Made a reservation to view a used car and received a video which was good as was 80 miles away . On arrival to this large impressive site went to reception was offered coffee and introduced to Ryan who smoothly completed the admin for the test drive . He took my son and I to the car and explained the controls and showed us on google where to go for a test drive . We returned after 25 mins parked the car and had a good look around it for 30 mins before having a quick wonder around and saw another model we also liked so asked if we could also try that and very soon we were out again and on return we were left to look over both. After 45 mins went in to see Ryan and agreed to purchase the reserved car . He smoothly went through the stages offering various purchase plans but was cash buyer and additional body / interior treatments which I declined . I paid and discussed collection before being given a receipt and leaving .
After 5 days received a call and text car ready ring to arrange pick up and as I was coming via train Ryan picked me up from the station as we entered the site my car was gleaming out the front .
He completed the V5 transfer, car tax, and VW warranty before giving me the keys and taking me to the car where he set up my phone and air con and when I started the engine I noticed it was fuelled up brill for my 80 mile drive .
I told him is was a pleasure doing business at this large impressive site with friendly staff and no at any stage being pressured . I can only say I without hesitation I would look them up if I want to buy another VW .

We called in only to have a look at the Golf GTI’s and ended up speaking with Sam Eckett who was very helpful in showing us what was available & how they can get a car I wanted from their other branches if I didn’t fancy what they had. Anyway ended up taking 2 cars out for a test drive which were both automatic (I’ve never driven an automatic before) but Sam made me feel so comfortable & explained everything to me. Sam wasn’t pushy at all in us buying the car, however we loved the Golf GTI and ended up buying it. Picked it up on Thursday 21/08/25 and the car is awesome. Even had a courtesy call today off Sam to check if I’m happy with it and if I needed any advice or more help just to ring him and he’ll happily go through everything again with me. Highly recommend visiting the garage, dealing with Sam and definitely purchasing a Golf GTI.

The experience of buying the car was quick and easy

I reserved a car at the Cardiff branch and asked if it could be viewed/test driven at Swansea. Nicky, Swansea contacted me with all the details and arranged viewing etc.
Nicky updated me on progress and even arranged to deliver my new car to me.

After 25 years of owning classic Volkswagens, we bought our first modern VW Golf (not from Sinclair's). We decided to get the best service plan for it. We got contacted about a recalled part back in September last year. We took the Golf in, they did the work and when we got our car back there was a massive dent and scratch down the passenger side door. When we confronted Darren we were told, "that'll buff out" in a really dismissive and unapologetic manner. They'd also taken a massive chunk out of one of our rear alloy wheels and deeply scratched the other. Eventually they took responsibility for it and agreed to fix the problem. This took months. When we got it back they had pulled out the dents and left the weld spots in the door panel... We sent it back again and after several more months we went to pick it up. You guessed it, more damage. They'd kirbed one of the alloys (that they'd only recently reconditioned) and our car was full of dust from the body shop. Literally caked in it. We refused to take it. They sent it to a body shop where it sat for weeks. Only to contact the body shop ourselves and find out that they don't repair wheel damage. At this point we'd had enough and asked for our car to be returned to us. When it arrived, you guessed it, more damage! They'd "cleaned it" leaving circular stratches all over our paint work (a particularly bad one on our bonnet) and a gouge out of our windscreen rubber... This took the count to 7 separate damages over a 9 month period.

We complained to head office, and they informed us that Sinclair were not willing to offer compensation of any kind because, get this, they'd fixed the damage they'd done and covered the cost of a courtesy car.

In my 25 years of driving, I have never had such a diabolical experience with any garage in my life. Darren, in particular, throughout this experience avoided calls and was incredibly unprofessional throughout.

As a gesture of goodwill Volkswagen offered us a £500 voucher.

We have since moved our local garage from Swansea to Port Talbot.

Do not, I repeat, do not expect a quality service from these charlatans. We are devoted Volkswagen fans and this experience left us wondering how they can represent such a well established brand. Of course when it comes to sales, these guys are nice as pie. Any positive reviews they have truly misrepresent their Vehicle Servicing standards.

Were very professional, took in exactly what I wanted and delivered the car that fulfilled my needs. Liam was not pushy and very helpful throughout the process.

I just bought my first VW and I was absolutely blown away with the level of customer service by Liam and the attention to detail snd communication all the way through the process was outstanding.
First of all - I can’t thank Liam enough for being so attentive and professional. He made me feel at ease, was able to hold a good conversation making the process easy and enjoyable and for the first time in a car dealership was not made to feel stupid/like another a number - another sale, which I have experienced in another dealership.
I was made to feel very special upon collection of the new car which I have never experienced before, the attention to detail was amazing and so thoughtful I can’t thank you enough. Liam deserves a raise - you don’t come across many like him in sales where customer service is upheld to the highest standard. Highly recommend Volkswagen, highly recommend Liam.
