We ordered a hazardous storage cupboard which arrived palletised and fully shrink wrapped. Once unpacked, the unit was clearly damaged. The damage was concealed and could not have been identified at the point of delivery.
The issue was reported immediately with clear photographic evidence. Despite this, we were told that because the pallet had been signed for, no replacement would be provided. We were advised that goods must be fully unpacked and checked before signing a POD, which is not commercially realistic for standard B2B pallet deliveries.
Instead of arranging collection and replacement for a product that arrived unusable, a partial goodwill credit was offered.
The matter was escalated and, to date, remains unresolved.
Very disappointing handling of a straightforward concealed damage claim.
