Worst loan experience EVER!!!
This is an honest review…If you enjoy being stuck in and pointless endless loop of paperwork even after submitting a fabulous business case that contained all the information they needed…constant repeated requests for the same information, and waiting months for any kind of decision, then go right ahead with this bank!!!! I provided all the evidence they asked for—multiple times—only to be met with more forms and more delays about my startup business. Communication is very slow, and even vague, and unhelpful, leaving you constantly unsure where you really stand or when the questions will end!
Meanwhile, other lenders offered me straightforward, loans at better rates within a few days. I initially considered British Business Bank for the business mentoring support, but after this drawn-out, frustrating experience, I secured a loan in 2 weeks and never looked back!

Met all the criteria for approval and…
Met all the criteria for approval and beyond, but they were taking too long, after 2 months of back and forth, they wanted me to re-submit the evidence including a CV. My evidence proved i can afford the loan but they were acting incompetent and longing the process, so i declined it and went else where. My opinion, time wasters, incompetent looking at excel cashflow, not acting to criteria as per the websites info.

Where to begin?
Where to begin?! The process was appalling. Adam our “business advisor” was shocking. Initial call we were told he had everything hen needed and just a few more questions for us both. A few questions turned into months of back and forth of repeated questions! When we threatened to pull out suddenly it went to the panel to approve. What happened next was unbelievable. We had agreed a 6 months capital payment holiday at Adam’s suggestion. When the offer came through it didn’t state any capital repayment holiday. When queried why it wasn’t in there we were informed he had taken it out! No instruction to do so. When challenged a series of contradictory reasons were given before he was instructed to add back the repayment holiday which despite being told wouldn’t be approved it was. Hopefully not all “business advisors” are as shockingly inadequate as Adam

If you’re ever thinking that this would help you I cannot recommend it enough. The process was so simple and the guidance was really helpful and the financial provided was so helpful and on the other end of the phone through the whole process. Could not recommend it enough.

A Great Experience in the End!
At first, my experience was frustrating, and I previously shared a negative review. However, things turned around, and I was contacted again. Thanks to the incredible support and kindness of my loan advisor Mahdi, my application was finally approved! He was patient, professional, and always there to guide me through the process.
I’m truly grateful for the help I received, and I’m happy to say that the outcome was very positive. As a small business owner, this support means a lot. I’m now giving 5 stars and hope others have just as good an experience moving forward.

Fantastic experience from start to…
Fantastic experience from start to finish. Application process straight forward, business plan and cash flow forecast takes a long time to complete but this is vital to ensuring your business is viable. Contact was great, always same day or next day.
What I was surprised about was the efficiency. From application to having my loan approved was 2 weeks. Bear in mind that I was very on the ball with requests for further information and normally sent it within the hour. If your business idea is viable and you put together a detailed and comprehensive business plan then I don’t see how you could have experience.
Highly recommended.

Positive and Encouraging
I have had a wonderful experience with the fantastic and friendly team associated with Start Up Loans. My first point of contact was with the lovely April, who was kind and incredibly helpful with the advice she gave me in relation to the initial stages of the loan. She made a daunting experience less so and helped me tremendously with advice on the requirements of the initial loan. After the first stage of the application was completed it was passed on to the delightful and cheery Rekha, whose enthusiasm and drive were exactly what was required at such a vulnerable time. Rekha not only treated me with such care and kindness but showered me with so much respect and positivity that I felt undeserving of such treatment. There were times that I really was unsure about the business, never mind the actual loan but the reassurance offered to me not only kept me steady but provided me with so much encouragement that I began to believe in myself.
I have truly have had a wonderful experience working with Rekha and the team at Start up Loans, that I am sorry to see the end of application process.
I would highly recommend anyone considering a loan with the Start Up and are a little unsure on whether it is for them, to shake of those concerns and proceed with gusto. Not only will you be assigned with the capable and kind staff members, you'll also be provided with great advice.
I would also like to add that the repayment amount and time offered is very reasonable, especially compared to the other options out there. Please don't just take my advice, apply and see for yourself!
