Asked for a long wheelbase high top vehicle, was informed they had one, I must admit I was in a rush, but in the office I said no way that's a long wheelbase its a medium, I was due to clear a property that's why I asked for a long wheelbase, drove 25 miles to collect it, the lady said, that's how they make a long wheelbase now, it's definitely a long wheelbase.! It was absolutely a medium wheelbase not big enough for the job by a long way. When a called to complain, they did not care one jot, and offered me another van which they called a "jumbo" which was again the same medium based van! Apparently udrive call the vans their own up made up category not what they are listed as by the manufacturer! So be careful if you need a large van, you will get a medium. Had hired for 7 days, taking it back the same day! What a waste of time and money! Never again, and by the amount one 1 star reviews wish I had checked first!!

I’ve been using u drive for my business since 2016. Over the time everything has slipped to be a ‘head office’ enterprise rather than local branch experience. I’ve had so many occasions that the Bristol depot have missed things but I’ve had a good flowing relationship with the team and their manager. This isn't about them but about the office that manages them. I’ve put up with under inflated tyres, no ad blue in vehicles, engine lights on, broken clutches, dirt vehicles etc but I’ve never complained. As soon as I damage the vehicle above windscreen level they overcharge by £300 for repair which I had quoted by an amazing local business. I understand authorised repairers etc and of course I understand my liability but I’ve never ever seen a van repaired in nearly a decade so I’m paying £700 for a minor dent that doesn’t justify the charge. This is a depreciation charge way beyond the price tag. I’m sorry to say I’d avoid using this company and opt for smaller companies. They have no longer got their customers at the forefront of their business model. It’s now about money and lacking customer service completely governed by head office. Every correspondence with head office is passive aggressive, lacking in addressing the actual issues I’ve had but also is dismissive. AVOID!

Great service from ty and couldn’t recommend the team at udrive any more. Vans were clean and tidy and up to date, reasonable price as well

Great service from the Southampton team. Booked a tipper truck online and dropped into the office the day before hire to complete the licence checks and general information. As a result, the pick up was speedy and efficient.

Vehicle was almost brand new, so everything worked perfectly.

Will definitely be using on a regular basis over the coming year.

I hired two vans over two weekends. U Drive has super helpful and friendly staff and were a pleasure to rent from. Both vehicles were clean and in great condition. The second hire was a bit of a faff as my details weren’t available from the previous weekend, I had to do all the identification stuff again. Hire rates are reasonable and it’s cheaper to book over the internet than book on the phone. A few days after returning the van I received a ‘vehicle inspection sheet’ detailing red items (potentially charged to me) some items had not been pointed out to me when I collected the van. Although the e mail states ‘ This does not mean that you will be automatically charged…’ there were no follow up emails confirming I’m was not to be charged. I found this potential liability for damage I hadn’t done, with no follow up or closure quite stressful. Apart from that, all good and U Drive are my first choice for vehicle hire in Bristol.

From start to finish pleasure to deal with. they have never let us down and we will use them for all our van requirements in the future.

Very good rates really good service. If you’re doing over 250 miles, you may have to consider a competitor as they do charge for mileage over 250. The Transit van was in excellent condition and a joy to drive. Staff were friendly and helpful. Also opening Sunday morning at 8:30 was a real bonus. The reason I haven’t given five stars is because of the cost of increased mileage over 250 and also because a report was made where it was unclear as to whether I may have to pay for damage to the vehicle until they checked the vehicle log history for previous damage. I think it would be better if they simply provide a final report rather than in an interim one that may cause concern.

Helpful, courteous and efficient customer service. One of the only hire companies open on a Sunday which was really helpful as I could not return the van Monday morning due to work. Good price. Thorough check of dents/scuffs etc before driving off. Would definitely use again.

They were out of the selected vehicle class, so they called me in advance to ensure I agreed to the upgrade. No issues with the van, pickup and drop off very smooth.

U-Drive Petheridge Way, Bristol is my go to for car hire, they’re a friendly bunch and they’re pretty knowledgeable about the Premier League. I highly recommended this service.

Excellent service from beginning to end. Very informative when requesting information regarding hiring trucks. We ordered two 7.5 tonne vans to assist us with moving home. Arrangements were made to get another one on site as only one was available at the branch we ordered from. Both vans waiting for us on the day, excellent cancellation policy, and really friendly staff, so helpful. Thanks for making a stressful time run smoothly.

I hired a van from the Cardiff Depot rover way, the whole process went extremely well. It took less than 10 minutes to process the hiring, and less than 10 minutes to process the return. My deposit was returned straight away upong checking everything ok and the van returned safely.
The staff at the depot were extremely cheerful, helpful and professionals, thank you for making the experience pleasant. I would definitely recommend U-Drive and use their services again.

Picked up a car to visit family the process was quick and straight forward and the return was the same, the staff are super friendly too. I had Toby doing the return checks and he was nice and efficient. Will defo be coming back at some point :)

Flew into Bournemouth on a Sunday afternoon, the only open car hire place we could find was u-drive. Booked a car over the phone, efficient and easy. When we got to the Poole office on Sunday it was very busy with 2 members of staff on the desk. Both were good humoured and dealt with everything quickly and efficiently. We were last to be served by Ella who couldn't have done more to help as I had forgotten to get my DVLA number and it took us an absolute age to find my national insurance number. When we fly to Bournemouth again we will use them again, even if the more convenient airport rental agencies are open.
