I am a bit torn. I do love the concept and I think it has worked well so far. I have always had scalp dermatitis that flares up drastically with some products (but also water, stress & diet), and I do feel like this shampoo doesn't make it worse – now, if it helps? Still early to tell, I think. I do feel my hair is healthier and shinier and even though the conditioner is hard to use (it keeps breaking apart into smaller and smaller pieces and feels like it doesn't melt well) – the very little of it that I manage to get into my hair really does help! I don't know if it's the conditioner doing it's thing or the fact that the shampoo is hydrating too? Either way, the combo works well on my hair. Now, my main problem with these products is that they contain micro plastics (5 ingredients)... one of the main reasons for me to choose solid shampoo is to make sure we cut down on plastic, so it does make me sad that using these releases micro plastics into our very fragile ocean. Any chance you could loose these ingredients from your formulation: dimethicone, polyquaternium-6, PVP, polyquaternium-10, dimethiconol?
I understand it is hard to be perfect, but I feel like being safe from micro plastics should be a priority on a solid shampoo.

Loved the story of the brand and the ingredients but unfortunately I was disappointed when using the solid conditioning product. It breaks and brittle in small pieces when in contact with water and does not create a lather when rubbing it on your hair. It needs more "creamy" lather. Hair doesn't feel soft after applying. I am aware that it takes time for your hair to adapt to the solid shampoo & conditioner transition but I have been using solid products for a long time now and this doesn't do it.

I bought the shampoo bar, and while smaller than i expected it didn't disappoint i performance. Once in the hair it doesn't lather all that much, but personally i am not bothered by this. Besides that, may hair is the lights, shiniest anf softest it has ever been. Delivery was also not issue at all. Would highly recommend!

I’ve tried a lot of different shampoo and conditioner bars, but not any I was really happy with. Either they had nasty ingredients or would leave my hair feeling completely stripped from its natural oils. But these bars are just amazing, in my opinion. I’ve used them for about a month and I’m never using another brand again! They leave my scalp feeling clean, but nourished at the same time - not tight and itchy, as some bars does... And most importantly my hair is falling out far less than before, which had been such a concern and insecurity of mine and something I’ve tried to deal with for years.

My boyfriend also said he thought the conditioner bar smelled like sushi rice, which I thought was kinda funny, because it’s obviously made with rice-water. Just goes to show how natural the bars are, with no added fragrance, which I love as someone trying to live a more sustainable lifestyle. 5 stars from me!

Love the very subtle smell of the shampoo and how gentle it feels on my hair - showering feels like pampering myself! My hair has never been this soft and glossy after washing.

Habe sonst immer normale Haarpflegeprodukte genommen (Flüssiges Shampoo und Conditioner).Und hatte damals Haarseifen ausprobiert aber nur enttäuschent diese hatten meine Haare total verklettet.Aber das Yao Secret Shampoo Bar und Conditioner Bar ist wirklich nur zu empfehlen werde es nur noch für meine Haarpflege benutzen nie mehr ohne .Besten Dank auch der Kundenservice super schnell und freundlich einfach alles perfekt.

Good shipping. On the right date it was at my doorstep. Just the conditioner is crumbeling... The shampoo is lovely and has that soft foam that i love. My hear feels great and clean. If it is your first time shampoobarring know that your hair needs to adjust.

Genuinely has made my hair shiny and appear healthy. However the conditioner bar easily crumbles so perhaps offer a carrier to place soap in

Recently, I tried both the shampoo and conditioner bars. I was excited to try something new since the my hair was breaking off quite easily and I became a bit worried. I showered using the bars every 2 days. A week after I tried them, I noticed that my hair was breaking off way less than before. I am happy to see that there have been positive results in the past 3 weeks. My hair is also not as itchy anymore and it looks shiny in the mirror. I am thankful because I was becoming very frustrated with other brands of shampoo that I tried. I hope the bars will continue to make my hair stronger. I also really appreciate that the bars are made with natural ingredients.

Good but...
Im used to natural and solid shampoo's for years.
I have dermatitis in the hair and dandruff.
I was hoping that a natural remedy without chemicals decrease my dandruff. On the contrary, in less than 1 week I had to wash my hair again because it was greasy and with huge scales of dandruffs. Horrible. Though It was the first time to get use to. 4 times later, it was worst. Maybe its an allergy to its components, but definitely not good for me. Also conditioner broke the first time I used. It is not as hydrating as I would like. Not saying its a ad product, but not good for me. Love the ethics, ecosystem friendly and values of the brand. Hope it will help to a lot of people.

My fine knotty horrible hair feels silky and weightless, I have tried at least 50 shampoo bars never to repurchase again, the texture of these bars is different, there's a lather not as much as others but it's nourishing not stripping and feels cleaner for longer
I recommend trying it, especially for fine limp hair.
I also bought a comb
I've been after a nice sustainable comb for a long time, the comb is exquisite, beautifully made craftsmanship,glides through hair, which is a first for me, so tactile to touch, without the drag that plastic gives, you will never want to use a plastic comb again, I ordered another 2 for my son's the same day, you just want to touch it and use it.
A little tip order before you run out of your own shampoo, my order took a month to arrive

I´ve decided Yao Secret is trustworthy and ordered their shampoo + conditioner bars for me and my friend. They even offered me a tracking app which worked great. The order arrived in time and so far I´m trying those products. I have to say that my hair is no longer frizzy or static, which is one of the reasons I wanted to try these bars. The truth is that we are still developing this relationship - from the start, my hair was stiff, a bit stringy, and dry-greasy after every use. For now, after two weeks of using, it's no longer stiff. My hair is sleeker, less greasy after use (but still a bit), my hair sheds 50% less than before, and it started to look shiny (I have to say that there IS WINTER - so the air is dry as the desert, the weather cold and windy - it used to be a nightmare for my hair, but no more thanks to Yao Secret :) ). I was told that the transition period would be something like that(the stiffness, greasiness, etc.), so I´m not too nervous about it, because it´s getting better. Plus they kindly sent me a tutorial on how to use these bars, along with some tips for better results. Their customer service is great, communication as well, shipment and price - everything. RECOMMENDED!

I've only used the shampoo and conditioner a couple times, but I can already feel a difference. My hair is way less oily now and I am so happy about that. The customer service is also awesome. They are some of the nicest people I've met!

I started noticing shampoo bars recently so when I chanced upon I decided to try it out. I’ve seen youtubers soaking their hair into rice water and apparently it has beneficial effects. While I haven’t tried the rice water myself, I’m guessing there must be some kind of magic in the recipe that helps make Yao women’s hair so long and healthy because wow, I’m experiencing that effect after about two weeks’ continuous use of the shampoo and conditioner bar! My hair is less frizzy now and my scalp used to sometimes shed occasional dandruff but now I’m seeing less. It took me a while to get used to the bars but now I’m quite efficient at using it. Basically you shouldn’t lather it on your hair. Do it on your hand then apply to your scalp and hair. For the conditioner bar, I like to just run it through my hair. I’ll continue to observe the results and see how things progress. So far so good.
