We have just purchased our first caravan. After calling Songhurst for advice they found our perfect family caravan. We had a first visit and paid our deposit. Being newbies we had lots of questions and both Tim and James could not have been more helpful or friendly. When we collected our caravan we had a demo from Kevin. We left songhurst ready for our new adventures and will definitely use them for any caravan equipment we will need. A very friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable team. Thank you

We have bought a caravan from this company today and I think it is the first time I have ever enjoyed spending money.
It has been a joy to have met this company Tim, James and Co their knowledge is second to none and nothing was to much trouble. If we buy another caravan it will be with Songhurst.

What a great place to buy a caravan for the service at the time of purchase to the after service, first class would highly recommend Songhurst Caravans. Tim and the team, nothing is too much trouble.
We purchased our caravan back in 2018, and we were very happy with the advice and sales service we received.
We have also had servicing and repair work carried out, always on time and efficiently undertaken.
When we have had an issue or needed advice they have always come to our rescue.

Bought our caravan 1 year ago and absolutely delighted with it..had a couple of minor issues with it and the company couldn't help enough

Today on returning from Cornwall I ripped iff my tv arial on a branch so contacted songhurst and staff very helpful on how to replace..the same day had a puncture and rang songhurst who told me to bring tyre in for replacement for around 65 pounds..the service guy looked at puncture and repaired fo 33 pound

Cannot not recommend this company high enough..

It is very rare that you receive such a high level of customer care. Tim, James and all the team were so helpful and patient during our initial visit, answering the copious amount of questions (we are 1st time caravaners). Time was taken to understand our needs and requirements in order to guide us towards our ultimate purchase. The whole process was made so easy. I must not forget the very detailed handover that helped a complete novice to understand all the controls, how to hitch up and set up.
Absolutely five stars. I would give more if possible.

Songhurst made us welcome from the start even before we decided to buy our first van. They have been open and above board with the pros and cons of the different vans and have helped us to make the right choice for us. We have visited other dealers who just wanted to sell a van and were not interested in us and our needs and expectations. The team have provided valuable advice and we cannot thank them enough.

After a gap of 20+ years since we owned a caravan we recently purchased a 2015 caravan from Songhurst . We found everyone there to be friendly, helpful and extremely knowledgeable. We did not feel at all pressured and James and Tim were very patient with our questions, even those asked after we had returned from our first trip away in the caravan! The caravan was very clean and presentable when we picked it up and we only had to wait just over a week before the van was ready for collection.

Songhurst Caravans made our caravan sale go smoothly and kept us in the loop every step of the way. We would highly recommend dealing with Jamie & Tim who we found honest & professional . Would definitely return ! Morgan

UPDATE to the review below,
Having been in contact with Mastercard, they upheld my complaint and obviously felt my case was just and have arranged compensation for the problems I had below.
If buying a caravan or having it serviced be very careful. (My complaints started around 3 months after purchase due to circumstances To wash and check it)
Read the terms and conditions of sale, the paper on which it is written will be worth more than the contract.
we bought the caravan for around £10,500 Songhurst which has changed hands from a really reputable dealership
we have used for 28 years. We waited for three weeks while they pre-checked it and gave it a service,
which in my opinion neither was done, some problems which could have been dangerous, sad to leave a revue
like this, but with the multitude of faults....., the caravan may have to have a new rear panel at some point, will cost us around £1300
plus to fix it has splits on top on the panel and funny enough when collecting, Tim the director said to me we do not warranty the rear panel, I did find it strange to mention ?
mind you when you read the terms and conditions, most items will not be covered by warranty.
The wheel nuts were badly tightened, needed a 3 foot bar and had to stand on it to release some of them and seen by a witness who gave me the bar, while some were not fully tightened, 5 of the blinds did not work some faulty, all I was told by Songhurst was replacement blinds were not available,
The fire was a fire hazzard, the mud flaps were made out of old bits of carpet, one of which landed on my drive, he accused me of possibly fitting them myself !!, again nothing just the reply of "they do not need to be fitted, by law, No, But, if fitted there is a legal requirement that they must be safe !! There are too many faults to list, but the last I will mention is I used 6 tubs of water cleaner , the water from the taps etc was so black and bad that it blocked the tap outlets and has taken several weeks and still not clear. I mentioned on no less than twice about the dreadful service carried out, I was told "we are sales service is nothing to do with us" , well service is the backbone of a company such as yours. That was that The list of faults is around 15 plus all of which I have had to fix, too many to list here. We are now 12 months on.
I had asked for compensation got brushed over and finally sent an email, here is a snippet from the reply from their
director

"I had the chance to speak to Mastercard myself alongside the Federation for Small Business outlining your complaints and we have in no way breached the Consumer Rights Act of 2015, therefore, you have no right to a chargeback through Mastercard as you say you do. Although if you would like to pursue this route or any legal action against us that is your prerogative".
"James has given you much of his time to help and it saddens me that you have decided to pursue us in a personal and vindictive way. James has mentioned to me that he has felt harassed by you at times and as a company, there is simply nothing more we can do for you."

What the hell did you do for me, I must have missed it.
Sorry I do not believe the above, James may have felt awkward, and probably with good reason, If you want to know "a personal and vindictive way" means, just call with a problem, that is exactly how I was treated on my first call of which I mentioned to his staff !!
"Goods sold also must be fit for purpose" heard of that one ?

"Nice such a caring company". I am in negotiations with trading standards and mastercard, why didnt you just fix all these, you were quick enough to take my money oh no forgot, terms and conditions where none are covered.

First class service!! Had such a good experience 4 years ago we went back to purchase another caravan. Tim and the team couldn’t be more helpful, showing patience and understanding when walking us through the new caravan. Friendly and professional and you will receive a warm welcome. I would highly recommend Songhurst to anyone considering buying a new caravan. A1 seller!!

New to caravans, They took the time to service and look at every detail of the van as well as showing us every last detail on arrival. Nothing was too much trouble, they were kind, patient and tentative to us and our little boy!

When we couldn’t unhitch long after the working day was over Tim was kindly on hand to talk us through what we needed to do

When we eventually upgrade we won’t consider going anywhere else.

The best experience and more we could’ve hoped for as first timers.

Had a fantastic experience with this company. All the staff make you feel welcome as soon as you walk through the door. We are the second generation in my family to use Songhurst Caravans and like my parents, we were not disappointed at all. James helped us to find the right caravan for us, Tim helped with all the admin and it was fully serviced before we picked it up today. Not only that, we were given a comprehensive instructional tour by Kevin. Having forgotten our towing mirrors, they stepped in and leant us a pair. Nothing is too much trouble for them.
