Absolutely loved ordering from Maise, definitely recommend.

A little shocked to hear some of the bad reviews on this because I really had a great experience! To be fair I ordered with plenty of time, wasn't rushed at all.

Maise replied quickly to the contact form I filled on her website for a custom order. We spoke via email and I gave her my measurements and colours I wanted for a jacket. I paid for the order end of April (and asked it be delivered latest end of July) and I received it (in Canada) in mid June. So a month and a half wait time, considering I gave her ample time.

I am over the moon with the results and I can't wait to wear this jacket at my wedding. This is a one of a kind garment and made custom so I appreciate the time it takes - keep that in mind when you order.

I ordered for my hen do and was promised my jacket would arrive on time. It wasnt even shipped. It's now 3 weeks late and i'm not getting any responses from the instagram or email

Recieved my amazing playsuit today, boxed and wrapped in pretty paper. I knew what it was the second I saw the pink packing tape on the box ❤️ I was so excited.

It's so awesome!!! Maisie kindly added extra ruffles on the back for me so I could continue to have bust support/bra underneath without showing the audience everything 😎

It's just wonderful and I can't wait to wear it at an upcoming gig ❤️ it's so extra!!! It's totally me and I even considered wearing it to the shops so I could show off the creation.

People leaving poor reviews. I know it's frustrating to have to wait for something especially if it's for a particular occasion but give the woman a break! These are hand made garments and I would rather wait than completely stress out an artist who is likely inundated with special requests and deadlines.

I ordered back in Oct/Nov knowing full well that it would take lots of time to create this hand made garment - my gig season starts in March. Whilst it would of course been fab to have it earlier, it certainly wasn't a deal breaker for me to make other wardrobe decisions.

It was 100% worth the wait and this will absolutely wow everyone ❤️ thanks Maisie xxx

I wanted a dress for my birthday last year and I was lied to for months regarding the status of my order. I ordered in November 2022 for my birthday in May 2023 and never received my dress- only excuses about the order being posted and a fake tracking number, which I only received after starting a claim on PayPal.
These are all beautiful designs but it’s not worth the risk of possibly never receiving your order.

Appalling seller. Bad communication. Dishonest. She tried everything in her power to keep the money for an item despite not delivering the item or communicating with the customer. More effort went into resisting giving me a refund than actually providing the item that was purchased.

I chased politely three times to get a shipping update when the item had not been dispatched in over a month.

Eventually I asked for a refund, to which the seller replied and said that everything is custom made and so therefore it was my fault it was late because I failed to read that in her bio.

I took it further to PayPal and simply said that I had not received the item and communication had broken down with the seller, so immediately got a refund.

That’s Sew Maisie then disputed the refund with PayPal and then that refund was cancelled. PayPal said I needed to get back in touch with the seller.

Wrote three emails which went unanswered.

Created a case with PayPal. A month later, they ruled in my favour and I received a refund.

The point is, she wants the money but doesn’t want to do the work, then thinks she can create enough obstacles so you can give up.

Thank god for buying through PayPal otherwise I never would have got a refund!

I ordered a jacket in July 2023. It is now the end of October and I still haven't received the item ordered. Communication is appalling. Emails go unanswered and when I have had a reply it's to say that delivery is imminent. It really isn't. I don't believe this item will ever arrive and now I'm locked in a battle with Klarna to get a refund. One if the most galling things about the process is that whilst she can't be bothered to answer my emails and actually get my order shipped to me, she is still posting on Instagram and sending marketing emails touting for business. Here's an idea Maisie, fulfill the orders you have before taking anymore money from more unsuspecting customers. Buy from this person at your peril.

Maisie has done two custom dresses for me with 0 issues she is absolutely amazing to deal with and so so so lovely. Beyond talented cannot recommend her work and service enough! Xx

Everyone in the room stopped me to say how amazing it looked and wanted to know where I'd bought it from. Arrived right on time (Maisie even went the extra mile to send it to the hotel I was staying at so I had it in time for the party). It remains the most exciting and well made piece in my wardrobe. I ordered 2 jackets on the 5th of June during one of her 20% sales. It took 3 months to receive 1 of the jackets. During that period of time, she had 2 more sales and kept giving excuses for not shipping my order in a timely manner. When I finally received my order, there was only 1 jacket included. I contacted her straight away and said she would follow up. I had to message her again as she had forgotten and she told me that the second jacket was in a separate shipment, but that for some reason there was no proof of it being shipped, therefore she would have to re-make it. I've asked for a refund instead as it's now been 4 months since my initial order and I haven't heard back from her in 2 weeks.

Ordered the cropped tulle jacket for my wedding. Messaged Maisie to enquire about additional colours as I was hoping for a dark green that wasn’t on the website and got a reply straight away with the colour I hoped for! Jacket arrived within a few weeks of ordering and looked amazing. Got so many compliments on it during the day and loved wearing it as such a statement piece!

Absolutely love my white boa - was such a great statement piece for my hen do! Communication was a bit difficult just after I’d ordered (I sent a few emails to check whether it would definitely arrive in time), but once I contacted via DM I got a response straight away. Other than that though, would defo recommend!

So, firstly you probably won't get a reply via email, best only to try to contact her via Instagram. There's a lot of comments on her photos chasing up order updates and I was one of them. I had to chase up my order after 3 months (nothing custom, 2 basic pieces from her website) and it took another 4 weeks for my order to be sent after a few promises that it would be "latest next week" or "within the next day or so". I was getting concerned as the order is my wedding dress which I specified. I was honestly getting worried that it was a scam because I had to insist my order be sent before last weekend even after requesting it be sent by a specific date. The dress is a bit snug, even having sent my specific measurements and part of the dress is poorly cut, its all wonky. The jacket is nice but I did request a mix of 2 colours (in the designated section to do so on the website) but the jacket arrived just one colour. When I opened my order, the clothes were just shoved into a big box. I get that you can't exactly fold a big tulle dress but if I was charging a large amount of money for hand sewn clothes, I would have wrapped the garments in tissue paper, put a business card in there, tried to make the experience a bit special somehow. The lack of communication is a concern and requests are overlooked (like the two tone colour request and the message I sent about a specific address to be delivered too which was agreed to but not actually done) I had to go across the country for a funeral, luckily when tracking my order I noticed the postcode was wrong so had to divert it. Just overall a lot of stress. She has offered to replace my order but I've only just received it and my wedding day is in 2 weeks. I politely declined because I'm not going through all that again. Completely disappointing. Making sure everyone stays wary of this company.

Beware of ordering from this company, seller is very unresponsive. Unaware the item takes weeks to make I asked for a refund - still no refund provided on paypal- Now the seller has cancelled the refund and I have to wait until JULY TO GET £80 back!

I went to her with 3 weeks to my 21st. After a previous designer pulling out, she came to my rescue! She made my vision real! Im completely obsessed with the outcome! Made my Birthday 10000 x more special!!

I wanted to order a jacket badly for my wedding so I waited patiently for the shop to reopen, checking daily and setting up the email alerts. Finally the shop reopened and I ordered the custom 2 tone jacket. Communication was easy (via yahoo mail on iMessage) and order came in time for my given deadline of just over 2 months, with me just chasing an update a week before. Really happy with the service considering what other amazing celebrity outfits and tour show pieces she’s making at the same time and the value for money is insane. Totally made the day thank you

SLOW!!
I placed my order for a festival after speaking to Maisie first to check there would be time for it to arrive. I know it says a 19day turn around but understand handmade garments can often take longer. She said 3months was plenty of time so I went ahead and placed my order. Until it came to the festival and after all manner of excuses to my exchanges with her it never arrived in time. Finally after almost 5months from placing my order and ALOT of chasing it’s only when I filed a refund with my bank that things started to progress. It then finally arrived again much later than she kept promising despite me being very patient with her.
On first inspection I thought it was a bit rough around the edges with white thread hanging everywhere and wobbly sewn lines but to give her credit the outfit fit greats and looks banging on.
I would say be prepared for a monthly wait and slow communication (I do get she’s probably busy trying to get on top of orders than replying) if your planning on ordering. A quick update of her website to state realistic time frames and being honest with customers if their garments aren’t going to be ready for their deadlines so they can plan something alternative would work wonders and help manage customers expectations rather than being filled with false promises and them getting a bit miffed wondering if their items will ever turn up at all.
