A really helpful company making great products to a very high standard.

Helpful in guiding us through the product range, and worked with us to arrange delivery at times that worked for us. Product quality is great, but did need a bit of time for assembly. Instructions were good, and made the build process mistake free!

Brilliant shed, even better customer service. It's a lovely piece of kit that looks nice on the patio (bolted to a slab) and has a very smooth opening action. Get one. If you've got more room/money, get two.

The product itself (ramped protect a cycle) is made of top quality materials, I was very pleased with it, but why I really wanted to leave a 5 star review wasn't just because of that, it was because of the excellent customer care service I received (thanks Donna). I was kept updated at every stage of the order and can't remember receiving better service from a company in a long time, Roger, Guernsey.

I have never written a TP review but felt compelled to do so about Trimetals as the product and service are so appalling.

I purchased a metal bike box from them as I thought spending somewhere around £700 would mean a quality product. How wrong I was. Materials low grade and when built the final bike box is flimsy.

The advertised product says it easily fits three to four adult bikes. What a total lie. It barely fit one adult bike and two small kids bikes.

When I write to the company to point out some of these issues I was met with total silence.

All in all I would steer well clear of Trimetals.

A great product, well boxed on delivery, accurately manufactured, concise instructions, plenty of fixings and looks good. Very pleased with it.

I bought a Trimetals garden shed some years ago and recently contacted the company (2 February) for assistance on supplying some materials. The enquiry was initially dealt with promptly and I provided additional details together with photographs. Since then despite sending hasteners the trail has gone cold. This is not the sort of customer experience I would expect from Trimetals. Judging by other negative reviews on this site I am not expecting a response from the company to this review as they only appear to respond to positive reviews. Post Review Comments - Trimetals have reached out to me regarding this issue and explained the position. They have now set in train the actions necessary to resolve this. I am grateful to their quick response to the review and have amended my overall assessment accordingly.

We purchased a bunker for our caravan. We were delighted to store our outdoor furniture etc inside.
We soon realised that the bunker floor was absorbing moisture from the ground even though it was standing in some flagging.
I contacted Trimetals Ltd who have been totally amazing. I sent photos and they quickly acknowledged that the bunker has been erected correctly and skilfully.
Without further ado Trimetals sent some metal flooring and membrane.
SUCCESS!

United States resident who purchased the Bikestore from The Home Depot via Bosmere. Flat pack delivered with two panels with minor dents. It took five hours for 1.5 people to put it together at a methodical pace. Instructions were thorough though not as foolproof as IKEA, but always warns you when you need to pay particular attention. The shed is sturdy, handsome, has an efficient footprint, the door opens and closes smoothly, I am so very happy with the finished product.

Just bought a ProtectaCycle bike store. It was all-in-all a fairly disappointing initial experience.

Cons:
- The store is delivered as a flatpack self-assembly item. I don’t think TriMetals are upfront enough about that important fact and at this price it should be delivered as a finished unit.
- The floor (an essential component) is charged as an extra
- Despite what TriMetals and some other customers say, assembly is DIFFICULT. I hired an experienced handyman to help me put the store together and it took us over seven hours across two days!
- The instructions are complex and unclear in places. Some of the parts are indicated as fitting in places which don’t match their position in online photographs of the finished store.
- The instructions don’t include any help at all outside the basic structure so if, for example, you buy the floor or the drop-down access ramp option, there are NO instructions on how to incorporate those elements into the structure.
- Likewise there are no instructions on how to attach the front latches which allow you to lock the store with the padlocks (which are included)
- You have to drill holes through the metal to attach the front latches (TriMetals provide a special drill bit for this purpose), so in effect the product is supplied unfinished which is disappointing.
- The padlocks do not have matching keys so to lock/unlock the store and the internal security cable you need to carry three new, additional keys.
- Although it’s claimed that the store accommodates three adult bicycles it’s difficult to fit in more than two, particularly if you also want to store other bits and pieces (e.g. helmets, panniers, etc.).
- In hindsight I think it is over-priced.

Pros:
- The completed store looks good.
- It seems solid and secure.
- I’m sure six months down the line once I’ve forgotten about the assembly nightmare and the cost I’ll be happy with the product (I may replace the locks with one that share a single key).

The staff were very helpful I had a problem with the door handle which they replaced very helpful good service.

We ordered 24 months ago, during covid. Obviously delivery was delayed, but this was not the companies fault it was happening country wide due to isolation. We were kept updated. Well it finally arrived. My husband is well impressed with it. Got it put together with help of son. No problems. All kitted out with gardening tools, garden cushions during winter, lawnmower and garden chairs. No rain gets in so all safe. He is so happy with it he recommends to everyone.

The online ordering was simple enough and the delivery was on schedule. I had a new concrete base created for the shed to sit on and I asked the builders to erect the shed. The assembly instructions are poor and as there are many bolts and screws to install the work is quite fiddly. Unfortunately, two of the parts supplied were incorrect and were from another model. It was possible erect the shed but due to the incorrect items there was a slight water ingress. Following contact with Trimetals their engineer, Terry, visited within a week and installed the correct parts - which virtually entailed rebuilding the shed. Since then (June 2021) the shed has been watertight as far as I can tell. My observations are that firstly the assembly instructions could and should be far better for such an expensive product, the wooden floor (would be better if it was metal) should be included as standard rather than an extra purchase. The door lock seems to be quite flimsy and is similar to that found on a metal locker. So, notwithstanding the above am happy with my shed, it looks like a “traditional shed” and I am certain that it is more durable than the wood variety and will last for many years. I have marked my review with 5 stars due to the prompt response to the incorrect part issue otherwise it would have been 4.

There was a long wait for my storage units but I got them eventually , they are very good just as described and very strong I am happy with my purchase

Excellent product, very sturdy and exactly what we expected. Worth the money for the quality

The product itself came with two items in the wrong colour, and was missing another piece entirely. After trying to reach out to the customer support for over six months, we have given up. They claim to have contacted the distributor on the one occasion we got through and have heard nothing back since, about 3-4 months ago.

With the missing piece it is possible to take the unit apart as it was a security piece and steal our bikes. Not worth the cost at all considering it’d be just as safe under a tarp at this point.

Edit- it was not a fault on Trimetals, but the seller, buyshedsdirect, that had the horrid customer service, and constantly rebuffed attempts to correct the items. Thus far Trimetals has gone above and beyond to attempt to rectify the problem that they themselves had not been at fault for, and immediately reached out to help with the described issues.
Update- within 3 days of supplying them with the information on the parts required, we received them in the post and were able to fix the shed immediately.

Regarding the shed itself- it works perfectly as described. It's solid, good-looking, and was not terribly difficult to assemble with two people on our own. I would buy from them again, but not through buyshedsdirect!
