Going the extra mile.

I’m not very good at doing things online and so I looked for a phone number so that I could speak to a person about what I wanted to do. I spoke to Gemma, who was very kind and extremely helpful and between us we arranged for a delivery to a dear friend whose birthday was coming up. She was delighted to receive the gift when it was delivered and I couldn’t be more grateful to Gemma in making it happen.

I wanted to buy a special gift for my sisters 50th bday

I wanted to buy a special gift for a special birthday - my sisters 50th. I wanted to buy something supplied by a business based in Dorset as that is where I live for my sister who lives in London.

I ordered a Birthday hamper well in advance - the hamper didn't arrive on time and is not arriving at all. As way of compensation Virginia Hayward offered 2 bottles of wine (unknown quality).

I think Virginia Hayward miss the point of compensating missing this delivery - it is not the cost, it is the fact I have not been able to organise a gift for my sister on her 50th Birthday. After all they aren't just a retailer selling clothes which doesn't really matter if they are late - they are selling gifts for special occasions and when they miss the date cause quite some distress. Customer service was prompt but offer was not relative to the error.

We do sincerely apologise your hamper was lost in transit with FedEx, this is unfortunately out of our control.
In your email informing us the hamper had not arrived you asked for a full refund, which was actioned immediately.
As an apology we offered a complimentary wine gift, these are wines we use within our hampers.
I do apologise this was your experience, we never wish for our customers to be disappointed but we have resolved this to the best of our ability.

Always good hampers from Virginia Hayward

Ordered another hamper for our wedding anniversary this time. I have ordered some Christmas ones in the past and they have always been very good. This time did not disappoint. It was reasonably priced and delivery was on time.
The quality of the goods is always good and I can trust what I am buying. Would not hesitate to order again, or recommend to you. I can see me ordering for this Christmas and there is a gluten free option too.

Delayed delivery

I paid for and selected delivery on a specific date. It was delayed over a weekend (without notice) and entirely missed the recipient before vacation.

We do apologise FedEx delayed the delivery of your gift, unfortunately it was delayed at their depot.
I can see from the notes on our order, the named day surcharge paid was refunded as the gift was not delivered when expected.

Gift itself was great

This was a gift for which I am told the contents were lovely, however, extra was paid for the postage but it wasn't delivered for another 2 days.

I also wrote out a message which was not received to say who it was from.

Delivery service and contents

I ordered this hamper as a morale pick-up gift for a friend who had just lost his wife of 20 years to a fast cancer. He received the hamper within a couple of days - service was very fast - and phoned me to say how much he was enjoying it. Five stars all round!

Ordering all good

Ordering all good. Unfortunately the card which we filled in online was not put in the hamper so recipients did not know who it was from. So had to call them after 2 days of not hearing from them, as picture from delivery showed item left on doorstep. Disappointing as did not get an excited thank you call which I was expecting.

I have checked your order and can see that your gift message was on the hamper, however they are not put inside the box, they are on the outside of the box under a peel and reveal label.
