Bought an SSD caddy
Bought an SSD caddy. What a great piece of kit. Well made with details considerably more than I expected. Even an inbuilt LED drive notification. Lockable, with 2 keys provided.
Highly recommended.

Startech agreed to replace my defective unit and even took my credit card but then decided not to. Did not honor their word.
Startech agreed to replace my defective unit and even took my credit card but then decided not to. Did not honor their word.
I used to think highly of Startech but my recent experience has changed all that. A company that does not honor their agreements cannot be trusted. I have a USB 3.0 eSATA Dual 3.5-Inch SATA III Hard Drive RAID Enclosure that started exhibiting bizarre behaviour with the LEDs. I contacted their tech support abount it and after wasting quite some time they could not explain it or tell me what the LEDs staying on meant.
They finally offered to replace the product and took my credit card number and details for an advance replacement. After waiting several days for the replacement I contacted them again and was advised that they had decided not to send me a replacement. Words cannot express my contempt for a company like that.

Dock kunne ikke bruges med 3TB disk trods de skriver den er testet op til 4TB
Købte en 2 drive USB dock og de skrev den var tester op til 4TB, så jeg havde ingen problemer med at købe den og 2 3TB diske.
Det viste sig så at den kun kunne bruge 800 GB af diskene - et problem som supporten godt vidste eksisterede.
De forsøgte sig med at sige det var på grund af at det var på en Mac, men problemet var der også hvis man brugte den på WIN. Så var det disken - ups det var to diske og hvis de blev sat direkte til en computer var der ingen problemer.
