An insult to sellers and creators. Only 2%?

Hello I am both a pass holder and a seller on UI8

My product has 8 pass downloads of which I have made $3.84 from
That’s 0.48c per download for something I have listed for $24

Paying the creators only a mere insignificant 2% for all is absolutely unethical and a joke - they are basically giving away their work for nothing.

Having paid a whopping $523.56 AUD for my year pass I know you can afford to pay the creators more for their work and still profit off the pass.

I am sure the data will back that pass holders do not download products to the full extent of the pass. They do not need or use 40 downloads a day, most pass holders would have around 60 downloads for the whole year - though I am sure you have the data on the average. It’s like a gym membership, some members go every day, some members go once a month. Or insurance, some people make claims, some don’t, they profit from those who make no claims and can be at a loss for those who do but as a whole, they are in profit as more people don’t make claims.

the % payout for pass downloads to the creators should be AT LEAST 10% - ideally at least 20%. 2% is insulting. a $24 product deserves at least $2.40c which is still incredibly insignificant.

People are basically getting 30 hours of my work, for free, at my hourly rate of $100 an hour, I would need to make $3000 in sales to cover the efforts.
At 0.48c per download for pass holders
that’s 6,250 downloads to cover the costs.

My pass is AUD 523.56 a year
Let’s say I downloaded 60 assets for that entire year as a freelance designer
on average the creator gets 50c
Out of my $523.56 pass, the total $ gone to the creators of those downloads is… $30 … what the...
The creators get $30and you get $493.56 for all their hard work. that does not sound right, does it?

So please increase the % payout to creators for pass downloads or give the creators the option to turn pass downloads off.

As a pass holder, I now feel unethical taking creator's hard work when they get nothing in return.

I bought what looks to be a fantastic…

I have now upgraded them to three stars as the have had better communication and have refunded my payment.

Original review as follows.

I bought what looks to be a fantastic product (Trinity 3D Kit). However, it is not compatible with c4d without a cost prohibitive add-on (Octane Renderer), rendering my purchase useless. Unfortunately they did not mention this at the outset, if they had I would not have purchased. UI8, have all but disappeared, not answering my requests on the site, or Facebook. Disappointed beyond comprehension. Based on customer service and not being willing to review the case, I would AVOID! save yourself the hassle with dealing with a company like this.

Moyen, renouvellement automatique sans avertissement

Le service en soi est bon, mais malheureusement il n'y a pas de possibilité de Refund. D'autant plus qu'il y a un renouvellement automatique de 139€ sans vraiment d'avertissement.
Dommage.

Last month I developed a pack of 3D icons and try to sell it using the website UI8. The website clearly states that authors receive 70% or more of all sales. The author registration page also says: get 70% on every individual sale and 90% on exclusive sales. In fact, it turned out that everything was wrong.

As it turned out, UI8 users with an unlimited subscription can download your file and you will receive 2% of the product price for this. And since most of the UI8 users have this subscription, then most likely you will share your work for virtually free. The most interesting thing is that tech support was never able to provide me with a page on their website with information about these conditions. Instead, in response to my proposal to write on my own about these rules on popular design sites, my account was blocked and they said that I threaten them :) Also, it seems, they decided to insult me ​​for being from Russia. Dear UI8, I, like the absolute majority of Russians, are peace-loving people who want to earn by honest work. I'm not responsible for someone's actions, but I don't want to be deceived by respected resources for designers.

My work was exhibited for $ 36, and in the end it was downloaded by 5 people by subscription, which brought me $3. But I'm banned for the truth and won't even get that.

UI8 claims that 85% of revenue comes from personal sales and only 15% is from subscription downloads. It turns out that in order to get $100 (the minimum amount available for withdrawal), you need 3 people to pay the real amount ($36 (the author's income is 70%)) and about 20 people got this job actually for free.

I do not dissuade anyone from working with this service, but I believe that the truth should not be hidden from the authors, especially this information is very important. Good luck to all!

UI8.net answered but it's not a true. I did't asked to delete my account. I asked how i can delete my account. To know how i do that if i go to other platform. And UI8.net just deleted me. But i received Payment already.

UI8 is one of the few digital stores that get's it rite. They've done a fantastic job at serving up some of the best design assets that money can buy. Their customer service is top notch, and they respond promptly & professionally should you ever need them. They truly deserve 6 stars, but 5 stars will do. Thanks UI8! *cheers*

A great website

A great website. i had problem with download a file, and i tried to talk their support and thats amazing :| in 10 secs they answered and solved the problem, just amazing. beside that, they have very excellent tools for designers, with high quality, for free, what a lovely website :))

Terrible service

I bought one unlimited pass in 2017. I discovered that my account cannot be used normally last week. I have tried to contact online customer service many times. Finally, a customer service called Eli blocked my account directly. So terrible! This account has always been my personal use. I paid money for you! Why you blocked my account! I
