A great morning learning to cycle commencing with the small bike and ending with a loop around Hyde Park!

Darren was amazing! His tips made it that starting to cycle on my own felt like a natural transition from the drills I was doing.
To learn this as an adult in such a short time was mind-blowing.

I recently completed a cycling lesson with Bike Happy and couldn’t be happier with the experience.

Darren is an excellent instructor and coach. Before the lesson, I had never ridden a bike, but by the end of the session I was cycling confidently. He was incredibly kind, patient, encouraging, and explained everything in a way that was easy to understand, which really helped build my confidence.

I’d also like to thank Sophie, who was fantastic throughout the process. She answered all of my questions before the session and even checked in afterwards to see how everything had gone.

I highly recommend Bike Happy to any adults looking to learn how to ride a bike or improve their cycling skills. The support, professionalism, and encouragement from both Darren and Sophie made the whole experience enjoyable and rewarding.

Excellent all around !
Learned to cycle in a couple of lessons. Now is fully autonomous and can follow the rest of the family on bike trips.

Darren was absolutely fantastic. As an adult in my 30s, I’d tried several times over the years to learn how to cycle, but it never quite clicked. It wasn’t until I took this course with Darren that I finally learned to ride confidently.

He was patient, encouraging, and made the whole experience feel relaxed and achievable. I never felt rushed or judged, which made a huge difference. The follow-up videos he sent afterwards were also incredibly helpful and showed how much he genuinely cares about his students’ progress.

I honestly never thought I’d be able to say this, but I can now ride a bike. I can’t recommend Darren and the adult learn-to-ride course highly enough.

Darren was an amazing teacher. He immediately made me feel super comfortable and instilled confidence in me from the get-go and was incredibly encouraging through out the lesson. He made the experience so much fun and super easy.

As an adult that had never had the opportunity to learn to ride a bike, I finally took the leap to learn - and I'm very glad that I did. Darren has proved to be an excellent instructor - he instantly puts you at ease and his patient and friendly manner made the experience enjoyable. From zero prior experience, I was riding in Olympic Park (perfectly quiet and undisturbed on a Saturday morning) in the first lesson and was convinced to book a second lesson to gain more training. Darren also provides recommendations on potential bikes to purchase so you can continue practising this life skill beyond the sessions. All in all, I'm glad I made the decision to sign-up. If you're on the fence / deliberating, give it a go! You won't be disappointed!

I am so happy we found Bike Happy School! My daughter learned to bike in two days with Darren after several failed attempts on our own and she is just thrilled to finally join her two brothers as a cyclist. She was so scared and anxious but Darren did an incredible job, I highly, highly recommend.

Darren is a great teacher and I will reccomend him to any parent that asks. The child I cared for had additional needs and Darren was extreamly patient and gave helpful advice for outside of lessons too. Both children that I cared for loved Darren and his fun approach to teaching!

I found Darren's website on social media after a quick search. I signed up for the adults cycling class with him. All I can say is it was a phenomenal experience - Darren is a very patient and experienced teacher. He has designed a simple yet highly effectively curriculum that got me riding within minutes. He is an absolute gem that I will recommend to anyone of any age or ability who wants to learn cycling or sharpen their road cycling skills.
