YOURE SIGNING A 5 YEAR CONTRACT AKA 60 MONTHS DO NOT LISTEN TO THEM I WAS DONE WITH ANOTHER COMPANYS CONTRACT PAYING 45$ A MONTH THEY SOLD ME WITH DOORBELL CAMERA THAT THE INSTALL WAS UGLY DRILLED THROUGH MY BRICK HOUSE WITHOUT SAYING SO WHY WOULD I SIGN ANOTHER CONTRACT FOR 5 YEARS AND HIGHER A MONTH OVER $70 WHEN THEY ARE USING THE REST OF THE EQUIPMENT THAT IS 4 YEARS OLD. SLICK TALKING SALESMEN THAT WILL SKIP OVER EVERYTHING DOCUSIGN YOUR CONTRACT AND FAST TALK YOU THROUGH EVERYTHING. TERRIBLE COMPANY WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND

I only gave them one star because that’s the only way you can write a review. I would not recommend this company to anybody. Their security systems are great however I had a stroke in November I contacted them they said to call them back so I called them back in March, they said I needed to have a doctors note or something showing I was unable to pay my bill so my doctor wrote a letter stating because of medical reasons I wasn’t able to work therefore unable to pay my bill. After emailing them the letter they stated they could not cancel my services. They could only freeze them for six months after six months I would have to continue my monthly payments , I don’t know about anybody else but when someone can have a stroke can no longer walk can no longer work and they will not cancel services that’s wrong.
Terrible company to have your security…
Terrible company to have your security with. Six year contract, regardless that our door bell camera and overhead garage camera never worked properly even after service calls. We were told by the technicians that because of the heat in Texas, it interferes with the signal. Camera was always in a shaded area… complete nonsense. More than 50% of the time, it couldn’t pick up what was happening right on the porch. Nor could it maintain a constant connection at night. Not good when I caught a stalker trying to look through my daughter’s window. Their early termination fee, pay the entirety of the contract, even if you want to send the equipment back. With Ring, I haven’t missed a single thing happening around my house. Save yourself from YEARS of grief, go with any other company than AMP Smart.

Terrible company to do business with. Will not work with you at all. A lot of fine print that is easy to miss. There are many more services less costly. Even though your contract is set to expire they still require a written letter or they will automatically renew. Run, DON’T WALK from this company. You have been forewarned. I called to cancel my service in December.
I called to cancel my service in December. They said to e-mail a notice of cancellation. Now they are saying I have to pay for the month of January? I would not recommend this company to anyone. System has been nothing but trouble since we have had it.

No stars is a more accurate rating. Very deceptive salesman and contracts. 5 year price lock isn’t actually guaranteed and can increase due to a whole list of things in the company’s control. Control panel makes a terrible high pitched screeching sound that can cause hearing damage. However, you can get out of your 5 year (price guaranteed but not really) contract by pay over $1800. The solution to the sound the control panel makes is to turn the volume down. So if there is a break-in, what’s the point of even having a security system? Agents are well trained to talk you in circles. Choose another company for your needs.

When the subscription is over after 5 years, they auto renew it without giving a heads up about continuing charges. Horrible service, cameras always going out, having to restart it, by that time what you were hoping to see is gone. Total scam!

Desceptive contracts will lock you in long term and auto-renew with no action on your part. Poor quality parts and service will result in difficult situations using this service. Do not recommend!

Very difficult to cancel
Very difficult to cancel and call center gives a different answer every time. Maybe they aren’t an out and out fraud operation, but I’m pretty sure they’re only in business because they make it so difficult to cancel.
This company is very dishonest
This company is very dishonest. What they are doing (and have been doing ) is highly immoral. Unfortunately, it is legal. They tell you that their equipment needs to be updated and then automatically renew your "contract" for 5 years with an extension of another 5 years. And of course it's all buried in the middle of the contract in small print and they don't tell you that when you sign the work order (for completion of upgrade) that you're actually signing up for an extra 10 years! RIDICULOUSLY DISHONEST! And then they randomly increase the monthly payment unannounced. We have paid enough to purchase an entire home security system for every single person on our street! Buy a DYI system. You'll be WAY BETTER OFF. And it'll be be at least 90% cheaper. I Am disgusted with the immoral dishonesty and hubris of these people. Read your contracts carefully. What the BIG PRINT giveth, the small print taketh away.
This service is a fraud
This service is a fraud. Have tried to cancel for 2 months now. Paid what I thought was the final bill as I was told over the phone then got another monthly bill. You cannot cancel over the phone no matter what they tell you. Have sent an email now which I did before but they couldn't seem to find it. This time I did confirm they received my email but will not cancel till I pay this month's bill. Do not sign up with this company.

We've used AMP Smart for our home security since 2019, and they've always supplied quick & friendly service whenever we've needed them. I received a call from Ronnie today about my payment being past due (turns out I forgot to update when I received a new card last month). I really appreciate how friendly and understanding he was about the balance and how easy he made it for me to get my account updated to the new card. Thanks again!
Horrible company
Horrible company. They have shady business practices. I've been trying to cancel for over two weeks. Then magically I get ahold of the department to cancel when it's less than 30 days by a day so I get charged an extra month. DO NOT GET THIS SERVICE.
