I was told...when we considered buying…

I was told...when we considered buying this permanent licence for Solidworks that I could sell it if i ever so wished. Apparently that was wrong. Im stuck with it. The deal was done with Central Innovations, Auckland NZL who are now refusing to answer any questions on the matter. They were happy to make the sale. Fortunate I'd say. I did do some basic training as suggested and then realised what a monster I had bought - far exceeding my probable usage. Should have bought Autocad Fusion.

Hammered crap

This site crashes more than a drunk driver, and its slow on a normal business PC. The interface is mid and overall it's a POS software, rather build the stuff with legos or draw what I need than use this stupid goofy software. DO NOT use this software, it's hammered dog crap. This is my warning!

Sistema di trasferimento licende…

Sistema di trasferimento licende penoso. Licenza Draftsight installata su più di un PC, ma per non essere mai utilizzata in contemporanea. Per trasferire la licenza da una macchina all'altra occorre disattivarla e attivarla sull'altra. Se ci si dimentica la disattivazione sulla prima, non c'è modo di attivarla anche se ci si trova a distanza e la prima non è accessibile!
Disastro!!

Waste of time

Been using it for 3 years now and all I can say is that it's terrible and slow. The ''user friendly'' interface and assistance will have you asking ''Why don't you understand?''. If you have the time and energy to learn any other CAD software then please do so.

I bought by paypal the product Student Edition ( I'm a student) but the download doesn't work. So i was obliged to buy 3D experience. Solidworks jokes me and don't refunt. I'm youtuber, I'll advertise your joke on all my channel.

Misleading and horrible user interface

I am a Mac user, and after trying your browser-based version of SolidWorks, I decided to purchase a monthly subscription. However, it seems that the full version only works on Windows, as indicated by the installation steps shown in the startup videos.

The information provided about your products, trials, programs, and pricing has been very confusing. I was under the impression that I could continue using SolidWorks in the browser, as I did during the trial.

If I cannot use the program in the browser as expected, I would like to request a refund, as the whole process has been quite misleading.

Schlechtester Support den ich je…

Schlechtester Support den ich je erhalten habe! Man braucht die Software, aber man hat eine Fehlermeldung und kann die Software nicht benutzen. Die einzige Antwort die der Support geben kann, ist das er dir dein Geld zurück gibt, ohne das du das wolltest. Fragen werden nicht beantwortet. Wirkt so als wüsste Solidworks das sie selbst schuld sind, aber keine Ahnung haben wie sie es beheben können.

Mach es nicht!! Man hat nur Probleme.. Support?? Nope ist sehr schwierig. Viele Fehlermeldungen und ein Onlinezwang der alles noch schlimmer macht.

Online Zwang und Probleme

Ich habe nun ein Jahr eine Maker Lizenz genutzt.

Zusammenfassend kann ich sagen:

- Bedingungsloser Online Zwang, selbst wenn das Internet kurz weg ist kann man das Arbeiten direkt einstellen
- Jeder Hotfix, jedes Update hat mir die Installation zerstört, ich kam nie um eine Neuinstallation herum und Hotfixes kommen gefühlt bis zu 2 mal im Monat
- Cloud Programm, keine normale Installation, alles läuft über die sehr umständlich zu bedienende 3D Experience Plattform
- Wenn man nicht aufpasst wird die Datei in der Cloud gespeichert und nicht mehr auf dem PC, habe keine Möglichkeit gefunden das rückgängig zu machen
- Kommentar Sektionen in der Cloud sind voll von genervten Nutzern, das scheint Dasstault Systems nicht zu interessieren
- Hilfe ist nicht hilfreich, ich habe dem Support sehr detailliert (genaue Fehlermeldungen etc.) meine Probleme zu der Installation geschildert, es kamen nur generische Rückmeldungen die kein Stück weiterhelfen

Tja, war eine kurze Zeit, ab zur Konkurrenz/Open Source Alternativen wie Autodesk oder FreeCAD :-)

Poor Support Service

I am writing to bring to your attention an issue that I have been experiencing with your software. Unfortunately, I have encountered a number of bugs in the software that have been preventing me from using it as effectively as I would like.

To make matters worse, I have reached out to your support team several times in order to get some assistance with these issues, but have not received any response. This lack of support has left me feeling frustrated and disappointed with your service.

Your time has no value to these people.

I bought a makers license I was able to use it once but when I tried to log on a second time it was asking for a code. It did not say where to find this code. I could not get support to resolve that issue because it required me to logon to report a log on issue. My only option was to stop paying the subscription.
Their response was not to resolve the log on issue but for me to spend more money and suffer through the setup process just to be locked out again. Your time is worth nothing to these people.

SWD for makers: A big NOPE (2x)

I was interested into the Solidworks for Makers offer. Seems quite nice and I loved working with the proffessionnal version as an engineer so why not use it home as well. First, you have a bunch of useless
online Apps with this deal and need a connected version of Solidworks. Anyways, I went for the 10$ monthly subscription and tryied to install it. After a full day of issues and forum troubleshooting, I discovered that my setup wasn't able to run the software. Tried to find help and the only answer I got was THERE WAS NO REFUND ON MONTHLY SUBSCRIPTIONS. So basically the take your money without providing support (the users do between each other) and when you find out you can't use the product, you still pay for 30 days. I clearly recommend Fusion360, as a lot of other users in my situation.

Edit:
I tried to reach the support once again since my issue wasn't answered and they don't answer anymore. After five unanswered mails, I deceided to abandon. I discovered today that the did not cancel my subscription as the say. Conclusion: aftersale will answer when they like your question and still lie to you. What a great service for a worldwide company...

Solidworks Maker Licence

As a long term professional Solidworks user, When I heard about the maker licensee it sounded perfect for my hope jobs.

The first moth worked perfectly. Now I cant access the online portal to launch solidworks. I couldn't even access my login as it stated I didn't have access. So I re subscribed for this month as I presumed it wasn't rolling.

Turns out I now appear to have two subscriptions and still no access.

The following morning I seem to have access but when I click the Solidworks icon. Nothing loads.

I have tried to contact Solidworks through the website, online chat, dealers and now an email address. None of which have responded and very helpful dealers cant support for Maker edition.

Its really infuriating and have now spent two evenings without any success.

Very poor for such a large company.
