I have recently purchased a ZAD20 and I really am enjoying it. I am 66 and have only been playing about 8 years but I play/practice EVERY day. I have had only one guitar a Yamaha that I really like too but my wife told me I deserved an upgrade and I have always heard really good things so I got my Zager. Thanks for the quality! I am no expert by any stretch but the depth and purity of the notes is immediately noticeable and I have been used to having to press really hard on my barre cords on the old guitar but can ease up with the Zager.

I love my Zager guitar. Brand new out of the box it already has a great sound, great playability. It’s an outstanding guitar which will only get better with time.

I have been trying to learn guitar and music since 2012 with many stops and starts along the way and 4 different in-person teachers (plus dozens of online/YouTube teachers). I very recently discovered Lauren Bateman and decided to pay for her lessons. This has been the best decision ever. And she is the reason I looked into
Zager guitars. She mentioned the brand in her initial free course and I decided to take a look.

I have been learning on a Breedlove Passport C-250, and thought the playability was great. After searching for a used Zager, and finding this beautiful Mahogany ZAD-20 model at a fair price I decided to give it a try as I was starting the Lauren Bateman lessons.

Well, the Easy Play name is correct. I cannot say what the specific differences are, but I can say that I now reach for this guitar every day instead of the Breedlove that I was so familiar with. I still like that guitar, but I simply like this Zager better. It is easier to play, and easier to get a good tone. I am a beginner so I cannot explain the reasons, but the proof is in the practice time. I enjoy practicing and learning more than I have in the past.

I did not think I would like the Dreadnought shape as I was used to the smaller OM body, but I am quickly becoming comfortable with this Zager Dreadnought.

Whatever the combination action of things are the result is that I am enjoying learning more than I ever have and I want to pick up the guitar even after a long day just to practice for a few minutes.

I have been a Zager customer for over two years, starting with the 900CE which exceeds any of my other top of the line guitars. I have enjoyed the ease of play, and hours of enjoyment with Dennis Zager Sr’s superior craftsmanship in every detail of playability and beauty of his hand-crafted work put in to each instrument. Most recently I received my Travel-E Zager. This is truly love at first site, and in only the first hour of play. This guitar will travel with me wherever I am on the road. Definitely my songwriting companion for life. If you are a pro, or a beginner, choosing a Zager would be the best decision you will ever make in a hand made guitar.

I recently received my new guitar (a ZAD80CE "OM" Aura) and am very, very happy with my purchase. It is simply the most beautiful guitar that I have ever owned and it plays and sounds like a guitar that costs twice as much. I went to a couple of guitar stores to play Martins and Taylors in order to compare them with my new Zager and the Zager wins, hands down. Thank you so very much for your quality craftsmanship and for building a guitar that I can play for extended periods of time, even with the arthritis that I have in my hands. It was worth the wait!!!

The short version is "I couldn't be happier with these guitars!"
I LOVE guitars in general and I've been playing for a little over 26 years. Around 23 years ago I was doing a ton of hands on research, going from one guitar store to another and at the time I was pretty much set on buying a Taylor cutaway with a built in pickup, EQ and tuner. One day I went to a "boutique" type guitar store, picked up a Takamine EF 34 1C, tuned it up, strummed an open G and immediately brought it to the counter and asked how much. The price was awesome for a guitar with such amazing sound and action. Plus it had NO buzz. AND it was around 60% less than the Taylor I was looking at. I bought it and it's been my "baby" ever since.

UNTIL I GOT THESE ZAGER GUITARS! I ended up getting the BOGO deal and let me tell you that I'm BLOWN AWAY by, number one, THE SOUND. Both guitars(the
ZAD900CEOM and the basic Easy Play)
are ALREADY, SO WARM and RICH. THE SUSTAIN, THE PROJECTION and the VOLUME, not to mention the ACTION are ALL superior to my 23 year old Takamine. I even changed the strings on the Takamine because I thought it would at least be "equal" in all the sound qualities and action but NOPE.

Over the years, naturally, I've played some other guitars and have definitely felt that I did want to go back to doing more hands on comparisons and I was prepared to, at one point, around 10 years ago, to spend over $4000 on a Kao Taylor cutaway with built in pick up, EQ and tuner but I just couldn't pull the trigger on it.

Well, I'm glad I didn't because I feel like I got the BEST bang for the buck with these ZAGER guitars.

There were a few issues with shipping (which, believe me, I was SWEATING about) but in the end, it was totally worth it. The Zager family really took care of me. A special shout out and thank you to Emily!

I purchased the parlor size because of my height (5’3”). There was a video on the website demonstrating the size and performance of each size, which helped my decision. My guitar is even better in person. It has wonderful tones and a beautiful finish. It is a bit thick for me, but I am over weight and have extra padding in front. But I’m enjoying practicing everyday to limber up and overcome this issue. There was a sale with a bonus of necessary accessories. Also the 100% refund with free shipping made it an easy decision to try a Zager guitar.

I had been considering Zager guitars for quite some time before I finally pulled the trigger on a ZAD80 CE-OM Aura. I am happy I did. It has a beautiful sound, feel, and appearance. There is a ton of value here with the fit and finish and attention to detail. The cedar top gives it a nice mellow sound right out of the box and that should develop further as the guitar ages. The solid rosewood body looks as amazing as it sounds. The Grover tuners are the real deal, not a branded knock-off. The hand-laid abalone inlay around the body is stunning. The Fishman Aura is a great preamp that has four customizable images that can be edited, (wow…that was both redundant AND repetitive) stored and accessed immediately via a slider switch and then blended with the raw tone of the Fishman transducer. It is an absolute joy to play this guitar plugged in or unplugged. Zager also included a pick guard if the buyer chooses to install it. I am truly delighted with the instrument. The case is huge, bigger than the Taylor or the Takamine cases. That’s not a bad thing. The guitar feels well-protected. There’s also a capo, a leather guitar strap, 3 extra packs of strings, picks, a clip on tuner, and a membership to Zager’s library of lessons…something a beginner might appreciate. Me? I’m too old to learn new stuff..the old stuff might fall out! 🫤Also, a little shout out to Denny Zager, Jr. An extra guitar was shipped to me by error, but when I asked Mr Zager, he said I could donate the extra guitar to the Solid Rock Foundation on their behalf! That’s a good man and a good company to do business with…I’ll be a repeat customer for sure!

I just received my zager acoustic and I am very pleased with the quality of the instrument. The playability is very easy compared to alot of guitars on the market today.

It is all wood construction and that really makes a difference, it sounds like a much more expensive guitar.
I am a customer for life.

I bought a ZAD900CE Solid Spruce/Rosewood Acoustic Electric AURA Pro Series 50th Anniversary Tobacco Sunburst back in July. It's a beautiful guitar. I tune up the guitar and start playing. It's loud and bright and the playability is almost like playing an electric guitar. I immediately know I made the right choice. There's no other way to describe it except I love this guitar; the way it sounds, the way it looks... I'm really considering buying another one of Zager's mahogany guitars when I have saved enough money; I hear mahogany has a very rich tone. I'm truly impressed with the quality.

I received my ZAD50CE in 5 days after ordering it. When I opened the box out came the guitar case with a beautiful Sunburst ZAD50CE Guitar inside. When I strummed that guitar it made a rich sound only heard from a quality guitar. Furthermore, it came with extra strings, a capo, and a tuner. I love playing my new guitar.

I received my ZAD-80 and an Easy Play Guitar. Both are great guitars but the ZAD-80 is a beautifully crafted guitar with a deep rich mellow sound. The Easy Play Guitar is also a great guitar for playing around with.
The ZAD-80 is another great Zager guitar. I also have a ZAD-900 and both Zagers give my Martins a run for the money . Thank you Dennis for making it so easy to purchase a great guitar.

I ordered a ZAD900CE-12 12 string guitar which I was told was played by Denny Zagar Senior at his studio for an hour and since he used it their honesty wouldn't allow them to sell it as new ( even though most guitars in guitar shops have been played by many people and they sell it as new) they still offered a lifetime warranty and 30 days return policy where they pay the return freight, but I digress I received this beautiful work of are ZAD900CE-12 but it was in the Sunburst color I wanted since I was told it that the Spruce top was natural but mentioned that I wanted to match my 6 string in color they sent the Sunburst I tuned it and played it and it is absolutely perfect! A week and a half later I got notification from FedEx I had a package and then I got a duplicate ZAD900CE-12 so being an honest man I notified them but decided to tune and play it and keep the one I liked best? I couldn't decide so I asked what would they sell me that one for and they gave me a great discount so I bought it too. I couldn't be more satisfied no matter what guitar I purchased. But for the money these guitars are better than Taylor, Martin. Guild, Collins etc. I highly recommend this company to all who desires the best playing and sounding guitars for the price of a intermediate guitar.

The guitar is beautiful and sounds amazing. I am a seasoned player and I know a good guitar when I hear it. I have owned top end martins,Taylor's and Collins. This zad 900 ce is right there with them.

Yesterday I just received my ZAD 900 CE OM natural finish guitar from Zager. I couldn't be more pleased. This is a beautifully crafted instrument. Handsome detailing throughout. The playability rivals that of the Martins I've played before. The price is very affordable, a great deal. Seemingly much less than the craftsmanship would suggest. The accessory kit that came with the guitar is a big added bonus.The capo,picks,strings,all the extras complement the instrument.The hard shell guitar case is stylish and attractive.Very happy with your product

ZAD80CE OM ,
There were some delivery issues which left me a little more critical than I should have been . However the response was immediate and professional. Being over critical and trying to find problems with the guitar , I found none . The fit , finish, playability and tone are as good or better than any guitar I have played in over 45 years.
I have had this guitar for 2 weeks and it is settling in and improving in tone . Zager guitars wanted an honest review . This guitar is has inspired me to write my first review. If you are interested in an acoustic guitar, I would recommend trying a Zager . You will not be disappointed.
