Great support from AIPT, especially Samuel. He listened carefully to all my concerns, took the time to understand my situation, and helped me with every query. I really appreciate that he provided a complimentary one-month course extension, which has given me the opportunity to complete my remaining modules with confidence.

The assistance I received from Laine today at AIPT was beyond superfluous. They are truly terrific in every way. I can not fault AIPT in any way and recommend them to any and all. I look forward to completing a Certificate 3 and am even more eager to complete my Certificate 4 with them. Thank you guys so very much.

Easy and quick

Do not sign up to this company. I agree with all the 1 star reviews and I suspect that most 5 stars are written by staff. So long and unnecessarily drawn out. The multiple work books are horrendous to navigate. All time spent searching for answers without learning anything. The corrections from the staff were not consistent and when submitting the corrections sometimes they were returned asking for more corrections that were previously marked correct. They then offer tutors and time extensions for extra money. Compete scam!!!
Obvious this is a money making venture. My recommendation is to go to TAFE.

I completed both a Certificate III and Certificate IV with AIPT. It has now been almost years since finishing the qualifications, and despite actively trying to enter the industry, I’ve had no meaningful employment outcomes.
What was disappointing is the gap between how the course is marketed and the reality after completion. There is a strong implication that these qualifications will lead to employment or clear pathways into the fitness industry, but in practice, there is very little ongoing support once you graduate.
Job assistance felt minimal and generic, with no real help navigating a highly saturated market. After paying significant money and investing time into two qualifications, I was essentially left on my own with a certificate and no clear direction or industry connections.
The course content itself is adequate, but prospective students should be aware that completing Cert III and IV does not guarantee work, and the level of post-qualification support is far weaker than implied. I would strongly recommend that anyone considering enrolling carefully research employment outcomes and alternative pathways before committing.

When chatting to the agent (Marc), he was very fast to respond and very helpful with what I was asking him about.

Absolutely horrific communication. This a company that simply doesn’t care for its students, it shows no humanity or interest to the people that have unknowingly signed up to be treated horribly.
Steer clear, use any other school/course possible

As the title states, signing up with AIPT was the biggest mistake I have made in my educative career. I had my Cert III, and wanted to finally complete my Cert IV. I then originally signed with them as Fitness First referred me, but if you are tossing up between them and another provider, I can confidently tell you to go elsewhere for any education and courses, especially for a Cert III/IV. They told me my Cert III was outdated so I had to do a combined Cert III and IV (fair enough), but I shouldn’t have done it with AIPT. Here’s why:

The Course Itself.

Is structured really badly, it’s overinflated with a lot of irrelevant content which will blow out your study timelines by a mile. It seemed to follow the approach of, “let’s add anything and everything for the sake of it”. Get ready to pay for what you think is a top notch PT course provider, but be ready to sit through drawn out modules of “how to format a word document” instead. I even complained to faculty already about the course, who agreed with me saying “yeah a lot of our content doesn’t need to be there”, “we don’t recommend you even go through all the content”. Not even the staff think it’s that great, my question was that if I am paying for course I assume the information it is providing me is something I need to learn, if that’s not the case, why is it there?

The Support provided was not what they sold me on.

One, I paid a higher course rate to be assigned a mentor for my placements so I didn’t have to source one without connections, but wait, that only is applicable to Cert IV. My Cert III from 2020 was out of date and they made me do a bridging course (with its own placement) as part of my Cert IV, but the assigned mentor did not apply to this, so I had to source one anyway. Paid more, did the work myself anyway. I emailed them about this, but they pretty much just said tough luck sorry.

Unless you’re an easy student with an easy question, don’t expect much in terms of support. I asked several questions over the course e.g. can I drop down to Cert III only and not do Cert IV, and was easily dismissed saying no, and even if you could, we’d still charge you for the entirety of Cert IV anyway.

They have coaching calls as part of their “support” throughout the course where you can connect with faculty members to talk through the course, assignments etc. I called up pretty discouraged at this point, and I was motivated to uptake the coaching calls after sharing my doubts about the course, and as a last attempt to try work with AIPT I said yes. Buuuuut, they ghosted me twice, I got the confirmation emails and all, but then no one called me and it was left up to me to reach out and ask why 30 minutes after the schedule time no one called, only got a “sorry feel free to reschedule” 4 business days later. When I then submitted a written complaint requesting to withdraw, their first response was “have you tried our coaching service?”…. They didn’t even read the complaint.

To reiterate, you’re pretty much left alone, and they don’t go out of their way to assist you.

They are just in it for the money.

Objectively, they have drawn out T&C’s to try and ensure you can’t get out of the course and have to pay them even when they don’t provide what they sold you on. After all this, I requested to withdraw. I had access to Cert III only and was happy to pay for what I accessed. I never received the support they raved about, and never had any access whatsoever to Cert IV, so I reasonably asked for further direct debits to cease (on a payment plan) as it seems unreasonable to obligate a student to pay for a service, course, and support they aren’t and won’t get. But you guessed it, all I got was another dismissal saying, yeah as per our T&C’s you are liable to pay for Cert IV anyway, we will continue to charge you, and if you don’t we’ll come after you with debt collectors.

Anyway, this was my experience with AIPT. Maybe yours will be different, but if you haven’t made up your mind yet, there are plenty more RTO’s out there, and hindsight is a pain….

My experience with AIPT was overwhelmingly negative. The reading they get you do to is rife with misspellings and poor wording. The "practical" component of the course consisted of literally checking boxes in page after page of a inch-thick workbook while a supervisor sat there and watched. This is verging on a scam, honestly. I'm trying to get a refund but they're being uncooperative so I feel like I've been conned out of 5k. Live and learn I guess.
