The location of the house sits high above Trebarwith Strand beach. The house works very well for a large family or friends. One has a sense of the outdoors when in the house because the view is spectacular. The beach is a sandy beach which is great for children. It is a cove beach so only during low tide is it accessible. The house is immaculately presented and well equipped.

Really easy booking experience (lovely website and plenty of information). The property was beautiful and we are already planning our next stay.

We had a wonderful 3 night stay in Penny Blacks in Devon and will definitely return to this property. We found booking with unique homestays super easy and thought it was good value for the stay. The house is very well equipped and most importantly clean with a very helpful welcome Hamper. It's in such a charming location next to a beautiful old church, opposite a green, a stones throw from a wonderful pub and a beautiful short walk to Bovey Castle.
We found Hannah at unique homestays very responsive and always helpful.
We have already recommended the property to others and will definitely rebook in the future.

Our stay at Serpentine was truly exceptional and provided the perfect setting for my 60th birthday celebration with the whole family. Everyone was deeply impressed by the beautiful surroundings, stunning views, and the peaceful atmosphere of the property.

The house itself was immaculately clean, thoughtfully designed, and equipped with absolutely everything needed for a comfortable stay. It was clear that a great deal of care and attention had gone into creating and maintaining such a wonderful place.

We are very grateful both to the owners and to Unique Homestays for the organisation, support, and upkeep of such a special property. My entire family thoroughly enjoyed the experience, and it is a place we will remember with great warmth for many years to come.

Lantern House, Cotswolds

We have used this site for a few years now and are always pleased with the choice of properties along with the seamless arrangements. The latest property is beautifully designed, with a gorgeous garden. It is situated in a lovely village, a perfect location for dog walks.

We stayed at Over Lemon River near Oakhampton with our young Labrador. It was a beautiful property with lovely outdoor space and a wood fired hot tub. I can’t fault the property at all. There was everything we needed. The location is perfect for the moors. It was very easy to book through Unique Homestays and the communication was really thorough at all stages. We would definitely go back to this property and book with the company again.

Absolutely amazing place! Close to beach and Newquay. Really enjoyed our selves.

Gulliver's Hall - Wow, what an incredible property!

We stayed over the Bank Holiday weekend to celebrate my wife’s 40th, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. The owners were exceptionally accommodating, happily helping with every request—from recommending private chefs to suggesting the best spots on the property to host our main dinner party.

The house itself is stunning: cosy living rooms, comfortable bedrooms, and spacious dining areas that made hosting effortless. The pool house was a real highlight, with its terrace and al fresco cooking area creating a fantastic social hub for our group. Between the hot tub, pool, and padel court, there was something to keep every guest entertained.

We also took advantage of the catering services recommended by Kate. Chef, Ian Ballantyne – The Family Meal. The combination of relaxed alfresco cooking and a refined dining experience for the birthday celebration was outstanding.

It was a truly memorable long weekend—one we, along with our guests, will never forget

Just stayed down in Somerset, near Taunton, in a beautiful property. So peaceful and very high quality. UHS are so good at finding amazing places to stay - though would love a few more up north. All the people we have interacted with have been so knowledgeable and helpful. Plenty of information in advance and House Books are very complete.

Booking, ti direct contact with the owners was easy and made the process more personal. The property was beyond expectations with the location & property design and facilities great. It felt home from home. We will definitely return and use Unique Homestays again for other holidays.

Excellent customer service and really good comms prior to the stay. The house itself was incredible, and exactly as described with a unique cliff top position with incredible sea views.

Would absolutely use again - Firstly ‘The Hatch’ was absolutely beautiful and even better than the website could portray and secondly the communication from UHS was exactly what you’d expect from a high end holiday home service provider.

We spent the Easter long weekend at Alba House in Cornwall through Unique Homestays. The whole experience exceeded our expectations, the process was easy and the property itself was beautiful with high quality finishes. I don't think you could ever find any properties like this on Air BNB. These are actually people's well loved and cared for properties. Will definitely use again.

We stayed at Tangle Belle from 29th March to 6th April, and it truly felt like one of those rare places you don’t forget.

From the moment we arrived, everything felt calm, warm and effortless. The house is absolutely beautiful, full of character, thoughtfully designed, and it has this incredible sense of peace that immediately puts you at ease. It’s one of those homes where every detail feels considered, yet nothing feels overdone.

The setting is just as special. The garden feels like a hidden little escape, and the stream running through it became one of the biggest highlights for our children. They spent hours outside every day, exploring, playing, and even getting into the water to look for tiny fish. The fire pit in the evenings was another favourite, especially making marshmallows and enjoying those simple family moments outdoors.

What truly made our stay unforgettable, though, was Jane and Anthony. They are exceptional hosts, genuinely kind, welcoming, and so thoughtful in every way. You can feel how much care they put into both the house and the guest experience. Jane greeted us with delicious local scones, jam and cream, and fresh farm eggs, which was such a lovely and personal touch. She was also always available with recommendations, all of which were excellent and made our time in Cornwall even more special.

One of the highlights of the trip was following her suggestion to take the train from St Erth to St Ives, it was absolutely stunning and such a perfect, stress-free way to experience the coast.

A very special moment for the children was meeting their baby puppy, Billy, who was just five weeks old. They adored him and it became one of those small but unforgettable parts of the stay.

We are leaving genuinely in love with Tangle Belle. It’s a place full of soul, warmth, and beauty, and we feel very lucky to have experienced it. We already know we’ll be back.

From the first point of contact , I was impressed with the communication. I started with a webchat enquiry , to which I received an immediate response , then directed to Homestay Specialist Kirstie, who listened to my brief and sent me a range of available cottages. This initial, personable approach, along with the thorough house descriptions and high quality photographs made the choosing process so much easier . We made a great choice and had a fab week in a gorgeous property in a lovely village (Eardisland) - exactly what we asked for. We spoke to the owner too (on phone and text) while we were there , who was very friendly and helpful. Given the high standard of service and accommodation, we felt it offered good value for money and definitely worth it. We’re already looking to book with them again for the summer - I’d definitely recommend them to anyone looking to treat themselves to a more special , elevated experience in a holiday home rental.
