easy ordering and perfect delivery. very good quality all round

Excellent quality composite door, excellent finishing and excellent booking experience. Price was lower than other many companies in the market and I have saved in my order more than £250. More details: after I made the design through their web, i choose to pay via monthly payments and in a few seconds I got approved, then I paid £60 deposit, received confirmation emails, then the following day i received call and email to confirm the survey date, then once it was done, I received email with the final design and specifications to confirm it, 5 weeks later I got the door with fully installed in about 3 hours. I used to have pvc door which very old more than 20 years and we used to have cold air coming from the bottom and we can hear every sound and noise outside of our house, now, with this new door, our house became very quite and very comfortable atmosphere! Really appreciate this company; as they showed us how they are very professional and very organized with their system and process until delivery the product.

Having contacted Carla at Timber Composit Doors (TCD) for advice, she assisted my wife and I in completing the online door order process. We naturally had a couple of queries and Carla was at the end of a phone to assist. We placed an order and the process was efficient from the start to the installation.
TCDs works closely with Martindales (Installation Company), The joint administration between both companies was faultless!

Helpfull guys, good team, willing to cooperate

Unfortunately the fitters damaged my car during the installation and I only noticed the damage as they were reversing off of my drive. I reported this to Martindales straight away but their response has been extremely poor. Based on my experience so far I would not engage with either party again and would urge others to avoid.

Had a newfront door fitted 5 years ago, recently there was a slight fault on either the locking mechanism or the lock, both were swapped out without any quibble or fuss and I'm a very satisfied customer. I rarely leave reviews, but this experience absolutely warranted a 1-star rating.

I ordered a Solidor front door with installation through Timber Composite Doors and arranged the survey via their installer, Martindales. Prior to ordering, I used their online chat as I had a few questions. I was assured that any remaining queries could be addressed during the installation survey.

However, when the fitter arrived, the experience took a turn for the worse. I began asking a couple of small but important questions—such as whether it would work to hinge the door on the left side. Before I could even finish, he abruptly cut me off, saying, "I’m just here to do the survey, not answer questions." While I understand some questions might have been outside his scope, his attitude was unprofessional, dismissive, and frankly, sarcastic.

I also asked whether any damage caused during installation would be made good, and he brushed it off, remarking that a cracked piece of plaster was already like that. No direct answer—just more of the same unhelpful attitude. He clearly couldn’t wait to leave.

For something costing nearly £2.5k, this was incredibly disheartening and completely took the shine off the purchase. It left me concerned about what kind of support I’d receive if there were future issues—especially given that Martindales also handle the warranty.

I raised my concerns with Timber Composite Doors, and while they said a complaint would be raised, I ultimately decided to cancel the order. You would think that once I had communicated the experience I had, they would have been the ones to offer a refund for the survey. However, the fact they didn’t shows I probably made the right decision cancelling. I would rather lose £60 than risk 10 years of dealing with this company.

It’s easy to shift blame to Martindales, but the poor communication regarding the survey expectations came directly from Timber Composite Doors. More importantly, they chose Martindales as their installer and should take responsibility for that partnership.

Disappointing service all around. Would not recommend.

Brilliant company, very easy and straight forward process from beginning to end. We were able to design the door to our preference using the website. The surveyor was helpful and knowledgeable. Was easy to book, there was no pressure on us. On the day the installers were very respectful and did a great job. Would definitely recommend this company.

Excellent service and great installation. The process of changing the details of the door was very easy. The site visit prior to installation was very reassuring. Installation engineers did an excellent job. very satisfied witht he whole process, would recommend your company to friends.

Quality from start to finish. Everything went really smoothly from ordering to survey to fitting. Loving the quality of the materials and workmanship of the installers. Went for the thumb turn lock which is the best thing ever no more looking for keys to open the door. Would totally recommend this product.

Best new front door company online!!! Great choice of doors, masses of adjustments and options to choose from and Nick honoured the discount code we had even though it had just expired while searching for variations. The online website is also quite fun to visualise what door you could get. We ran several quotes before we zoomed in on the one we like the best!!! MartinDales fitters came measured and then did a perfect job - couldn’t find a single fault with the workmanship and they were great guys! Definitely choose the installation option as their gutters are amazing! Door quality is brilliant and solidor is a top notch brand for doors.

We've just moved into a house, lots of work needed, and we're doing a load of it ourselves, but I just didn't think that fitting our own door would be a good idea - not one to our house, not our first door fitting (husband has done them at work, but with me as his helper, could have gone wrong!). We also needed one with a pet flap attaching. I wanted a composite door, not a UPVC one. One company told us that you can't put a pet flap in a composite door. I'm glad I didn't listen.

I picked a colour that would help lift the drabness of the decor in this house, everything is grey and white - everything!!! We picked peacock blue, and it's lovely. The pet flap was fully fitted by the guys that came.

They've done a great job fitting it - looks really good, and I'm very grateful that they put the pet flap on, I thought we had to do that.

Now.... the fitters were 5/5, however, when they arrived, and before fitting, they noticed that it wasn't to order. I had requested a low flush threshold, and it wasn't. I may live to regret this - but with all the tradesmen that have been in and out of our house in the last two months, I just wanted it done and finished - plus the cat asking to come in at 3am (it's very sweet, he sings outside the door, and fortunately for him, I'm a light sleeper!).

The fitters were from Martindales, very prompt, left the place nice and tidy.

Door was fitted today and it is better than expected. Has made a massive difference and we are delighted with it

All staff members were cheerful and very competent.
The delivery driver also good at his job.
Full marks all round!
