance, specifically for the lack of easement on the property. This insurance was crucial for the purchase to take place.

Recently, we found ourselves in need of this indemnity insurance as we were seeking a new mortgage for our property. To our shock and dismay, whilst trying to get the policy - Campions Solicitors have been completely unresponsive to our requests and have seemingly violated their contractual obligations. Our previous solicitors have been attempting to contact them for over a month, with no success.

The disregard shown by Campions Solicitors for our situation and the contractual obligations they undertook is nothing short of shocking. Their actions, or rather lack thereof, have had a devastating impact on us financially. Very dissapointed in a company that is meant to care.

My ex-wife was a client of Sills & Betteridge in Lincoln. I believe that S&B supported my ex-wife in applying for a false non-molestation order against me in an effort to stop me from seeing my children, and supported her in making a subsequent false legal aid claim (legal aid fraud). The behavior of S&B was atrocious and vicious, and has caused long lasting harm.

Nottingham branch- slow, slow, slow!!!! From the beginning to me finding another solicitor. I rarely got called back, emails apparently went to ‘junk’, however my email to say I have found another solicitor got an almost instant reply! Although the solicitor was thorough and knowledgable, the lack of contact and relationship made the process very frustrating and I would not recommend using this company. I have had more communication from the new solicitors in two days than I did over 7 months. Don’t waste your time.

Very slow...

Offer accepted April 19th, now still not ready to exchange.

Big delays at the beginning due to waiting for a draft contract to be sent, after a couple weeks I requested they chase them up. Nothing happened until I personally asked estate agent, who told me it had already been sent. Had to request a resend.

Searches weren't submitted until 31st May due to this.

19th June I chase on search results, they had already come back unsure how long ago. 4th July they have reviewed them.

Waited weeks for mortgage offer due to them being removed from Skiptons panel, after countless calls chasing them I got my offer 21st June. The only thing blocking this was Campions not filling out the documentation to reapply. Vendor could have easily pulled out due to this seeming like there were issues.

28th June I get section 21 eviction notice, I make them aware of this same day. Expiring 28th August. I have also reminded them many times and each time been told "I'll note it on your file"... so that hasn't been taken seriously.

Enquiries sent 7th July, they never sent any pre-search enquiries. They were waiting on a land registry document they were informed the vendor did not hold and could not provide.

Sometimes useful on phone, often unable to speak to the team.

Emails are rarely responded to, if they are they are vague and don't really answer the question. Response times to look at emails from vendors solicitor is minimum 2 working days although going up to 3 working days, which is a long time considering I'm homeless in 15 working days.

I am sure they will blame vendors solicitor for delays but I know they respond same-day or next working day the majority of the time.

Told they would send me contract to sign ready but have not sent it.

We are so close to exchange but Campions are dragging out the process. A simple phone call to the vendors solicitor could likely solve the constant back and forth we are stuck in.

Nearing the end of my eviction date, Campions have really worked hard to meet the deadline.q

Frustrating times ...... I just wish the LEASEHOLDER could be located so everything could be sorted.

My first experience with Campions Solicitors, great experience, fast reply, every step well managed.

Campions have been great for my first home, they were really clear and managed my legal business efficiently. A big shout out to Josie Cutter who I did my dealings with, she was really helpful, clear and helped me understand everything as a first time buyer.

I will definitely use them again not just for conveyancing, but for other legal business I will require.

Awful customer service, slow to respond or do their job. My simple house sale with no chain has taken 3 months so far and I have still not got any information as to when I can exchange. At one point my solicitor didn't even know which property they were dealing with and gave me the wrong information multiple times. My buyer is on the verge of backing out and there is nothing I can do. The staff are rude and unhelpful and take weeks to reply to you if at all. Will not use them again in future or recommend.

We used Campions to purchase our first house. They were very helpful throughout the whole procedure with good communication and quick responses to emails. The whole process was relatively quick and easy for us. We would definitely recommend Campions.

we are extremely disappointed with Campions service. 8 weeks into a basic house sale, no searches involved. no reply at all from emails after taking funds from us and no progression on the sale.

They got my purchase done with no issues at a very reasonable price and were always happy to help with any queries I had along the way. I would 100% go with them again for conveyancing.
