Southern Ukulele Store Opiniones

I've just received a Kala 20th Anniversary Deluxe Koa soprano ukelele from SUS. The uke was promptly posted, well and securely packaged and, when it arrived, extremely well set up.

Service and communication was impeccable and SUS deserves its reputation as one of the best ukulele stores in the world.

Went in to buy a tenor ukulele after haunting the website and the reviews for ages. Nothing compares to trying in person though. Magnificent range to choose from, great guidance to stay within price range and even a blind hearing test on other ukes. But otherwise I was allowed to just sit and try my way through every ukulele I wanted without feeling overheard or pressured for time.

What is really outstanding to me though is their dedication to good set up. Making sure the frets are even, the bridge grooves are not too large and that the strings match the body resonance mean I think I'm a much better player now as rattles buzzes and hums are almost eliminated and barre chords sound better.

Came away with two kala nightowl revelator tenors not one as they were so wonderful.

As an addict of the differing sounds of ukulele, Southern is my go to store with the various reviews and sound sessions by Alex making it a comprehensive service - and the back up from Romeo when you ring - it's IMO unbeatable - god knows what it will cost me when I finally get to visit 🫣.

I've purchased a number of Ukes from Southern Ukulele Store, the most recent was my Kala 20th Anniversary Pan Pacific Soprano. As always, everything was setup perfectly and shipped in a timely and safe manner. You can't go wrong!

Superb place, great people, great advice, great range of ukuleles, great setups. What more can I say? they are great.

I have a number of baritone ukuleles and a couple needed setup and fettle. Dropped in to SUS to ask for advice. New set of strings for both - one steel strung which also needed a fret stoning, and an 8-string that needed just the strings. Both came out really well.
Much appreciated to all the help given :)

An amazing range of great ukuleles that you can see and try. Friendly expert advice from staff who are also great musicians, and a workshop that will ensure your purchase is correctly set up. And did I mention the coffee cart, the easy parking and the workshops they organise on site. And if you can't make it to the store they post reviews of instruments and have a great online sales service. What's not to like?

Amazing Ukulele Store with a brilliant team running it - they are passionate about Uke's, have got fantastic personal relationships with the best Uke makers in the world, play brilliantly, and have all the time in the world to help every customer. Oh, and they organise awesome day workshops on all things Uke. Definitely my go-to Uke store.

ive never had a bad experience with purchasing ukuleles from this shop highly recommend.

SUS are an excellent source of Ukes, accessories and most of all their comprehensive appraisal of various ukes via their YouTube videos.
The service is also first rate. I have recently ordered a uke on Saturday and it was delivered by 10am on Tuesday in Yorkshire.
They offer a comprehensive range of instruments, for all abilities, at competitive prices. Well done all the team at SUS!

I can't recommend these guys highly enough. Their expertise is amazing and nothing is too much trouble. After doing a great job of helping me chose the uke of my dreams (Oli concert), they then came to my rescue a few months later when it was accidentally damaged!
Phil did an incredible repair job, on both my uke and my morale (both now as good as new) and I'll be forever grateful for his understanding and excellent craftsmanship.
Thanks guys, I'll certainly be back.

Do I have to limit it to 5 stars on a scale of 5? Southern Ukulele Store (SUS) was a joy to work with from the questions I had before the purchase to even after I received the Kanilea that I purchased. Romeo helped with all of my questions about this purchase and uke care, and Alex helped with the customs process for delivery to New York. Highest recommendation!!

Great customer service and have the best baritone ukuleles around and at good prices

Pre-Ordered a Flight Aviator, was told they would be available in October. Received a message Sept 15 that it was on the way, it arrived next day. Packaging, comms and instrument setup excellent as always, just tuned it and played. Very happy customer, would recommend and will use again.

I took my ubass in to the store to be restrung with flatwounds. I received an excellent service from SUS from start to finish. I was impressed by their great communication (both internally and customer facing), their speed of service and their kindness.
I had called ahead to make sure they could do the job and when I arrived at the store several days later I was amazed to find they remembered my call and were expecting me (even though they were super busy with the workshop going on)! They had to order in the strings and I asked them to post the instrument back to me. They did all of this in a matter of a few working days and I soon had the instrument back safely. Also, they did not charge me anything for labour (!) as the strings were quite expensive which was incredibly kind of them. Absolutely amazing service. A real pleasure to do business with.

I put in an advance order for the new Flight Aviator slimline baritone after seeing Alex's excellent review, and it arrived very promptly indeed, way ahead of the predicted arrival date (but I suppose SUS are wise to hold back a little in case of unexpected delays).
The uke is a little beauty, and sooo light. The volume is good, the sustain excellent, and access to the dusty end so easy. Construction is much like the Revelators in that the body is hollowed out from solid pieces, and the book matching and figuring on the solid mango top is a joy.
For the first ten minutes of playing I found a little less room at the nut than I am used to with my Kala Spruce baritone, but I quickly adapted and it is not a problem. I'm also used to Worth Browns on my baritones, so was surprised how the wound strings projected themselves better - I mean, the Worths are definitely not muddy, but I now have more attack on the D and G strings and find myself having to show a little restraint on them to give the B and E strings an equal presence.
All in all an excellent uke, well built and priced, and highly recommended.

It was time for an upgrade & I needed some advice. What a fantastic experience! I spent a few hours in the shop with Romeo & Alex & left with a beautiful maple top Night Owl by Kala. Thank you guys for your warm welcome & wealth of experience!

A couple of weeks ago I purchased a flight carabao lite baritone in spruce/mango. My third ukulele from SUS. I am so knocked out by the build quality, finish and set up, not to mention the sweet tone and more than ample volume that I decided to purchase the tenor version to replace my all solid uke which is sweet but very introvert. Once again guided by the team demo I chose the all mango version this time. Once again I am totally knocked out by the quality and sound of this instrument. These two ukuleles are stayers. Thanks once again to Alex and the team. Cheers, Dave Reader.

Whether you’re a beginner or pro, this store has an incredible range of ukuleles. I found the perfect one for my skill level and budget, and the staff were super helpful.

Amazing amount of ukuleles and accessories, helpful staff to advise and assist. Even a coffee shop, and comfy chairs to relax in.
I was able to try a whole range of different instruments, before making my final purchase.
