I ordered some Oyster Riven Cladding tiles and when they came I was very happy with my purchase. Unfortunately I was a few boxes light due to my miscalculation when it come to measuring.

When my second order came the tiles where a totally different colour, I could believe the contrast was so bad. When I informed Stone Deals they said this was what happens with a different batch of the Oyster tile as it's natural stone. They never explained this to me when I ordered the tiles via telephone conversation and it certainly never explained this on their website.

They did offer to refund the tiles but they said I would have to pay for the delivery too their warehouse and they also wouldn't refund me for the initial delivery charge!

To say I'm extremely disappointed is a under statement. I would never use Stone Deals again and would recommended anyone else to take their business to Walls & Floors who knock spots of these guys.

I ordered Over 70m2 online on Saturday due to arrive on Tuesday. I heard nothing from the company until 4:40 on Monday afternoon to say That they only had 25m2 in stock.

If you only had 25m2 in stock why did your website accept my order of over 70m2 and why did you email me 20 minutes before you closed Monday afternoon.

I am awaiting there response today and I will update this review accordingly. If it doesn’t go well I’ll also leave further bad reviews on other web site and also my various blogs and twitter feeds.

Upon delivery the driver pushed us to sign and we were not able to check every single tile. Once we were able to check each one, we noticed a couple that were damaged. One broken one, and another which had a huge tumbled mark in the middle which had a yellow coloured centre (completely inconsistent with the rest of the tiles). I emailed stone deals straight away (within 60 mins of delivery) with photos and they said the damaged tiles could be utilised in places that are not seen.

The company also suggested that the damaged tiles should account for the extra 10% of tiles recommended the customer purchase. The main issue here is that the extra 10% recommended is supposed to account for the errors with fitting and NOT account for poor quality control from Stone Deals. They offered 50% refund on damaged tiles and called it a "goodwill gesture", and will not take accountability for the poor service. While we are happy with the refund, we would expect 100% refund for a product that they had included which was damaged and the other which is completely inconsistent with other tiles.

While we are happy with the look of the tiles and their prices are good, I am disappointed by the rude emails I received and the lack of accountability by this company.

Looking at the reviews here, I was a bit hesitant to order online but called the company, ordered 10m2 of travertine. The person on the phone was very helpful, explained all the procedures. The order arrived 3 days later. The transport company called me to book beforehand. The tiles came intact and as per the description and the photos on the website. Overall can't fault the company.

Totally unprofessional, don't even understand consumer rights or distant selling laws. They send you tiles with manufacturing defects that are probably seconds, and try to blame the couriers for damaging them when they are clearly nothing to do with transport. Then blame me for not checking pallets of hundreds of tiles individually before signing for the delivery as if the courier is going to wait for me. Their answer to this is to return the problem tiles back yourself for immediate replacement, when they are 2 hours away from me. After sending them photos, they say they will send replacements that never turn up. Really unhelpful and rude staff, including the manager that I dealt with.

ordered samples which were free then ordered the stone which was exactly like the samples. only 2 broken tiles from hundreds. great value will use again

The products are cheaper than other internet companies and the quality of the tiles are really good. The tiles arrived on time and they were as described. I would definitely use this company again.

I found the tiles I wanted for much less than we'd be paying on the high street on stonedeals.co.uk so I thought it was worth ordering them online. The problem came when we asked to have them delivered to our new house we're renovating but haven't moved into yet. Not possible they said, unless we paid by bank transfer. This wasn't an option as we didn't know the company and didn't want to leave ourselves without the protection that credit cards give you. So I opted to have them delivered to our current address and move them to the new house ourselves. Waited in on the day we'd arranged and got a call from a delivery company to arrange a day for delivery - annoying! They couldn't deliver that day of course, and the message to deliver hadn't been passed on. As I couldn't wait in another day, but someone would be at the new house the next day I managed to get special permission for them to deliver there the following day, but this is not normally allowed. The tiles are lovely, but on inspection, the bottom two in the pallet were cracked. No way we could have known this while the delivery driver was still there- he wasn't going to hang around while we emptied the whole stack of tiles and inspected each one. Not sure if stonedeals will replace them or not as they expect you to inspect at the point of delivery, even though we informed them the same day, with pictures of them still on the pallet.
