World of Watering saved the day…

After a month of frustration with Amazon failing to fulfil my order three separate times, I stumbled across World of Watering, an approved Gardena reseller – and I’m so glad I did. Their service was outstanding. They dispatched my order immediately, and it arrived within 48 hours, perfectly packaged and exactly as described.

As for the product itself, the Gardena StarCut Pro L Set is an absolute game changer for pruning tall trees and shrubs. The adjustable length from 175 cm to 400 cm means I can easily reach branches without a ladder, and the 12x cutting power makes light work of thicker branches up to 32 mm in diameter. The bypass cut is smooth and precise, and the integrated saw attachment is brilliant for tackling larger branches. The build quality is excellent – sturdy yet lightweight, with thoughtful ergonomic design that makes extended use comfortable.

World of Watering has absolutely won my trust as a retailer, and Gardena has impressed me yet again with a high-quality, well-engineered tool. Highly recommended – both the product and the company.

AVOID!!

We've received a hose from World of Watering in a black plastic wrapping without any further packaging material and without a packing slip.

We thought this was their way of being efficient, so we didn't make any of it. After unwrapping the black plastic, we discovered however that we had ordered the hose in the wrong size and asked the company if we could return it.

So far so good, however when the return was received by World of Watering, the customer service expected to have original packaging which was never on the hose in the first place! I asked for a full refund, but got a 50% refund offer + returning the hose due to missing packaging as they said they couldn't sell it on without the original packaging. How can I send something back in packaging that was never there when it arrived?

A very unpleasant and customer unfriendly phone conversation followed from customer service staff member Niall. He thought I was making it all up and found it suspicious. Also he said I had called the company several times, which I didn't, I hadn't called them at all.

Never had such a bad customer service experience before with an online company. Will never buy from this company again and wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

I had an extremely positive experience with this company. I recently ordered garden hose trolley and several accessories. The prices were very keen, and the postage was free! When I placed my order I made a mistake on it, this was rectified two hours after I contacted the company.....on bank holiday Sunday. Above and beyond service by Lee! All my goods arrived in perfect condition and quickly. I'm now enjoying
watering my garden with my state of the art equipment. Many thanks to to the team at World Of Watering, customer service is alive and well!

Failed Gardena timer. Failed customer service.

Purchased over £600 of Gardena micro drip irrigation system including two digital timers. One of the timers sprung a leak from the valve casing well within the warranty period. Contacted them. They asked for receipts and video of it leaking. Then asked me to strip the case and video the valve leaking. Claimed ice had caused during winter (both timers were drained and stored over winter). They have refused to replace it. This is a £40 product. No skin off their nose to get this sorted but now lost a customer and the Gardena brand is off my shopping list. Good work World of Watering, ruined two reputations in one fell swoop.

I understand your concerns regarding the timer and the issues you’ve experienced. You first reached out to us in May and July, and we’ve now heard from you again in November. I’m more than happy to continue the conversation regarding this matter. However, I was a little surprised to see your 1-star review following your recent email, so I’d like to address this constructively.

As I mentioned in my last email, it seems likely that the valve has cracked due to water freezing inside. Unfortunately, this type of damage can occur even when the timer is stored indoors if temperatures drop below freezing and water remains trapped in the valve. While I understand you kept it in the garage with your cars, garages can still be susceptible to frost, which may have contributed to the issue. The manual does recommend storing the timer in a fully frost-free environment, which can include autumn, as seen with the cold weather we’re currently experiencing.

I’d love to continue the conversation with you and work toward a resolution. I’ve sent you an email with proposed next steps that I hope you’ll find agreeable.

Garden shears

In not happy with the harder shears I've message saying the blades are not sharp enough took ages to reply ended up calling them and told me to send a video done that then said they can't do nothing but if I can't use them should get a refund right I will not be shopping with these again terrible customer service

Ordered a two part set- 1 delivered 1 damaged

Ordered a two part set. One part delivered without the other one.?Then second part arrived damaged and box open. Called immediately and they agreed to send a replacement. The time of day allowed for it to leave that day but it failed. My weekend project failed and now have to wait until next weekend to do. They said sorry but they could send on Saturday delivery - could not send or didn’t want to pay?
Had the choice to buy from someone else but not likely to use these again. Accidents happen but its what a company does to sort it, is what matters

Avoid this company at all cost - deceiving customers!

I have made my first purchase at World of Watering confident their service would be ok following some reviews I have read and having a look on the prices and Gardena range in stock.
To start, my order took quite some time to arrive but eventually did and I tried my new Gardena Oscillating Sprinkler Aquazoom M the day after. For my surprise, even though I have almost 4bars of water pressure, the sprinkler has the poorest of performances, which I am genuinely unsure it is due to faulty item or really poor designed product since I have tried my neighbour's sprinkler (identical model, competitor brand, stating also requires 4bar pressure to operate on optimal condition) and works perfectly fine.

I immediately contacted the customer service team by email as per T&Cs on the website for returning items and refunds. I was met with unpleasantness by an agent called Niall who asked to send videos of product working, which I did even though as per T&Cs I am entitled to return the item as long as it is is on original packaging and in a resalable condition, which it absolutely is. Only tried it once as I could not verify quality of the product in any other way.
So I did send the video and asked to confirm they would refund and to confirm the address I should return the product to.

Niall, came back stating I would need to perform a bucket test as well as if they couldn't confirm the item was indeed faulty they could not accept the item, which again is against the company T&Cs published on their website and which I familiarised myself with before placing an order. Also, Gov.uk is pretty clear on the rules about online selling known as distance selling - Accepting returns and giving refunds: the law - GOV.UK
Keep in mind that because I was unsure if the item was indeed faulty, I did not request for the return postage to be paid by the company and was going to pay it myself.

Niall, continued to come back stating they refuse to accept the item as it seemed not faulty, but was due to me changing my mind and therefore after my complete legit and reasonable arguments, I have asked to speak with a manager. For days, I have asked this with successive emails which now no one replies!

This is completely unacceptable, unfair treatment and I feel pretty much scammed by this company.

I am aware they do not advertise Trustpilot as their prime reviews' website and I am unsure if someone will actually read the reviews here however conveniently customers cannot freely post through review.io unless they are sent an invite, which I believe for obvious reasons I have not been sent and I reckon there are plenty more unsatisfied customers that have been unable to review their experiences.

I brought a fluvial fx6 a few years ago…

I brought a fluvial fx6 a few years ago but due to moving house I hadn't used it. Have been trying for days to get the useless thing to work. I have watched untold video on YouTube, and have come to the conclusion that fluvial sell rubbish. Having brought it so long ago I can't return it. If you love fish keeping, don't go with fluvial.

Don’t buy from this company

The hose arrived wrapped in a black bin liner and bubble wrap, with no instructions… no box.

As soon as we put the attachments on, we realised that it didn’t fit on my outside tap, although every other hose we’ve had just clicked on. We bought a small part to make it fit.

The hose doesn’t just roll off of the trolley. If I want a bit more hose, I have to walk back to the trolley and unroll more. Winding it back is a nightmare and not for anyone with limited mobility or in pain. There’s also an overspray, regardless of setting and how much I turn my tap on. It sprays the earth out of the tubs and soaks the windows and surrounding area.

World of Watering have been a nightmare. Even though I’ve said I wanted to return it on day one, they’re stalling me and saying that I can’t.

I called Gardena in Germany and they’ve confirmed that all of their hoses come in a sealed box and that they think I’ve been sent a return. Despite this, W of W are still saying that they may not refund if I send it back.

I wouldn’t recommend you buy from this company.

Very bad after-sale service

Bought a Gardena hose and used less than 5 times; the connector was disconnected from the hose and causes leaking; emailed them for an exchange / refund as it mentioned that it is with a 30-year warranty. They think that it is very fault as I tried to remove the connector. I told them I have not done so and they just asked me to put it back to the original position myself and it still causes leaking. Will definitely avoid this company forever
