Required dipping mirror on reverse investigation for not working. Sadly reported as needing a next and deeper stage investigation - $$ and possibly $$$$. And yes, I fully understand the initial £105 charge. HOWEVER…. the nano-technicians that were left in the system have beavered away overnight and have fixed the issue; it’s now dipping as designed. Happy days… for now. 5 stars even without the fix.

I’m extremely disappointed in the service Iv received and it has left my quite angry, upset and feeling like Iv been ripped off.
My car was also returned with old engine parts left in the engine bay, oily hand prints on the bonnet, old and oily engine parts just dumped in the boot with the engine cover causing the top of the engine to be full of water when I got home from Holliday. Something that well know to cause injector failure.

I took my 2011 seat Leon FR in for 2 separate issues one regarding the gearbox and the other was a fault making the car go into limp mode.

The cost of identifying these issues were £100 per issue. So at that price you would expect top class service and to be sure they had got to the bottom of the issues. The gear box was correctly identified and repaired with no problems. After this it all went down hill.

The limp mode issue I was told could be potentially the N75 valve or the turbo potentially but I was told a N75 valve would possibly fix it. I authorised this work and was later told this didn’t fix it as the actuator was the problem and “we can’t get parts as they aren’t manufactured” I was then told I needed a turbo at £2000 fitted. As the car is only worth around £3000 I declined the work.

Despite them “not being manufactured” I ordered a new turbo actuator from dark side performance for £150, a reputable and well known performance Diesel Company.

I was even more shocked when I took the car to another Garrage and was succinct told the turbo actuator was fine and this wasn’t the issue. How can you charge £100 and not even diagnose the issue!! I paid £600 all in for this service I’m frankly extremely angry!!

If volksmaster would like to initiate a dialogue and try to make things right, I would be more than happy to speak to them. As of now frankly I find the way I was treated disgusting and down right disrespectful. I would also like to know the steps they took to identify the actuator was bad as I find it hard to believe they correctly tested components and came to this conclusion.

Iv waited a few months to confirm my £200 fix definitely has worked and it has!!

after feeling very ripped off volksmaster contacted me the Monday after I left the review to see how they could “make things right” ie get the review taken down. They refused to refund the £100 diag fee which I argued they didn’t correctly diagnose. All Iv done is put an honest account of what happened. I’m no expert when it comes to cars but im definitely an enthusiast who understands how things work.

Iv taken the car to a real specialist. I was told the n75 valve wasn’t getting the correct vac pressure something volksmaster obviously didn’t check.
Turned out a vac line on top of the engine had rubbed through just enough to reduce the vac pressure.

I had the line changed and the car started to run better but it wasn’t 100% fixed. The garage then recommended a turbo cleaner that you spray into the intake. His thought were that because the car hadn’t been running right the turbo had got a little choked up. So I ran the turbo cleaner and after a few hard drives the turbo was happy again.

So in conclusion volksmaster poor diag was £2000 for a new turbo. Here’s what p*****ed me off the most the turbo wouldn’t have even fixed the issue due to the vac leak.

Don’t take your car here unless you’re ready to get ripped off by people who don’t have a clue.

Very fast and professional turn around from a coolant system pressure test to the installation of the new water pump. The staff are friendly and happy to help. I will definately be coming back when i need repairs in the future.

During a recent car service for my VW Golf at another provider I was informed that I needed some work done by a VW specialist and was pointed in the direction of VolksMaster Oldham.

Bringing it in for that work and a full service & MOT, Jakk was the service advisor who got me booked in smoothly, and swiftly took care of any questions I had during the time my vehicle was in (and kept me updated as the work progressed). Zak was the technician who uploaded an in-depth video very shortly after I brought my car in with a full walk through of any issues that had been found. The video was very thorough and I really appreciated the high level of professionalism already on display by the team.

The work agreement form following the initial inspection was simple to use, and the work was completed to a high standard. The team were professional and friendly throughout, I'd definitely be coming back here to keep my vehicle cared for.

Totally unprofessional was there to find out ac leak which they stated 105£ price as I told them there is leak some where the same responses they give me there is leak but need to find more investigation need and charged 105£ for nothing one hour and if I want to more investigation they will charged more, didn’t do nothing just insert n .gas and wait for leaking. I paid them. I was halford before them I paid online 35£ for ac gas leaking and they check there is leaking but they can’t find out and said we didn’t go you require service and we are refunded you your money back without any problem

Following on from my last review where a health check helped us reject car and get a full refund. We managed to find a car, little bit older but great condition, it did come with a 3 month warranty and the option to extend. After reading through the terms of the warranty and realising it would all come down to wear and tear should we need to claim we decided to use the cost of said warranty to go back to VolksMaster Ashton road. The car had had a service on purchase but we suspected it was just fluid top ups so booked in for full service, timing belts on Skoda guidelines have changed but after reading that tensioners pulleys and water pumps can cause catastrophic belt failure we booked in for that. Decided the price was so reasonable we had the dsg gearbox service too. Kat on reception was very knowledgeable and explained the cost breakdown and checked to see if it ever had the timing belt replaced before we went ahead. For the same cost as a warranty we had all the major work done and had a full health check included. Received a video showing all the parts we cannot bend to see and now have peace of mind. Not only did we get a clear documented breakdown of the work but they also gave our car a good clean inside and out, couldn’t be more pleased and are really surprised that the car actually sounds and feels much better to drive. Highly recommended
