We are very sorry to see that you have chosen to leave us a 1-star review, especially as you have not purchased a bicycle from us or had any actual customer experience with our company.

We are also quite confused by the review, as it appears to be based on assumptions rather than any direct experience with our service or products.

We completely understand that customers should do their own research before making a purchase, and we are always happy to answer questions about our company, our bicycles, our location, documentation, delivery process or anything else that may provide reassurance.

However, we do not believe that competitive pricing, a website design, or perceived similarities in branding are in themselves sufficient reasons to conclude that a company is unreliable.

A 1-star review can have a significant impact on a business, and we feel it should ideally reflect an actual experience as a customer. As you have not purchased from us, we would kindly ask you to reconsider the review or contact us directly with any specific concerns so we have the opportunity to address them properly.

Hi Gyula,

We are very sorry to hear that you feel this way, and we completely understand that customers can be cautious when shopping from a newer webshop.

Adventure Base is a young outdoor webshop we have only been operating for around 4 months but we are a real business working hard to build trust and awareness in a market with many large, established competitors.

The reason we are currently offering such strong discounts is that we purchased a remaining stock of Specialized bikes, and we are trying to offer customers a genuinely good deal while also introducing more people to our webshop.

We understand your concerns, but there is no “bait” involved. The bikes are offered at the advertised price, and we are happy to answer any questions customers may have before placing an order.

Regarding the sizing, we understand your point. The S/M/L sizing shown on our website is simply the way we have chosen to present the bike sizes to make it easier for customers to understand. Many customers are not familiar with manufacturer frame-size numbers, so we simplify the sizing into Small, Medium and Large to make the buying process clearer and to avoid a large number of sizing questions. The actual bikes are, of course, genuine Specialized bikes with the correct manufacturer frame sizes.

As a new shop, reviews and customer trust mean a lot to us, so we are sorry that our offer has given you the wrong impression. We hope this helps clarify the situation.
