Complete waste of time and money. I purchased a 1099 bundle and have not been able to access it at all. Endless error messages trying to access my account- tried changing passwords, creating a new account to no avail. Bot helper and a stream of supposed associates offered nothing and just disappeared in mid session. The website phone number is just as useless. I'll get the money back through my credit card but not the hours spent on this disaster of a service.

I concur with everyone one giving this product a 1 star, except I vote for a ZERO. it used to be such a great product. Way to screw up a good thing!

Used this program to try to prepare 1099 NEC's...DISASTER...CA state ID does not print on the 1099, alignments do not work at all...I used a ream of paper trying to get the alignments right...Help is no help...frustrated me...I ended up typing out...yep!!! typing my 1099's...old school! At the end of the day ...I have to laugh...Ha Ha Ha...they didn't even add in a form 1096 to the forms create list.

DO NOT BUY THIS JUNK. DOES NOT WORK ANYMORE. ALL PREVIOUS YEARS INFORMATION IS NOW GONE AND NOT USEFUL. I'VE SPENT 3 DAYS TRYING TO JUST SET UP THE INFORMATION I'VE USED FOR YEARS. THEY RUINED THERE HELP LINE, USELESS HELP BOT NON RESPONSIVE COMPANY.

I concur with all comments. This is a COMPLETE DISASTER AND WASTE OF TIME!! I have used the product for years as well and I am many days and hours into the program and have 1 1099 successfully submitted to date. UNBELIEVABLE!!

I have to say ditto to everything others have said about Adams Software this year. I have been using them for years. Never had such a frustrating month trying to complete my clients W-2's and 1099's. 4 Hrs to try to do a single 1099! Of my 20 clients, I have managed to complete about 1/2 of my clients forms in 23 days. I too have tried to get support for all the crashing screens. If I still had a typewriter, it would have taken 5 minutes to do what I am still attempting to do. Unfortunately the pre printed forms I bought don't line up with another software program. I will NEVER use Adams again. If I could give zero stars I would.

Adams Tax Forms website is terrible this Year (2024). I cannot get my data entered or they are telling me that there is no data and it needs to be entered. WHAT HAPPENED? They use to be so easy to use. Is there any where I can find a template for form 1099 NEC Copy A and form 1096. That is all I need to be done.

Adams Tax Forms used to be a great product. Something went wrong. I cannot get the software to work the way it should. I gave it a few days to rectify its problems, but still no good. Finally I went elsewhere. Now I want a refund of my $85. No one will respond to online chat or to emails. The phone number on the website will not take you to a live person. Just recordings. Can't leave a message either. I strongly suggest that you don't give them your money.

I have used Adams Tax forms kits for years with no problems. So, in order to meet the new IRS eletronic filing rule, I decided to use them to efile W-2s this year. What an absolute disaster! Their system is slow, clunky, not user friendly and continuously crashes. I had no luck importing information from prior years, and entering a W-2 takes anywhere from 20-30 minutes if you're lucky! So far, I have invested a week attempting to complete a task that should have taken an afternoon. To say I am angry and frustrated is an understatement. I will not be using Adams Tax again. If you are looking for an efile solution for W-2s, look elsewhere.

Adams Tax Form Helper doesn't work. I have wasted many hours trying to enter 1099 Forms. This site worked fine in past years. In 2023 it is worthless. They won't acknowledge that the site is broken.

I have used Adams for multiple years, well over 10+. Until 2024, you purchased the product, loaded the CD or downloaded and imported your last year data and went directly to work, no hassles, no worries, and total familiarity with the prior program and it's use. NOW, with this "new and improved" system, and having to establish new credentials/password, Ect. you may, after many frustrating moments of working through multiple issues with their website and receiving error codes, and "Something went wrong, try again later" messages, you get to the enlightened pathway where your previous data is showing in the module and you think "Yay!", I made it finally. Until you attempt to input the past years updated numbers and data using the Dashboard and making your selection of Payor, Form and the like; where you are met once again with NO functionality and are left with leaving a message on the Chat Board and receiving a response: "We typically reply within one day". Okay, one day, two days have passed with no update, no answer, no contact, even with an updated email to Support where they say they will respond also in addition to the Chat, NOTHING. Just "crickets". Silence. Here we are on January 23, 2024 needing desperately to input data and complete the process and cannot move forward. Their phone message states that "You will not be able to talk to a person, the only communications will be in the Chat". At this point I have undertaken to doing them at the IRS.gov website, one at a time, and hand writing the W-3 and Form 1096 for mailing, and after that I am going to call my CC holder, deny this charge, ask for a credit, and then report to the BBB with a complaint and any other office I can reach out to. Adams states "125 years in business", a record to truly be proud of, but you have failed miserably this time. I hate to be vengeful, but I truly hope this closes their doors permanently! Going out of business would be restorative to all who relied on the programs previously. Just take a look at the news about Intuit and Turbo Tax, and how they are being sanctioned by the FTC for the misleading and fraud. "You can fool some of the people some of the time, but you can't fool all the people all the time". Adams/Tops, I think you have charted your own course to failure and finality. Without customers, why even exist? And you have failed yours with the "Latest and Greatest". I trust the juice is worth the squeeze you gave us. Methinks it will be impossible to recover from this disaster. Too little and too late.

I'm trying to use this for the efile function. I have 19 total 1099s to submit and adams tax has eaten up at least 30hrs of my time so far & I am NOT even done. I've only gotten it to accept 14 filing entries so far & I have not even submitted them so I don't know if their system even works. This site absolutely does not function anymore. They're incredibly unclear about how users now, apparently, have to set up 2 separate logins: one for adams tax forms & one for adams tax forms helper & when you try to get assistance from tech support, they are apparently clueless about this. I finally figured it out on my own. Additionally, trying to actually USE the "helper" is almost impossible. It is incredibly slow to actually load each screen (like 90s dial up slow) & times out more often than not, then will show that everything you've input is an error at first, then will update itself after several seconds to show that your inputs are actually fine, and about 90% of the time WILL NOT TAKE ANY INPUT INTO THE AMOUNT FIELD, where you show what you've paid a vendor. Sometimes you can get it to work but more often than not it's a 30 min struggle FOR EACH ENTRY to get it to take an amount. More often than not I have to just give up & come back later because it absolutely will not work. Tech support is useless - they do not read my descriptions of the problems I'm encountering, they do not know anything about their system, & today it will not even let me reach anyone in support - it simply offers me the option to click the sad/meh/happy face to show whether my issue was solved, but it will not offer to connect me to anyone in support. I will NOT use this service next year & I may have to give up for this year IF I can find any forms. I'd rather order forms from the IRS, HAND WRITE EACH ONE (I'd actually print them but I'm simply trying to illustrate that hand writing everything would be faster), and spend time stuffing envelopes and mail them rather than wasting 30 hours to date on trying to use this site. It is non-functional. I'd literally have saved so many hours doing everything the way I had to do it in the 90s than use this service. I'd rather pay QBO's extraordinarily high prices than use this site, even though QBO has some flexibiity issues. But NOTHING like this. This service is a huge time waster. It will eat your life during one of the busiest times of the year for those of us in accounting. If I could rate it 0 out of 100, I would do so.
