DEFINITELY NOT RECOMMENDED!!!

RECEIVED VERY POOR SERVICE AND WAS RIPPED-OFF!

I went to this snappy snaps in Streatham High Road to hopefully obtain faithful reproductions of some rare and valuable original artwork, which the owner (Mr Moss) assured me could definitely be done to within 95% quality of the originals, and as such took a £50 deposit from me which i paid in good faith...

2 weeks later the work was completed and i went to collect it only to find that it was nowhere near 95% of the originals, it was not even 50% of the originals! Something which Mr Moss himself readily agreed was unacceptable and completely unfit for purpose, telling me that he'd try again and to come back...

This continued for several weeks, each time no further work had been attempted until, eventually, he claimed he'd somehow misplaced the work altogether!?? (duh!)

It did eventually turn up after several weeks, however, more than 3 months later in all and he called me in, clearly no more work had been attempted on it and at which point Mr Moss admitted that he couldn't do it, that it was just too difficult for him to accurately reproduce!

Whereupon i naturally asked for my £50 deposit back only to be told that even though he couldn't do the work or complete it to my, or even HIS own satisfaction, i couldn't be refunded because he'd had to spend time working on it even though that work was nowhere near up to scratch and had, in fact, resulted in artwork that was TOTALLY UNFIT for the purpose it was originally intended!!!

He took my deposit quickly enough, though, on the basis that he could definitely do the work to my 95% satisfaction but couldn't actually do so! And then wants ME to pay for HIS failure???

Not a good business and not a good businessman, i was lied to, mislead and ripped-off, so don't trust this business or the surely owner mr moss as he's clearly a money-grubbing thief, one who cares more about obtaining money than he does good (or even legal) business practices!

As such, i have reported them to trading standards and will be taking the matter all the way to the courts if necessary, £50 might not be much to be bothering about, but as a disabled pensioner on a fixed income i can't afford to be ripped-off by every tom, dick and crooked printer that comes along selling lies and deceiving people just to grab their money under false pretenses!

MR MOSS IS A SCAMMER!!! - ONLY USE HIS PRINTING SERVICES AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!!! - HE RIPPED ME OFF FOR £50!!! - YOU HAVE BEEN DULY WARNED!!!!!

I came into Cambridge store (LOC-1527) earlier today and spoke to Firas and Maria. I am extremely happy with their help!

I came in with an important issue.. I foolishly cancelled my UK passport, as I thought I lost it, but then I found it! I recognised Firas straight away as he had served me when I got the photos taken for that passport back in May 2022.

These members of staff have made me feel protected and have advised me on getting a new passport, and updated my provisional driving licence (with new address and new image), as well as an updated bus licence (with new address and new image too).

God bless them, and this business!

I am a regular customer at the new Greenwich branch. The staff here are amazing - so helpful and knowledgable, they really want to make your photo the best it can be. It’s always a good experience coming here.

I had an old video tape of my daughter being interviewed on American TV for an ice skating segment of the local news and wanted to have it put onto CD and Memory Stick.

I took it to Snappy Snaps Swindon and, although not as straightforward as I hoped as an American VHS tape Victoria in Swindon went above and beyond to make sure, after a couple of visits we went home with exactly what we were hoping for.

Called into your Newton Abbott store and was greeted by a most pleasant young lady, who immediately asked if she could help me with the loveliest smile I have seen in a long time. Quite made my day and the photo enlargement she did for me was excellent. I should have asked her name?

Paul from the Bromley store was amazing! He helped me edit my pictures for my mothers funeral came back a week later nothing but exceptional customer service continue to make customers happy and thank you so much ! Roch

I used Snappy Snaps in Norwich today to get a passport photo and they were really helpful and efficient. I didn't have to wait long and the whole process only took about 5 minutes. They were able to check the photo was acceptable for the passport office before I paid so no worries about it being rejected. They also gave me a code to upload the photo onto the passport website which was super easy. Would definitely recommend!!

Went to print a single 10x8 photo print and it was £8.00 which is utterly ridiculous. I have been in the phot game a while and that is a crazy price. Complete rip off.

Visited snappy snaps yesterday to print out some photos of deceased family members for a memory table at my sons wedding. For some reason my phone would not sync to the photo computer but soon Richard came to our rescue and soon commandeered my phone and sent my photos via email which worked out perfectly. Richard then came to rescue again when he seen us discussing a photo for we wanted printed for ourselves which we had just bought a frame for. Richard got the photo printed via email again and then went above and beyond the call of duty and cropped the photo to match the heart shape frame and then fitted the photo into are new picture frame, all at no extra cost. I will definitely use this shop again. Thanks again Richard for all your help it was really gratefully appreciated from 2 technophobes.

TLDR I was really shocked at being charged £80 for shoddy canvas. BUT, Snappy Snaps Guildford staff got in touch to offer to re-do or refund me. I went for the re-do. Turns out, the equipment wasn't up to it for another 2 times and then finally, we got it right and I walked away with my canvas - at a good enough level of quality. The shop staff in Guildford were helpful, and the 4 stars are for them. I do feel the company need to look at the quality aspects of their offering, as it was very difficult to get this right.

I have used the Lewisham branch of this company for decades and the staff there have always been great. On this occasion I needed a medical illustration slide to be copied from the 25 year old original for publication in a journal.The two young men on duty that morning did a fantastic job with the resolution and cropping of this image and it looked fantastic.They could not have been more helpful or professional.

I have just tried to get some photos printed in the Hertford branch. The assistant wasn't very helpful and told me I had an attitude problem as I made a comment that there was no WIFI to connect to, to be able to send my photos. She suggested I went back home and emailed them using my own WIFI and then return the next day to collect them. She then rudely said, 'Did I actually want the email address ?" I asked if she wanted my business or if I should go elsewhere. She replied I should go somewhere else.
I am sure her bosses will not be happy with her turning customers away. What an unpleasant experience. I will never return

I wrote a review which received no response. I used to use Timpson all the time for business that will stop due to the customer service from Snappy Snaps.

My wife visited you Crouch End store to have photographs taken for her Personal Licence (like a passport photo but lets strict). Anyway when she was in there the lady that served her was on the phone on single earbud whilst serving her. Whist I don't mind what she does she seemed to Rush my wife and it ended up when she got home she wasn't happy with the photos.

She did ask for a receipt to be emailed although it never came. The only other thing is she was charged £24.99 whilst I think that is expensive if that the cost then so be it but when she was in there another lady came and was quoted £18.00 for passport photos so if you could please let me know why we were charged £24.99.. My wife doesn't like to make a fuss so didn't say anything in the shop.

I just wondered if there was anything you wanted to do to make her happy.

FYI we both got passport photos at your Wood Green store and the service there was amazing on two separate occasions.

Artur at Snappy Snaps Richmond was fab - he quickly understood the problem and solved it efficiently. Unfortunately my 1st visit didn't go as well with another assistant. But on returning to the shop, Artur solved the problem and deserves 5 stars.

Went for a passport photo today, the young lady who served me was very pleasant, cheerful and helpful. Excellent service 👍

I ordered a canvas print of a painting at Guildford. It was a simple job. A perfect square and only two tone in colour - black background, beige painting. I asked for a 30cm by 30 cm canvas print.
I have received a 60cm by 60cm print, and the base hasn't got the print on it, it's the grey base. There's an uneven line so it wasn't printed in one take. The image isn't centred and over stretched. There's unsightly bleed on the edges. I said when I had to self place the order on a machine that couldn't even move the mouse to align the print that I DID NOT WANT these issues as it was a gift for a friend. It is lucky I wasn't selling this, as I couldn't, the quality is so poor. I think if you are going to charge £80 pounds for this service, one busy shop assistant who gets you to self-serve is a bit poor. I am writing to customer service for a full refund, and I still need my print!

I have been going to snappy snaps in Hammersmith for years. The staff are fantastic and the service is great! I would recommend them to anyone.
