Do not use Unique Estate agents, they were made aware of our timings and did nothing to help promote our property. There was no communication at all not even an update until I rang again! Not impressed with their uncaring service and would most definitely not recommend!

Unique managed the sale of my aunt's property in Bispham. Despite 3 buyers changing there mind the Thornton team managed all viewings and kept us informed of progress and issues with regular phone calls. The team were proactive and provided sound advice.
Highly recommend.

I really wanted to wait til completion to fully review the whole experience but…..
I’ll start by saying yes… someone bought the house but they would have bought it regardless of where or who listed it. (I know unique will state that they sold the house but they did not, some one bought the house…. Very different!!)

You are tied into a 16 week contract and they WILL NOT consider dual agency. They have you over a barrel and they know and use that!!

Amongst a plethora of fails, I lost my dream house in between Unique and the alternative selling agent. It took 2 months for the buyers solicitor to raise enquiries enquiries. Not the estate agents fault you may say…. Until you find out that said estate agents was asked to chase buyers solicitor THREE TIMES!!!

Turns out buyers had desired completion date of 9 weeks 😂😂 no one knew this other than sellers themselves. I would thing that the agent who had negotiated the deal should know this?

Unique have shown zero pro active behaviours. The did not SELL the house, someone bought it and any and all proactive actions were instigated by myself. Eg price reductions, new pictures, featured listings etc)

Even after a complaint where they were completely disinterested in any of my concerns, the lack of anything pro active persists.

I have asked for. Reduction in fee based on the above and they have declined.

I do not recommend this estate agent at all in any circumstances.

Save yourselves and just go for Purple Bricks or definitely an agent that doesn’t tie you in because they can’t sell your house quickly. You will have a better experience.

We used Unique estate agency in Thornton-Cleveleys for the sale of our property and the branch in Kirkham for the purchase of our new home.
My wife and I would like to give a special mention to Dominique from the Thornton-Cleveleys branch and Karen Fenton from Kirkham who went above and beyond to support us through our conveyancing journey which was a bit of a roller coaster!Thanks also to Laura and Ben at Kirkham.

The service we received was excellent and very professional. The promotion for the sale of our property was first class, including special features in the local press and social media links across a range of platforms.
We would have no hesitation in recommending Unique estate agency.

We chose Unique as we had friends who have previously sold and purchased homes with them.

We were selling and also required some financial advice.

I could not fault the service we received, from the initial valuation, photo’s of our home and the financial advice we received I would highly recommend.

We visited both the Fleetwood and Thornton Offices and everyone we encountered were very professional and friendly.

Just be careful, I've found that they lied about some information saying I'd said something I hadn't so they could keep the holding fee after telling us we had the property 100%

★☆☆☆☆ – Unprofessional and Stressful Experience

I had an extremely disappointing experience with Unique Estate Agency. I applied for a rental property listed at £1,600 per month and was fully prepared to pay six months’ rent upfront, as I run my own business and work hard to ensure my finances are in order.

At first, they told me the house was mine, and I even paid a deposit. Then suddenly, they changed their mind and said I wasn’t getting the property. When I politely asked for an update about the deposit, one of the staff claimed I was being aggressive — which was completely false and uncalled for.

That was over three weeks ago, and I’m still dealing with the aftermath. I’m now receiving emails saying I owe bills for a house I never got, calls from SKY trying to set up internet in my name, and other people contacting me thinking I live there — even though the agency has officially refused me the property.

The whole situation has been stressful, unprofessional, and unacceptable. It seems like they have very poor communication and internal processes. I strongly urge anyone thinking of using Unique Estate Agency to be extremely careful with giving them your money or personal details.

This whole experience needs to be addressed

Unique were great my myself and my partner when buying our first home. Julie helped us every step and was very friendly and efficient with any requests and questions through the whole process. Would recommend to anyone when buying a property.

The St Annes office were very friendly, helpful, good communicators and knowledgeable about property in their area. Sent "actually interested viewers", provided feedback in all cases and updated us throughout the sale and purchase process

I recently used the services of Unique Estate Agents for seeking out a Rental property for me. I can only say the service was exceptional. The staff sourced my requirements perfectly and referred me to a fabulous property in the centre of Poulton.
The process was was quick professional and I would recommend to my friends.

Very disappointed in Unique Estate Agency, we made an offer with Emily for a bungalow and was told for over a week that they had not been able to get in touch with the owner. We drove past today and saw another family who also viewed the property moving in. My mother is in a terrible situation and needs to move in with my family urgently and we wasted over a week and was lied to, we even offered to pay 6 months up front. Emily does not understand the consequences of her actions on vulnerable people. Shame on them.

Where do I start… we went to view a rental property, it was empty,we felt rushed on the viewing and the agent kept checking their watch. We let them know a few days later that we would like to apply for the property, they dragged their feet, no organisational skills at all. We eventually were told it was ours to move into. 2 weeks before we were due to move, after we had paid and booked movers and done redirection of our mail etc, we were told the property was still in probate!! For those who don’t k ow, it is against the law for a property to be sold or rented while still in probate. This landlord wasn’t technically the landlord and did not own the property and was still in someone else’s name!! Unique claimed ignorance, turns out it has been in probate since last year. In my opinion a good agency would ask the person wanting to rent or sell a property if they actually owned the property and would ask for proof!! Either this wasn’t done or they knew and were complicit!! Please a void this agency for your own mental health.

I have sold property through Unique, used services they have recommended, and many family and friends have been and seen Suzanne regarding mortgages. I have been more than impressed with the support and help from all staff, the service is No1. I highly recommend them, from every communication the team has truly cared.

Brilliant service. I was looking to rent a property and I had a few issues getting in contact with the landlord. The estate agents were all lovely and so patient with me even though I probably called them a hundred times.

Im not someone who usually leaves reviews howevr I have been left with a sour taste. I have been viewing properties for approximatley a year now and I have had varying degrees of estate agents, some great, some poor and some as expected. It has been a stressful year with other things going on including trying to get onto the property ladder. I went to view a property being sold through Unique. I was shown around the property in 4 to 5 minutes, the tenant was in the property whilst viewing it so I felt as though I couldn't look in cupboards, open windows, tests the taps etc because I felt as though I was disturbing them. The agent that showed me round did not seem interested and concluded the viewing by telling me that they had to go to another house for a buyer to measure up, giving me the impression that she was only interested in houses that had been sold and wasn't interested in a first time buyer on a lower budget. I feel as though I was being an inconvenience to the agent despite changing my schedule to fit in with the estate agent as they were unable to show me round the property when I initially wanted. Compare it with today's viewing from amother estate agents where the agent showed me round then let me look around again in my own time and every question I asked was answered. World's apart.

Unique estate agents please avoid at all cost, Constantly lied through the process of buying our property which today we had to pull away from 4 days befor ment to move in .

2 weeks before we was meant to move we only found out there was a tenant living in the property which no one told us at all and we were told nothing but lies for the process slow at given in the paperwork to our solicitors. Never return phone calls and only replied to 1 email from our solicitor's.

Taking it to the ombudsman and reporting them to the trading standards.

Placed our property on the market with unique on 29th of July 2021 signed a sole agency agreement Big Mistake was told by Sam we had a 14day cooling off period nothing about paying a fee of £600 should we withdraw the property from the market. Contract to be posted for us to view at our leisure did not happen as we would have picked this issue up underhanded to say the least.
We viewed numerous properties with no success we also had no success finding a local Solicitor UNIQUE were adamant that we should use a Solicitor they recommended based in Guildford Surrey we decided to withdraw our property from the market on the 17th August 2021 that is when we were told about the £600.NOTHING IN WRITEING FROM UNIQUE FOR THREE WEEKS WHY .Low and behold on August 18th we RECIEVED AN INVOICE DEMANDING £600.Which we could pay over the phone no chance
On phoning their office and informing them that we had recieved no contract and would pay no money until such time as we had GUESS WHAT on August 18th NOT ONE CONTRACT ARRIVED BUT TWO NOT ADDRESSED TO MY WIFE AND I BUT TO OUR ADDRESS. We know we have to pay this money otherwise it affects our credit history .We just don't want anyone else to fall into this trap.
DO NOT SIGN A SOLE AGENCY CONTRACT PUT YOUR PROPERTY ON THE MARKET WITH SEVERAL AGENTS MAKE SURE YOU TELL EACH AGENT THAT WAY YOU ONLY PAY COMMISION TO THE ONE THAT SELLS YOUR PROPERTY.WE NOW KNOW WHY PEOPLE HAVE SUCH A LOW OPINION OF ESTATE AGENTS+--

We needed to sell our home quickly and the house builder we bought from recommended Unique.
Marketing was good. They took great photos of the house, shared in on social, put it on Rightmove etc.
They didn’t handle viewings well. They couldn’t book them in quickly enough and we had at least three cancel viewings before they had seen our house to buy something else. In the end we did our own viewings and got an offer from the first one. Then two more offers when that one fell through.
Once the sale was agreed we heard very little from Unique. Tried to call to see what was happening and when we could get through got “notes from the system” or promise of a call back. Mostly we spoke to our solicitor to find out what was happening.
The first we heard of a completion date from them was on the day we were moving to ask what we were doing with the keys 🙁
Had I wanted to chase the sale myself and do my own viewings I would probably have chosen an online estate agent. Of the three parts of this process (marketing, sales, after-sales) they did one very well and two poorly.
I was told I should be happy that I sold my house for only £3k under the asking price and not worry about the rest.
