I had an excellent experience learning to drive with Mr. Muhammad Sohil. He is a highly skilled and patient instructor who truly cares about his students’ success. He always arrived on time, was very flexible with scheduling when needed, and made sure I had all the knowledge and practice required to pass my test.

Thanks to his clear guidance and dedication, I passed my driving test on my first attempt with only 2 minor faults. His teaching style is calm, encouraging, and easy to follow, which really boosted my confidence on the road.

I had been taking lessons for automatic driving with another instructor for almost a year, but they never allowed me to book a test. Recently, I got a short-notice test date—just 10 days away—and even then, the instructor told me to keep taking lessons without any clear plan for the test.

That’s when I contacted A1 Driving Academy Derby, and they connected me with Haji. He arranged 14 hours of lessons within those 10 days, completely based on my schedule. His teaching was clear, supportive, and focused—thanks to him, I passed my driving test on the first attempt!

I had lessons with Usman hashmi he is very calm and if I made any mistakes he would make me go round the same route till I got it correct which helped me a lot i definitely recommend him as a driving instructor

Great instructors! I cannot recommend Nisar enough - very patient and understanding; his teaching style is impeccable as he gives detailed feedback and encourages repetitive practice . He goes above and beyond to ensure everything sticks. Couldn’t have asked for a better learning experience.

This review is mainly for Asif, my driving instructor who helped me pass my driving test however overall I've been happy with the service A1 Academy has provided for me.
To start with Im an experienced driver who had his driving licence revoked under new drivers act. Without going into details how this happened I needed help to be prepared for the driving test and especially to eliminate any of my bad habits which I've picked up over the years.
Asif was happy for me to take only a couple of hours worth of driving lessons before each test and finally on the 3rd attempt I did pass. With every each lesson I've had with him he was doing his best to help me to understand the requirements for the driving test and to eliminate the bad habits. He's really a patient instructor and a person I've had a lot to talk about. He's very friendly and easygoing person. I would recommend Asif to anyone.
In terms of the A1 Academy itself. I've run into a bit of problems in the process with them and everything was sorted for me making sure I'm a happy customer so again I can recommend the A1 Academy to anyone and in fact I already did recommend them to one of me friends. Thank you for your service and that you helped me being a driver again.

I just passed my test 1st time with Saima, while only being 17 for 4 months! She is an amazing, confident and calm individual who tailored my lessons according to my mistakes and weaknesses and allowed me to understand every route with ease! From day 1, Saima has been very supportive and kind and has always aided me especially when I felt nervous and confused. She’s a friendly and caring woman who always provided top quality and well structured lessons in a way that made sense to me without difficulty. Her unique and simple approach to teaching made my driving experience enjoyable and rewarding! I’m very thankful to Saima as my instructor.
