i came into vodafone ilford and was greeted immediately by kind staff such as Manisha who solved my problem of a sim swap swiftly and efficiently. Absolutely the Worst Experience I’ve Ever Had Vodafone
I don’t even know where to start with how terrible Vodafone’s service has been – both in-store and over the phone. I was pre-approved for two contracts, even though I only needed one. The store staff were completely unhelpful, uninterested, and ignored me throughout the process. I ordered an iPhone 16 Pro and a Microsoft Surface Pro laptop. They gave me the phone in-store and said the laptop would be delivered.
On the delivery day, I was at home the entire time. The DPD driver didn’t even knock – instead, they marked it as “incorrect pin” . When I called Vodafone to get it redelivered, they pushed me to DPD. DPD said they can’t redeliver and that it’s going back to the warehouse.
So who do I believe? DPD says it’s still in transit. Vodafone says it’s already out of stock. Then Vodafone says, “Since you passed the credit check, we’ll give you another device.” I waited for laptop to get restocked. Then later after months I asked for a Samsung Fold phone instead — now suddenly I’m not eligible anymore? Why pre-approve two contracts and promise a replacement if that’s not true?
And here’s the real problem — Vodafone just tells you anything to get you off the line. They give you completely false information. Every agent has a different story. One says a complaint has been raised. Another says no record of any complaint. One says I won’t be charged. Another says I owe a payment. It’s all lies just to make you stop calling. No one takes responsibility.
To top it off, I paid £100 upfront for the laptop. They said the contract was cancelled and I wouldn’t be charged. But I was charged for one month and received payment reminder messages. It took TWO MONTHS and constant follow-ups just to get my upfront fee refunded. And that only happened because I kept chasing them — not because Vodafone did their job.
Vodafone, your customer service is beyond disgraceful. You treat customers with zero respect. This has been the most frustrating experience I’ve ever had with any company. I’ll never use Vodafone again, and I would strongly advise anyone reading this: don’t fall for their lies. They’ll promise you everything and deliver nothing
