A quick google search tells me Xendit raised about $540M in funding. A quick use of the platform makes me wonder where they actually spent all that capital. It feels like a vibe coded project held together by sticks, twigs, and twine. God forbid if you ever have to interact with their customer service. People who call them Stripe of SEA either have never used Stripe or Xendit or both. I truly hope Stripe doesn't acquire them because Xendit doesn't deserve that and nor does stripe. Oh and they take 4/5 days to settle and then will charge you extra to settle early. I would love an audit to happen of their finances. Where did this money go? all of 540 M? Considering you can get a good engineer in Indonesia for 15-20 M IDR where did they spend all this money?
We have spent 3 months to integrate our system to Xendit as they requires us to integrate first before getting review. After all the hardwork we submitted document for review and all documents are valid. Then they just simply reject our app is not follow their standard. They doesn't appreciate customer efforts. Bad customer support, bad management. Don't trust your money there!
Incompetent employees! No proper account governance! Deactivating services without any notice! All they do is get your data!
Tried to make a payment for goods with a Xendit "invoice" sent to me by the seller as I use an International Visa Card for purchases whilst living in the Philippines.
When it came to verifying my card it was flagged as being a fraudulent site by my bank (card provider) and would not proceed.
After talking to my bank (at cost to me for having to call IDD) they stated that there are a lot of major banking institutions that do NOT allow Xendit payments due to fraudulent activity.
Had finally resort to bank transfer to complete the purchase.
TL;DR - Xendit flags as "Fraudulent" with some banks.
A disaster, their product has serious glitches, and their customer service is totally dysfunctional. We joined Xendit early on, during their inception, and contributed to their development. We lost large sums of money from credit card fraud, though we persisted, perhaps foolishly. We now have a serious glitch with their payment system, which means we cannot process online payments, and again we are losing large sums of money. Their customer service is totally useless, you end up on an endless track of "we'll respond shortly" - we have been waiting more than 24 hours, we've had only automated responses, and no action to address the glitch. We have the benefit of having a contact in Xendit, outside of customer service, but even they have been able to do nothing. BE AWARE, Xendit is a disaster and will most likely have a serious negative impact on business.
Horrible product, and even worse service. Imagine launching a business and not being able to process payments and serve your customers because your chose vendor doesn't serve you.
I applied for merchant activation but it was rejected without a specific reason, I tried to contact them via chat, email and phone number to ask why but all of their contacts answered by robot with template answers, my legal documents that I had uploaded for activation could not be deleted and still stay there so they were vulnerable to misuse it.
