From the moment I joined, I felt welcomed into a the charity organization driven by compassion and purpose. Whether it was distributing food, supporting families, or simply listening to someone’s story, every interaction reminded me of the power of kindness which was only possible with Zaimah facilitating this experience which will forever be memorable for me.

This experience reaffirmed my belief that when people come together with empathy, they can spark real change. I left not only grateful for the opportunity to serve, but inspired to continue supporting causes that uplift and empower others. Great effort from all the staff including the ones working in the background, they have proved time over time that they can safely and successfully navigate through different arising challenges during deployments and improvise without compromising the safety of the volunteers nor sidetrack from our mission and purpose.

The support and encouragement to fundraise was provided from the offset, no one was left on their own to figure it out and advice was always available. Zaimah operated with full transparency and there were plenty of calls prior to the deployment with the internary also being shared in advance. There was an opportunity to speak to previous volunteers and ask them questions which was insightful and helped everyone prepare for their deployment. It was the first time I travelled alone but felt absolutely assured and safe, from the moment we landed to departure, the private transfers and accommodation were arranged. Overall the deployment itself was well organised and meaningful, there was an explanation and background given to where we were going, what we were doing and who we were directly helping. It was an opportunity that I am so grateful for and still impacts me in a positive way to this day. I would 100% recommend anyone to go on a charity deployment with Zaimah.

What really stands out to me is the sense of community they foster. Zaimah feels like a family. The way the teams are organised encourages genuine friendships, allowing everyone to support and learn from one another.
