I've got nothing but great things to say about Sparklight. It's very affordable, my internet connection is super reliable. The customer service has always been excellent for me. I currently pay... Ver más

Been with them for years. They had someone put in line to an ADU we have on our property. I have tried for 2 months to get a hold of someone and get the service. It is no longer the personal service C... Ver más

Abysmal customer service. Now to give them credit, while you’re waiting for a human you’ll hear how valued you are 100 times. They like to say it they just don’t mean it. They sure as heck aren’t goin... Ver más
Frequently out of service, Terrible customer support
Frequently out of service, internet shuts off intermittently 10+ times a day, can’t do Teams calls for work because it resets constantly. Paid once, got charged 3x and they wanted me to ask my bank to fix their mistake - but still doesn’t show balance is paid despite having 3 confirmation numbers for 3 payments on the same date. Website interface is atrocious and not optimized for mobile, app is useless. Calling customer service takes forever and many, many menus before you can get to a human.
Support team, once you’re finally able to connect with someone, is kind and as helpful as they can be considering the terrible company they work for- so none of this review is their fault.
Over $100 month for “high speed” Internet that isn’t fast or consistent enough to work from home with.
None of these issues are due to equipment etc; problems only started after Hargray sold out to Sparklight.
Choose any other provider - they can’t be as bad as Sparklight!
Sparklight,has been Down 4 times with the 5th as a major 7+ hr outagedown 4 times with…
Sparklight, has been down 4 times with the 5th outage a 7+ hr during peak business hours. My wife works from home. From 6:45 AM to 1:55 internet was down. Had to go to verizon and buy 5G internet to ensure primary internet so my wife could work. Wow? 99.9% Sparklight up time and no customer service, no one to contact only recordings, and no compensation for lost time I paid for, and no heads up or eta's via text. what a laugh!!!!! If there was a better solution I would take it. I ran an IT network for the government for for 39 years with better service and customer notification. Sparklight fails miserably, but who in Star ID has any choice? It's like our politics pick the best of the worst. We did not even get compensation for lack of service which we paid for! Verizon is not the optimal solution, but a primary for my wife to work and sparklight is a backup because you can't count on Sparklight for work. This is foolishness and poor customer service to the max!!! Talk about monopoly. Century link..... A less tenable option or sparklight? Hmm? No choice if you work from home. I pay two times the price to ensure internet connectivity......... Anyone else tired of the foolishness???? We should always get what we paid for .... or at least consideration, notification, and compensation for services NOT RENDERED!!!!
They say you hold your place in line
They say you hold your place in line, but 2 hours later. When you call back, they say your number 20 call. Now your number 34 call. This is ridiculous to be waiting for several hours for customer service.
I had to put 1 star otherwise I would…
I had to put 1 star otherwise I would have given it a zero! Our internet has been out for 2 days now. The message says it is supposed to be available in my area at this point. I follow the direction of the message and unplug and wait and reply and wait to no avail. So I guess I need to call the tech line. I am on hold for 15 minutes before they repeat the directions of how to unplug and reply and then IT HUNG UP ON ME!! So I go to call back and the website says it block calls from this sight. Seems shady to me. Come on SPARKLIGHT, you can do better!!!
I would not recommend anybody
I would not recommend anybody. Customers service is terrible. There are not help. They charge high price but service is truly bad. I am fixing to change to different provider.
Horrible company to deal with if you…
Horrible company to deal with if you have any issues. They will raise your bill regardless if you’re on a promotion rate. Spotty service that is randomly quits for a minute or two. They will come out and disconnect without informing you if there is a problem in your area. Then they tell you to wait on the line for a survey……then click, you’re disconnected. They are ALL about getting your money. They just don’t care.
Absolutely horrible
Absolutely horrible! Our service continues to be disrupted and their service techs are less than par. The last agent suggested it was our router. When I advised him this was a new router, he suggested it was the brand because it isn't their router. He also stated my modem plugs into my router which is not the case either. Our modem is wireless. Additionally, he suggested it was the brand of my router. It sounded like he was saying Google mesh is incompatible with their systems. He then said no, that's not what he is saying. What else could he be insinuating? I thought Hargray was bad, they are no different. At least with Hargray, I stayed connected.
Outages several times per week here
Horrible internet service provider. They have outages in our area ALL THE TIME. Sometimes it is multiple times PER WEEK! Outages last anywhere from 15 mins to several hours. Occasionally, it is out for the whole day.
Sometimes it cuts out and it's sloooooooooow
Sometimes, when I am on VR or doing anything basically, the WiFi will randomly cut out, and it disconnects me from stuff, also it's Slow with a capital S
Similar to the term "an car" Sparklight is "an WiFi provider"
Nothing bad, nothing good.
Tv streaming sucks
I have constant buffering, lost connections, the app will just quit. This mainly happens on my smart tv. Plugged in a fire stick and its not much better. Anyone know how to get local channels free without paying for this piece of junk???
TRASH / Waynesville MO
Horrible service!
Constantly having to unplug and plug back in! Every day, several times a day it drops at certain times! Now I’m having to use my hotspot during my work hours when I have major zoom meetings!
Customer service sucks! They never have a direct answer or any fix to the problem!
Should not be paying this much money for CRAP service!!!
Complete garbage internet service
Complete garbage internet service. Their 24/7 tech support is them saying no ETA on the continued outages going on a month now. I had issues with cable america prior, but this is on a whole new level of BAD service. I dont recommend them at all for anything and thier Engineers need to actually learn how internet is suppose to work.
Complete trash
This company is absolutely horrible. Don't bother working with them. They should redo their site to say completely unreliable internet because it's off now than it's on. They have zero customer service and the only thing they offer reliably is the outrageously expensive bill.
There's no point in even complaining… but here goes
There's no point in me even complaining about this company or trying to call tech support, but maybe someone will be saved a headache by reading this. Just don't use them. If you do, your modem will look better on a Christmas tree than on the floor, what with all the blinking and reconnecting it does. And thanks to the moronic wifi solution that they inherited from Cableamerica, it knocks out the wifi wall unit which won't reconnect on its own for several hours. You have to physically unplug it and plug it back in, and then you'll have wifi for up to a half hour (avg. modem reboot time). They don't even seem to any local employees anymore after Sparklight bought them out. There are no service trucks in the area anymore, and their "tech support" now works from home and isn't located in-town, given that she had to ask me where I was located and I could hear the lady's bird squawking in the background of the call. I just asked one question, if this would be fixed this week. All she could do is apologize and say there's no ETA. She was nice, but nice doesn't fix anything. On top of that, they've upgraded their outage message to say it's literally the entire mid-state area. That's their whole service map...
Slow internet with someone else that works is better than fast internet that drops every 30 minutes. This company's on its way out as fast as your internet will be; avoid at all costs or that's all you'll receive - your bill. They don't deserve your money, this gaslighting crapfest deserves a class-action lawsuit.
The worst Internet provider
Let's see what went wrong. Well when I made a payment in November 2024 ,but couldn't because I had to go through Sparklight which I did at getting my new account number which I could tell I was really screwed, but got the new account number put it in it took me to their site ok not bad, but as I paid said bill it was trying to use someone else's credit card which wish I would have screenshot but didn't after 10 minutes of deleting the card they had I put mine in got a payment confirmation number and now they said that I never made that payment even though I have screenshot of it with the website and they want me to come up with another month of service or turn of the Internet. I mean when it was Cable America I never had a issue until now. I called them The 24th of January and they said I need to call cable America here in Missouri since they are not completely merged. Which is shit because I called them in December and at the beginning of January and they said they are all merged well obviously not. I can't come up with another over 100. 00 for a month they say I didn't pay but have all the payment confirmation number. I am on fixed income so there's no way to come up with that when they know you can't. And I am curious on who named it Sparklight really I hear the name and think of my daughter when she liked unicorns I guess that is the only sparkle you will have with this company.
Former Fidelity Communications Customer
Was a former Fidelity Communications customer in Arkansas. As soon as Fidelity was bought/rebranded or whatever they choose to call it as Sparklight, started having daily internet outages. Took forever to get through to someone because I'd lost the ONE letter they sent me talking about the transfer and didn't have the correct info. Finally, got ahold of someone and they arranged a tech visit about two weeks out. That tech was very professional and connection seemed to improve. Then I turned my attention to getting an online account setup. That became ANOTHER set of phone calls with multiple individuals until I had my Sparklight account number and was able to login. Then the debit card my autopay program was set up on expired. Tried to login to update my payment info, i.e. give Sparklight money. Couldn't remember my password. Clicked their password reset/recovery link. Security question came up. Wouldn't take my answer. Tried every possible combination of the answer I could think off. No luck. Called them again. Keep in mind, I"M TRYING TO PAY THEM MONEY. First call got a helpful rep who sadly couldn't help because it wasn't her department. Transferred me to a customer Service rep who asked me a couple of questions and then hung up on me. Called back. Got another helpful rep who sadly couldnt' help because it wasn't his department. Transferred me to a very unprofessional Customer Service rep who transferred me to his supervisor. THIRTY MINUTES later, still waiting. I've had both my electricity and gas transferred once to different companies. While not perfect experiences, they were LIGHTYEARS ahead of this company. Had my mortgage transfer companies twice with ZERO issues. Would NOT recommend Sparklight to anyone.
I dont reccomend.
I dont reccomend.. They are charging me for a euro device that i purchased from best buy . They did install it but now they are charging me for equiptment that i didnt buy from them after i cancelled the service!
Absolutely horrendous
Absolutely horrendous. So far, for five straight days, the internet has been constantly going out. And when it does work, it's super slow. And the worst part? They expect you to pay a crap tone of money just for internet alone, when the internet barely works. Don't bother with this dumpster fire of a company. I hope the CEO steps on two legos every time they turn the corner, so they can understand even a fraction of the inconvenience this company has caused.
Avoid at all costs, especially in MO.
Had Cable America for YEARS before sparklight bought them out. Since day one I have had outages daily. As of now, I have been without internet for 2 days. I work from home 3 days out of the week. Cable America's customer service was always friendly, and helpful. This new company is a joke. The app doesn't reflect payments. Luckily I have bank statements. Customer service is rude and Extremely unprofessional. The app features a chat option but not for Cable America customers. Poor service, zero customer service skills, zero help. I hope they get zero business. They've lost mine. Avoid this company at all cost!! Especially in MISSOURI!! Worst company ever. They make spectrum look Golden.
