Quand j’ai rejoint le site web il y a quelques semaines , j’étais débutant en français. C’était en octobre 2025. C’était une expérience très bonne et je pense avoir appris beaucoup de choses. Les histoires étaient très intéressantes. Les profs ne parlaient jamais trop vite, je comprenais tout, c’était naturel et confortable. J’espère que les autres apprenants en français auront la même expérience.

My kids and I have been using Alice's site for years. They were in French school when they were little and had many trips to France. But we've been away from that for a few years and now they are in high school. We've forgotten some of the language. We use AliceAyel to freshen up our French language skills as needed. Her methodical storytelling—building on vocabulary and phrases used from one lesson to the next—makes learning fun and easy. We really enjoy it—and it works!

Love learning thru stories. I find it seems to work well and makes sense as a learning method.

I studied french in school for 10 years in Canada, and also did a summer language exchange at Universite Laval but was never able to get the language to click. Working through these videos (I started right at the beginning) has been so helpful to consolidate the grammar and vocabulary that I learned academically but couldn't put together. It's also great for training the ear to hear and understand rather than relying on reading.
Alice does a great job of building on themes. I like how after listening and watching a video I can go to a more difficult version to get my ear used to more complex tenses while still understanding.
I think this is a great resource, and really thoughtfully put together!

So pleased to have found the Alice Ayel site on LingQ. I have been struggling to learn french for years but can't seem to get beyond A2/B1 with traditional methods. It makes so much sense to learn a new language in the same way that we learn our first. With interesting subject matter, easily found current ability level, and Alice Ayel's superb, rare teaching methods, suddenly the task seems confident and fun!

I have been a member since 2019. I took a break for the past 5 months and have just resubscribed. I have not found a French acquisition website that does a better job in helping learners acquire French, than Alice Ayel. I appreciate and need to be able to watch the videos, hear the audios, and read the transcripts; it's the complete package. I appreciate Alice having lots of free resources on YouTube, but again, the whole package is what helps me advance. Registering was quick and easy, and finding my way around Alice's website is fun. So much there! Also, they're always willing to help if you have questions.

Very reasonably priced French learning programme compared to the well-known multi-language apps. Small business with a very personal touch, a real human presenting with full eye-contact and warm expressivity that makes it engaging and memorable. Learning through stories - which I find much more enjoyable than going over and over how to order refreshments in Paris cafes like most courses. The method is designed to be compatible with how our brains naturally acquire language, which includes lots of listening before speaking or writing, and I certainly find it works.

Fantastic way to learn French! I find that I'm much more likely to retain vocabulary and grammar when introduced through stories. Alice is a wonderful storyteller!

This is a phenomenal language learning resource. I have studied other languages using more 'traditional' methods: taking college courses, studying flashcards, reading grammar books... it was a chore... Alice's website is anything but a chore; it is simply a pleasure. It's natural stress free learning. And it's quick too! Even from the first lesson! It's almost unbelievable how quickly you can pick up the language using an acquisitional approach... There simply is not a better way to begin your French language studies than Alice's courses (besides being born in France!).
